I got a Cold Steel Gunsite knife about 20 years ago. Reminds me of better days.

If you find more of Cooper, like rifle instructions videos, and or Scout Rifle many would like that ,and not often shown as much as pistol ones.

With my father having served right behind Col Cooper in the USMC as a Marksman/Sharpshooter Instructor, I was fortunate to learn much of Cooper's program very young (11-12yrs old). But as an Instructor for multiple national organizations, I HIGHLY recommend people include Gunsite as one primary and trusted source/component of training. However, use multiple sources... build a funnel of highly skilled and qualified people. With that funnel you will find the best of the best... of the best. There are many great solo instructors (I won't name names as I couldn't name them all), but as it is a constantly evolving science AND art... suck as much knowledge from as many sources as you can. Nobody will ever know it all... now 63 I am still a student and will be until I physically can't any longer.

Would love to hear from Hershel Davis if anyone knows where he is. I'm part of what they called the Gilroy Group, and he was very nice to us. I'd like to bring him up to date.

If you are referring to Master Chief Hershel Davis, he is friends with Don and Diane Shipley. I'm sure they would know how to get ahold of him. They also have videos on their channels, chatting with Davis from earlier this year.

@@WeaponsAffair I was indeed referring to the Master Chief. Several friends and I went to Gunsite together, twice. We were mostly known as "The Gilroy Group." Both times we ran into Hershel and some of his SEALS. This was years ago, but it led to a great friendship and a few get-togethers. Hershel actually had us at Armand Swenson's shop around ten AM, drinking Dom Perignon. He was exceptionally good to us. For the last few years I've been under the impression that Hershel had left us. I'm glad to see that he's up and about. There are only 2 or 3 of the Gilroy Group that are still vertical and able to shoot. I'm one of them.

Very cool experiences. Davis sounds like a great guy.

@@WeaponsAffair He's a great guy, and I'd really like to say "Hi" once more. Of the group that traveled to Gunsite together, I'm about the only one that's still mobile. Lots of us have gone to that great shooting range in the sky.

@@WeaponsAffair I'd heard that Don Shipley and Hershel had a few problems re going after fake SEALS. Don't know if it's true, though.
