WHAT TO WATCH NEXT: Part 2 of a step-by-step, complete rebuild of a vintage U.S. Divers DA Aquamaster double hose regulator. In this video we service and reassemble the regulator and do final tuning. ruclips.net/video/UavI3XqUYGU/видео.html
Good video. However it is best to relieve pressure on the high pressure seat pin by 1st unscrewing the 2nd stage adjusting screw(part#1023-43) BEFORE unscrewing the high pressure nozzle, just an FYI.
Thank you for straightforward video easy to understand. I learn a lot with information you share. I do own DA Aquamaster. I would like to rebuild my regulator, but couldn't find service/upgrade parts for it. Seems like Vintage Double Hose do not sell service parts any more for some reason. Do you know Sir where can I find them ? Thank you
Nice job. Don't forget to run a Q-tip down the hooka port shaft to clean it out. Even after the ultra sonic cleaner that shaft tends to hang on to nasty stuff. You may rely on that shaft being clear if you run LP accessories off of it. The first stage is shiny chrome and it's not original to this reg. It will still work fine of course. If I understand it correctly, 1958 1st year Aquamasters were not serialized. 1959 to 1973 were. Performance tip. Take the horse shoe lever on the buffer wheel with a little jewelers rouge and polish the area where it makes contact with the metal tabs on the second stage diaphragm. This will significantly reduce breathing effort. And if you can find one, get a silicone reproduction LP diaphragm. It's worth the extra cost. As mentioned in the video, the old duckbills are usually junk. Soaking the can in rubbing alcohol will make it easier to remove the remnants. Great video!
Thanks for the info. I do run a small baby bottle brush through the hookah ports to make sure they are clean. And yes, I have a 1958 with no serial number. I do use silicone diaphragms on the majority of my rebuilds. They are nice.
What are your thoughts on using coatings such as Cerakote to refinish regulators that don't have much chrome plate left? Would you leave them as bare brass instead?
I have a question. I own an old Double hose Mistral (yellow plate on rear of 1st/2nd) there is no hookah port on it. How do I set the Intermediate pressure on this model? Also would this set up take the same parts kit as the one you just rebuilt? I am in the process of rebuilding the same one you are doing a video on and have a spare kit for it and if it can go into the Mistral I want to use it on there. The only thing that I see that is different is that there is no Hookah port.
There is no way to set intermediate pressure on the Mistral. The service kit for the Aqua-Master will not work on Mistral. The Mistral only has one small O-ring to be replaced.
@@DigginwithSeven do you have any videos of a rebuild on a Mistral? the one i have works pretty good as it sits, but i really don't know the last time It was serviced. If you don't have a video of a rebuild, can you direct me where to go to find out more information about servicing it?

Where did u get the kit
That’s probably one of the best demonstrations I’ve seen on RUclips
Thank you buddy. I appreciate it.
The two videos have the best information for servicing DA Aquamaster’s on RUclips. Thank you for making these videos. The Calypso one is great too!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Awesome video! I really enjoyed watching the disassembly & cleaning. Can't wait to see the assembly.
Thanks buddy. I appreciate you watching
Thank you for making this video because of this video I was able to rebuild my DA Navy Double hose regulator. And it works great.
Glad it helped you

Yeah the guy at Vintage Double Hose passed away. Not sure where we will get parts at the moment.
Can you do a video on the Mistral?

U know anyone who would rebuild mine

It’s a personal preference. I wouldn’t have a problem with coating one… I think they look good. I know it’s not vintage, but neither is bare brass.

@@DigginwithSeven Follow the instructions in the USD rebuild handbook for Mistral overhaul and it will breath like a charm.
