You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? “Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.
In the Warner Bros. Pictures film, Margot Robbie (“I, Tonya”) returns as Harley Quinn, alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead (“10 Cloverfield Lane,” TV’s “Fargo”) as Huntress; Jurnee Smollett-Bell (HBO’s “True Blood”) as Black Canary; Rosie Perez (“Fearless,” “Pitch Perfect 2”) as Renee Montoya; Chris Messina (“Argo,” TV’s “Sharp Objects”) as Victor Zsasz; and Ewan McGregor (upcoming “Doctor Sleep,” the “Trainspotting” films) as Roman Sionis. Newcomer Ella Jay Basco also stars as Cassandra “Cass” Cain in her feature film debut.
Directed by Cathy Yan (“Dead Pigs”) from a script by Christina Hodson (“Bumblebee”), the film is based on characters from DC. Robbie also produced, alongside Bryan Unkeless and Sue Kroll. The film’s executive producers are Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman, Geoff Johns, Hans Ritter and David Ayer.
Joining Yan behind the scenes was a creative team comprised of director of photography Matthew Libatique (“A Star Is Born,” “Venom”); production designer K.K. Barrett (“Her”); editor Jay Cassidy (“American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook”) and editor Evan Schiff (“John Wick Chapters 2 & 3”); and costume designer Erin Benach (“A Star Is Born”). The music is by Daniel Pemberton (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”).

1:35 is my favorite part of the whole trailer 😭😭
I actually really enjoyed how different this movie felt compared to the rest of the DCEU. It was a colorful fresh and vibrant new look for a film like this and it was honestly really well done. Margot Robbie kills it as Harley Quinn (as always) and everyone else in the cast did especially well. Ewan Mcregor's Black Mask performance was AMAZING and the action scenes were very slick and brutal yet fun and exciting. Does the film have drawbacks and issues? Of course it does. But I tend to side with the positives of a film more so than the negatives if that's what stands out the most and in this case the positives remain higher then the negatives for me. Great film 8/10

I had went a very long time not watching this movie, and I've got to say I was pleasantly impressed by how fun it was. I'm really upset there were so many people who turned me off from watching this movie because I would have totally went to see this on the big screen had I known it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. I will never understand the hate this movie gets. Such a blast and Margot Robbie is literal perfection. The only things im not a fan of is that Black Mask dies and Cassandra Cain wasnt Cassandra Cain. (but even then this new cass cain was a fun character i just wish they named her something else) this movie is great imo its top 4 DCEU movies imo (with Shazam being #3, Wonder Woman being #2 and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad being #1)

I kind of get why Black Mask was killed off, although I would've liked to have seen him again. At least DC have a great list of villains to pick from.
I think DC have made a few bad films in the last few years, and because of that people like to claim all their other stuff is bad too.
Whereas Marvel have been making mid unfunny films for ages and people lap it up.
The Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, Shazam, Wonder Woman, Joker and The Batman are all better and much more interesting films than most of the recent Marvel products.
