[!RELEASED!] Bad Company 2 Mod for Battlefield 2 (V2.0 BETA TEST)

- Finally, you can play this as a standalone mod at the beta test stage.
Recently, I decided to implement some features that may impact the gameplay. So, I released this beta test to get your feedback as much as possible before the fixed release (V2.0).
As a standalone mod, just put the downloaded archives in a folder and extract one of them with Winrar.
Ensure that you've extracted the base mod first and then the patch.
Install the patch by 'Drag n Drop' to where you store the "BAD COMPANY 2 MOD V2.0" mod folder, and then overwrite all of them.
You may be interested in playing with the Leaning feature.
You'll notice that I also included the Python 3 installation file after you extracted the archives. You need to install Python 3 to get it to work.
Please note that most of the weapons don't have a leaning system.
You can check them by aiming the weapon and pressing E or Q.
I recommend you also change the key bind of the Spotting Radio key to F in the control settings.
I might also upload the remaining maps later.

That xm8 is a thing of beauty... Nice job on the beta release, can't wait for the full version!
I always find the MX8 to be horrible in games. Maybe it is the implementation, but usually the gun just burns through ammo while having very bad accuracy.
@@ninochaosdrache3189 Can't say for other games but for me personally the xm8 in bad company 2 was like a laser beam if you tap fire it correctly. I was contesting longer range guns like snipers with it back in the day.

Thank you for uploading your incredible mod, although it is in beta, I was only able to download the first part and see good effects. I hope to be able to download the rest of the part with my terrible internet plus the limit of the download manager to test it, but it looks impressive. Greetings

Hey for some reason whenever I launch the game it never has 1920 x 1080 available in the video settings, it's only 1600..... also, the command line says python not found despite installing it.
Incredible work!! have you ever thought about doing something with 2142? It would be incredible to have a remaster with some new mechanics or changes to limitations of the time.
There's a mod called 2142 Project Remastered. Changes to mechanics may affect the multiplayer playability.

Can we add custom maps? Like, from vanilla bf2, from modded maps, just maps. Cuz there's not that much choices of maps from your mod. I love it tho!! I just want more maps.
Game is crashing for me. After loading the map with 62% i get the error "FXCommon.fx(58): warning X4707: texcoord inputs used directly (that is, other shan sampling from textures) in shader body..."
Any fix?
Try to delete the Bad Company and Battlefield 2 folders in My Documents.

Hey man! I hope you're doing well. I've been playing your mod today and I've gotta say; I've had quite a lot of fun with it. But I have a few questions that I would love if you can answer:
Some weapons are not around, like the XM8. How can I access them?
How do I access the attachment customization?
How can I unlock all customizations? I noticed this in your video
Each map has its own kit set. You might find it in another maps. Customization: Hold Q + right mouse button.

The gunfight of this mod is so good but can i ask something, what does dpallunlocks do?
It's for weapon unlocks purpose. If you want to custom the kits with unlockable weapons, you can use it to get it work.

Love the mod, just wish I could play it. I have been testing different fixes, such as deleting the cache files, booting through a different launch batch, etc. However, the game keeps crashing with memory.dll errors whenever I load a map. It reaches around 55%-62% and either crashes immediately or freezes during geometry generation/optimization only to crash, and then prompts the type of crash error. The most recent memory.dll error I can recall was something about a block size of like 20000 and then in parenthesis it stated some message about exceeding 20mb. Hope this helps you.

Well, i don't see the problem here. I am really trying to get this sh!t to work but it won't. Even after deleting the Bad Company folder in my documents. If i start the BAT file, i get into the game and i have to choose for multiplayer or singleplayer. I choose singleplayer and all what i see is a message saying "Sarting Singleplayer" and nothings happens anymore. Clicking only makes the message disappear. After restarting the game, i can choose my profile but as soon as i want to load a map, i come to 50% and the game crashes for no reason without any error.
It's just bullshit.

No servers, just Singleplayer.

@@MohammedFurqon hey i downloaded the mod but the display mode is only available at 800*600 and 1024*768 although default bf2 can go up to 1366*768 screen resolution in my pc
Try to modify the launcher. Right click on it and click edit. You'll find the resolution size there, then change it and save.

Thanks! It's interesting, because the python scripts are loaded right before the map starts loading. Something related to the mid time loading crash possibly geometry error or memory.dll error. I'll try to figure it out.

Why not playing bad Company 2 instead? Which looks and feels a lot better
I play both games. BFBC2 can't add more weapons, maps, features, etc.

How to unlock sustom weapon attach
If you installed the patch, they shall be unlocked. Hold Q and click the right mouse button to open the customization.

To boost your FPS. Because this mod uses many custom features that require more performance. By enabling it, some features may become disabled.
