    For some reason, juice bottles tend come in interesting shapes that are good for this sort of thing. As for the lighting Jim mentioned, that will only work if you do something to ensure the light won't shine through the rest of the model before building. If Jim were to just put an LED in this model's cockpit, the entire thing would light up, despite the multiple layers of paint.

    Plastic bottles like Gatorade, floor cleaning products, etc have labels on them that are attached with glue. My first inclination is to use Goof Off to remove the glue from the bottle to make it smooth. I've had various results. What do you use to remove the label glue from the plastic bottle to get it smooth?

    this is the first video of this kind that i have seen on youtube and you dont seem to have too much experience, so i´ll go easy on you. first the positive things:
    love the music. like. srsly. i wouldnt mind listening to this kind of music every now and then.
    you´re clearly very skilled at building props, even just jumping through your video just looking at the different stages of the things you´re tinkering with is very satisfying.
    you have a lot of knowledge and experience in what you´re doing and we can see that in many different ways all throughout the video, even for the mere fact of how informative this video is.
    now the negative points:
    you arent the most charismatic person ever. combined with the long stretches of talking (first 4.5 minutes of the video) you make most viewers probably quit before the good stuff.
    in the parts where you are working on your props, you dont seem to do too much. i think people expect more. turn your camera on more while you´re working, even if it is just you sitting there and thinking, but especially when you´re actually building sth. consider using a camera strapped to your head. it will make your videos more engaging. try filming everything you do. ps: heck, even just walking through your workshop finding things to tinker with, it passively shows us your stuff without you having to say a word.
    in short:
    keep in mind that most people on youtube are much younger than you are
    and dont build stuff for a living. try keeping the infos to a minimum and only fill us in on the parts that are important for that very step.
    maybe even tease us in the beginning with what you´ll end up with, or maybe a random part while you´re working, sitting in a whole pile of material and saying sth edgy.
    cheers

    • @nevermindmeijustinjectedaw9988
      @nevermindmeijustinjectedaw9988 7 лет назад

      lol just realized you pretty much did what i advised you to do in the second part of the video. interesting, you went for trying many different techniques in one video.
      anyway, keep it up

    • @nevermindmeijustinjectedaw9988
      @nevermindmeijustinjectedaw9988 7 лет назад

      damn, i also just saw that you did indeed tease us with the video´s pic, problem is, that me and the whole notification squad dont see it and therefore have to sit through a lot of minutes to see anything interesting (like for our eyes)

    I'm curious what items might you use if you were trying to make starship minis for like a tabletop wargame. I've been doing some searching and haven't yielded many results in the scale I'm looking to make. Also, is there a superglue you would recommend? I've had alot of trouble gluing scrap plastics together. I have learned that alot of polypropylene plastics don't respond to superglue and need hot glue. Sorry for so many questions and thank you in advance.
