I went to see the Wicked movie with my dad today. He doesn’t like musicals, he’s really old now and is very special and picky, he gets frustrated and angry very quickly. Still, he was SO MOVED by Cynthia’s performance. It made me cry seeing how much he was enjoying the movie because I think it’s been a long time since I’ve seen him that happy in the movie theater. Afterwards, he said that he liked the movie quite a bit and that it was impressive and has never “seen something so spectacular”. I think we should respect the other great performances of 2024, but Wicked has got to be the frontrunner of almost every award. I live in a small town in Argentina. I always hope to watch these smaller films in my theater. Every time I see one there I run to buy a ticket but it's rare or very late in the year. I haven't seen Emilia Pérez, The Piano Lesson, not even The Outrun yet. But I adored this roundtable, every lady here is just so talented and gentle. Kate with her strength and vocabulary, Saoirse super humble and confident. But Zoe and Demi and Danielle surprised me, I didn't know they were so elegant and ambitious actors! Loved this video

Ahhhhh watching this I see what people are talking about with the questions directed to Cynthia. Why didn’t they dig deeper past what was talked about on the press tour. Heck something as simple as we have seen you in Harriet, Drift, Luther and now Wicked. All different but with strong women. How do you go about deciding which roles will be best for you? How do you connect with your characters? Knowing the reason The Color Purple made it to Broadway is attributed to the musical you were a part of in London, how much responsibility to you feel to protect the integrity of your characters. How important is it to you as a Capricorn to protect your peace? Something…
In other news… man I love listening to Kate Winslet and Zoe Saldana. Such wisdom there. And I love the lady sitting between Zoe and Cynthia. I forgot her name but absolutely love hearing about how her mom kept her childhood as normal as possible. Awesome

I've never seen Zoe Saldaña interviewed before and I have to give her props, she had important, powerful words to say and she spoke from the heart. She was asked a question that could have offended people and even those she's worked with before but she explained herself and why she felt stifled so beautifully.
