That's a great pit and so much safer than an open pit, would make it much more comfortable to use than normal pits. Productivity and retaining your good mechanics is another good thing about this, I'm seriously impressed.
I remember welding up some brackets for a cable like that on a 9380 of a former employer. It pulled a homebuilt tile plow and if it pulled hard we hooked another tractor or dozer in front to help
Ben, speaking of hats, just got mine today. It’s really nice! Thank you! Ohhh, an tell Bandit his sticker is Waaaaaaaayyyyyy cool!! Everyone needs a Blue Heeler...
Watching the cleaning and I was reminded of a conversation I had with a farmer when I was a kid. I asked the difference between dirt and soil. The old farmer thought about it for a second and replied, "Soil is what you have in the field. Dirt is what you have in your house." Haha
Saw one w/ a rolling steel frame that rode on the side channels of the pit. It housed a hydraulic transmission Jack so you could stand on the lowered pit floor while raising or lowering the transmission for removal & replacement.
I have never seen a pit like this ever. Every farmer should have one. Just for the safety factor alone. Most farmers end up doing things on their own. It's rare that you have a spotted while working on things.
Soooo I see you hitting the drain plug... I worked under a badass old-school mechanic and he always preached brass hammers... Especially on dissimilar metals and hydrolic hoses... Unbelievable how amazing it works... Better then any spray or oil out there... Try it sometime... Will change your life.
Like the ability to set a portable rolling tool chest on the ramp, @ floor height, then lower it into the pit with you, then you obviously have access to primary tools while lowered down into the pit, believe the custom version had a small compressor, refrigerator, first aid kit, and toilet w/ extractor/ejector pump recessed into the pit sidewall, under the floor.
Nice video bandit said what is this evil thing it ate Wayne I'm not coming any closer let me out of here he was looking for a way out of there lol wish l had one but say to high for my little shop but might see later own never seen a drain plug that tight before they must have there impact driver on 150# foot pressure to install it instead of hand tighting but stay safe stay healthy stay busy
That look like it was a little of a struggle I'm glad you got it on yeah you got to watch out for that oil it's a little slippery I do like that bit that is really cool you know I could tell you a joke if I won the lottery I'd build you one so you can take it home when that be nice😊🚜 God bless🙏
Wood love to know how expensive these are. Please comment back and let me know. And how I can get in touch with this gentleman about one?Thank you for this youtube video@@iowANFarmer
Are those sealed crankcases, if so pull a vacuum on the oil filler tube and no oil will come out until you turn off the vacuum source. Has worked beautifully on many vehicles especially my Ford 7.3 for the last 17yrs.
I used to change my own oil on my 1969 Nova back in the day. My friend had a pit in their garage believe it or not. It was great for doing things like that.
Oil filters and drain plugs look they get the goodentite treatment at this farm. Shouldn't have to work so hard unscrewing them if they don't get screwed on so tight.
I've heard more than once that insurance companies will not insure a property that has a pit, as a safety issue. This is all hear say mind you, but have anyone else out there ever heard of this? I also think a pit in my shop would be the cat's meow, but I've never really asked my insurance company about it.
I liked how Steve gave Wayne the royal tour, nice man!
Congratulations on this idea
I have so much respect for our great US farmers. Thank you for getting this great tasting food on our tables everyday.
Thank you Dave!
Everyone needs a yellow pit elevator!!!! What a joy to have one of those on the farm. Another great vid.
Thanks!
The video and pit is great. The time spent with Wayne at the end shows character, yours and Steve's.
Thanks Bill!
That’s a fantastic pit. Long overdue. I’ve worked out of the other holes in the floor and this is worlds better.
Thanks!
Oh boy, another thing on the wish list. Great video.

Very true!

Bandit and Wayne are a winning combination in any video :)
Thanks Ellen!

You’re welcome!

Super cool. 👍
What happened to you opening welcome back to the good old southern IA! Always enjoy that.
It slips sometime! I’ll keep at it!
Great pit. Thanks for showing us!

Saw one w/ a rolling steel frame that rode on the side channels of the pit. It housed a hydraulic transmission Jack so you could stand on the lowered pit floor while raising or lowering the transmission for removal & replacement.

That’s awesome. I can’t believe it’s been a year since then. Has my YouTubing improved?
Outstanding video on a couple of products (pit floor and tow cable ). Thanks!
That fan really sets that system apart. Genius.
That pit is nice! I wish we had a place for a pit like that.
It can be used for all types of things!
Great video!
Now that is a nice pit

You bet!
Nice Pit
Thanks for sharing this video of the pit !! Wish I had one back when I could have used it weekly or daily
Awesome pit!
I have never seen a pit like this ever. Every farmer should have one. Just for the safety factor alone. Most farmers end up doing things on their own. It's rare that you have a spotted while working on things.
Brians farming on RUclips needs to see that pit
It look good in their shop!
Hello from Ontario, Canada! That shop pit is such a great idea! Love your videos! Keep up the great work!
Thank you and thanks for watching!!
That is slick!
Boy! what a cats meow of a pit.
That pit elevator / platform is a great idea for new construction. It would save so much aggrivation over the lifetime of a building. Great idea.
I think a person would use it more than they think!
That's a sweet pit and nice to see you get a red tractor lol
I hope it’s a good one!
That Pit is incredible. Brian Brown needs one of those in his new shop
Look good there!
Great video Ben! Learned alot about the pit!
Thanks!
That’s some sweet engineering
Brian’s farming videos was wondering about pits and or lifts for the new shop they are building one of these would be ideal
They would!
Nice pit. Very handy
Awesome video 👌😊👌
Thanks!
Great for easy cleanup looks like
Clean up is super easy! If you had a water hose you’d be on easy street!
Wish it was in my budget. Currently putting in a lift for undercoating, but a pit would be the dream, then weight isn't a limitation. Someday maybe.
Love that pit!
Will do!
What's up
Can't wait til you get more hats! I went to order one over the weekend and they were out of stock. That pit is heckin awesome!
Sorry. I’m not the best merch manager lol
That looks sweet
You really need to let Chet at Larson Farms know about the pit cover. That way his dad can keep it clean with his little wash cart.
Larson Farms needs an upgrade.
The mans a Genius , i bet hes a farmer
He’s very knowledgeable
Awesome pit.. put a Molly on that screw shackle pin. Those cotter pins will fail...
Thanks foe the tip!
Bandit seein the pit: “The two legger’s on his own I’m outta here”!
Lol

You guys should look at yankum ropes they are really useful to pull a truck or tractor
They are nice!
Very cool
Thanks!
Nice video bandit said what is this evil thing it ate Wayne I'm not coming any closer let me out of here he was looking for a way out of there lol

Does this pit need to be in a heated shop or will it work in a non-heated shop in the winter?
I don’t think it does, send an email or call Steve and find out!
That look like it was a little of a struggle I'm glad you got it on yeah you got to watch out for that oil it's a little slippery I do like that bit that is really cool you know I could tell you a joke if I won the lottery I'd build you one so you can take it home when that be nice😊🚜 God bless🙏
Let me know when you do!
Can you design a used oil pump out system in the pit
How do you clean under the pit lift?
He said rarely
Do you have to get them that long or can you get shorter ones please comment back thank you for this video
Contact EWT America for your answers
Wood love to know how expensive these are. Please comment back and let me know. And how I can get in touch with this gentleman about one?Thank you for this youtube video@@iowANFarmer
It looks like ur around Russell iowa
Are those sealed crankcases, if so pull a vacuum on the oil filler tube and no oil will come out until you turn off the vacuum source. Has worked beautifully on many vehicles especially my Ford 7.3 for the last 17yrs.
Not sure if they are!
@@iowANFarmer If it runs an EGR I'm pretty sure it will hold some level of vacuum.
Kinda funny your heelers name is bandit...I've got a heeler named smokey lol
I like it!
Gave Larson Farm's a link to pit kit. They mostly keep vehicle over there's but not always.
Hi Ben . Thanks for the great vid. Good to see Ausy dog, but don't know why he's shy of Ausy Innovation ????? :-) Cheers
I think he was just as nervous about the beeping.
I used to change my own oil on my 1969 Nova back in the day. My friend had a pit in their garage believe it or not. It was great for doing things like that.
Sure beats rolling around on the floor!
cool
That pit looks great! How much $ did that set a feller back?
Depending upon specs
Use antiseize?
Hi
How can I talk to him about getting a pit
641-660-6644 or email in the description!
It would also make an excellent tornado shelter
It would! Have a little cubby in the wall with some emergency stuff as well!
Is this available in canada?
I believe so
Does Steve have a channel too?
He doesn’t
My only question is how mad did Steve get when he saw how much oil you slopped all over his nice shiny yellow pit floor?
Not at all!
Im sure he had some share of spills.
Living out there I bet your not the first to go to the PO with your quad!😅
That’s true!
It is ironic because I just watched the old video where you demoed the pit
Perfect timing then!
I actually hated thought of pit with the dangers associated with get together parties. I will incorporate this in my shop someday. Ha
Larson farms order one yet? 😄
BAndit looked a little unsure. Lol
Very unsure!
Why on earth would you torque your oil drain plug so tight. JSMH
To make me struggle!
Quite loud inside cab
Man that is cool but if the remote stops working and your are under the machine while going up that would SUCK!
It wouldn’t go up if the remote stopped working
Oil filters and drain plugs look they get the goodentite treatment at this farm. Shouldn't have to work so hard unscrewing them if they don't get screwed on so tight.
This vlog was the pits.
Ahhh I see what you did there!
Ha! "Depths of Mordor" lol
Thank you for getting that.

That is a nice pit but it can have one more use. STORM SHELTER.
Sure could!
