@swimmingbird1 Watch the video dawg, she told people who have sisters or female friends. I had neither hence they were alien to me. I added the only child part to tell that I had no siblings, nothing else.
I really think this was because of how schools and family depicted females in various settings, as weak and always in need of help. And if you get caught speaking to one or speaking about them, they immediately consider it as romantic interest, which made it harder for boys to approach girls and understand them.

That boy and girl sitting together being projected as weird is still very prevalent in patna. My dad got transferred from mumbai to patna this year and my god has it been a cultural shock. Having friends of the opposite gender is considered equivalent to being a relationship. Loved your approach towards these issues tho, very refreshing to see !!
I'm a viewer from Pakistan and we have the same problems, I grew up in a household which reinforced this type of "humour" (wife hating, marriage hating, skin color hating type, even curly hair) was so glamorized, even now my elders make these jokes with their wives in front of them and laugh, like it's so uncomfortable for the wives also but they put on a smile What the hell is wrong with our culture? Facebook has definitely had a permanent impact on Indian online culture especially the older gens, my parents believing anything with adheres to their confirmation bias and cause issues for us 😭. And I discovered your channel a few weeks ago, you make pretty good content on issues and your own interests and ideas. Great video once again.
THIS IS SOOO FRRR like- All those Facebook posts from the past and today's Instagram posts are literally in some way, yk are based on the same racism and all that stuff; they just now gave it a fancy term as "dark humor," which consists of shaming people on their skin color, disabilities, or just their religion, which is just dumb af. And idk why, but this Gen Z generation, yk just, like- criticizes anyone for literally anything. Like, for example, once I saw a woman on Instagram stating that "she saw a man in his early 20s learning how to skate and all that," and she was, yk yapping abt how that is so odd and it should be illegal and all that, and I found it so dumb, tbh like- ykwim?? This Gen Z generation is so obsessed with "nonchalance" and, yk being "cool" and "not giving a shit" that at this point it is so toxic that people are criticizing people for their simple choices in life-whether it be their clothing style, etc etc, and as you mentioned, people calling you "chapri" just because you dyed your hair and all that is just so insane and so annoying sometimes.
so true, dark humour is meant to mock the perpetrator, and to light-hearten a situation, but so often do people route their way to mocking the victim. and then they try to justify their bigotry by saying 'humor is subjective'. its so annoying, really.
Bro can't stress more on this. These weirdos will Start objectifying girls call them shit. Bully someone on their origin and call it joke. Earned a new subscriber
really proud to see a young Indian girl cover these topics. I'm a little older than you but younger me would have found these videos healing. Keep em coming!!!!
Indians especially Lindus using the word "woke" is very funny to me because they are more woke than the actual wokes For example they Get offended over a movie scene movie dialogue Others food choices Romantic partner etc.
ive thought about this over and over and over and over and it is something you eventually choose to just keep yourself away from...the whole superiority god complex narrative can be found literally everywhere you look be it liking music or artists ("abe chal taylor swift kon sunta hai meri teri dhh lover bano so underrrated and unique hqhqhqhq) or hating on people, especially kids for liking stuff and posting about what they like, or even worse borderline rapist remarks under literal children ("kabhi to badi hogi" "sanskar umar se bade hain" "fatherless" or just straight ab verbally abusing them for likes) this rabbit hole goes as deep as you dig especially in this age where almost all the media we consume is filled with this and this has become so normalised and we people desensitiesed. and the sad part is theres actually nothing you can do to change the conditioning of these people's brains; the only thing stopping them from doing lord knows what is just a screen. im glad at least someone's covering this, so yeah great work for that misimi hope you make more such videos.
I used social media (Facebook) from 2017 to 2018 and I remember being blocked by RVCJ Media because of my trolls. The soft influence they were having on young folks was beyond problematic (and exceedingly cringe obviously). Props to you for this video!
Most memes are garbage like puneet superstar thing even when something serious happens people make memes about it, including sensitive topics like rape cases.they often try to create memes around things that are genuinely good or hyped just to stand out from the majority It's like dude if something is good you should appreciate it but nah bro just wants to be unique lol
I did not know about the zendaya hatred by these pages but wow. Can't say I'm shocked. But thank you for calling this out. We all grew up with this and I'm glad that at least some of us learnt and grew out of it unlike the ones who think this is peak humour. I'm lucky I never came across the nsfw ones because wtf did I just see girl
Damn i didn’t know chapri was a casteist slur up until now and people have normalised to such an extent btw i discovered your channel recently and really appreciate your content keep up the good work.
Oh my god, back in 2018 when i was in 9th grade, a bunch of pick me girls were my friends, and they used to proudly call their behaviour and attitude as "mardana" and my behaviour as girly, as if being girly was a crime. They used to make fun of me for really small things and because i needed validation , i also became a pick me in the process, not realising that it was an internalized misogyny. Looking back now, i feel bad for myself. And now, i do anything which brings joy to my heart and is not based on a gender.
Ah!!! I now remember the times when I found memes like that funny. Never realised the effects it would have and the unlearning was a good reality check
"I lied, wear you clothes back and do a discussion with me on how indian meme community now is ran by those very people who were supposed to be laughed at in the og memes" damn bhai this video feels like you collected all my thoughts about current memes scenario and made a video on it (can i sue you? 👉🏻👈🏻) it's so good. Keep up the good work 🗣️💛.
9:40 the other day i saw a video on Reddit where a person did a Ghost Rider cosplay (it wasn't perfect but he tried) and he set his helmet and bike on fire for the cosplay. 95% of the comments were just "Chhapriii". Like, the person had fun, he wasn't injured, he did it late at night when the road was empty, and put out the fires as soon as he finished recording, so why do those incels have to point out non-existent negatives? Gen Z and Gen Alpha are so fked
I also agree with the boys talking with girls part because as a boy, I can completely relate to that. I have been subjected to that "Ohhoo" and "Bhabhi hai" even if i am just asking normal questions or just talking.
bruv don't take it a bad way but i love this typa content it feels like your informing me while incorporating your life idk how to say it duh it's giving riya gogoi ending vid vibes✨
The worst thing about Indian internet is people adopt the trends from the west, overuse it without knowing the actual context. Best example is use of the word nibba. It's actually the censored version for the N-word and the whole meaning was changed in-here and even worse, added a feminine term for it 'nibbi'
3:38 Ok, I actually did used to think that women are a different species. Would spend a lot of time on the internet and seeing a girl on the internet, I was like "WTF, WOMAN ON INTERNET!!!1!!1!!!" But it has changed a lot now
hi misimi, just saw your yt video thumbnail includes the word "chapri" in it. in good faith, wanted to inform you that it has casteist origins and can be hurtful to the marginalized sections of society, which im sure was not your intention. would be a good thing if you could kindly edit it out!
9:06 Hi, thank you for watching. it is mentioned in the video to explain how it is a casteist slur. I think removing it out and shying away from speaking on it will leave more people uninformed.
@@dontmisimivalid, my only concern was if the thumbnail itself could be misinterpreted without viewing the vid, but i get your point! all the best and cheers :)

omgg this video is just so cool.. it's so real, memes are more than just fun now-they've changed how we think...even caused problems...you explained everything really well, especially how humor can be misused. really appreciating your efforts in bringing up this topic...you're so cool, love you (happy to watch misimi 12 hours straight XPP)
Bro u spoke so true on boys vs girls meme topic 💪🏼🎀
Facebook has definitely had a permanent impact on Indian online culture especially the older gens, my parents believing anything with adheres to their confirmation bias and cause issues for us 😭. And I discovered your channel a few weeks ago, you make pretty good content on issues and your own interests and ideas. Great video once again.
THIS IS SOOO FRRR like-
All those Facebook posts from the past and today's Instagram posts are literally in some way, yk are based on the same racism and all that stuff; they just now gave it a fancy term as "dark humor," which consists of shaming people on their skin color, disabilities, or just their religion, which is just dumb af. This Gen Z generation is so obsessed with "nonchalance" and, yk being "cool" and "not giving a shit" that at this point it is so toxic that people are criticizing people for their simple choices in life-whether it be their clothing style, etc etc, and as you mentioned, people calling you "chapri" just because you dyed your hair and all that is just so insane and so annoying sometimes.
so true, dark humour is meant to mock the perpetrator, and to light-hearten a situation, but so often do people route their way to mocking the victim. and then they try to justify their bigotry by saying 'humor is subjective'. its so annoying, really.
love ur videos sm honestly, keep making more of these
Misimi is back with an another banger 💯💯
Bro can't stress more on this. These weirdos will Start objectifying girls call them shit. Bully someone on their origin and call it joke. Earned a new subscriber
really proud to see a young Indian girl cover these topics. I'm a little older than you but younger me would have found these videos healing. Keep em coming!!!!
Your grip on pop culture is admirable. Great video!
if i were to bring these topics and slip them irl convos ppl would call me "too woke" or ignore. this video was really needed
Indians especially Lindus using the word "woke" is very funny to me because they are more woke than the actual wokes
For example they Get offended over a movie scene
movie dialogue
Others food choices
Romantic partner etc.
Was waiting eagerly for you to post...here we are
Finally someone calling this out!! Amazing video..
Dark humour guys get offended the moment anyone *criticizes thier religion*
Discovered your content a few weeks back. Really like your take and matured insights on the topics you pick. Continue your good work!
It's so hard to find open minded folks on Indian social media 😬
So glad to have found this channel ❤
ive thought about this over and over and over and over and it is something you eventually choose to just keep yourself away from...the whole superiority god complex narrative can be found literally everywhere you look be it liking music or artists ("abe chal taylor swift kon sunta hai meri teri dhh lover bano so underrrated and unique hqhqhqhq) or hating on people, especially kids for liking stuff and posting about what they like, or even worse borderline rapist remarks under literal children ("kabhi to badi hogi" "sanskar umar se bade hain" "fatherless" or just straight ab verbally abusing them for likes) this rabbit hole goes as deep as you dig especially in this age where almost all the media we consume is filled with this and this has become so normalised and we people desensitiesed. and the sad part is theres actually nothing you can do to change the conditioning of these people's brains; the only thing stopping them from doing lord knows what is just a screen. im glad at least someone's covering this, so yeah great work for that misimi hope you make more such videos.
omg misimi, you were exactly spitting what I wanted to, goated af, W
I used social media (Facebook) from 2017 to 2018 and I remember being blocked by RVCJ Media because of my trolls. The soft influence they were having on young folks was beyond problematic (and exceedingly cringe obviously). Props to you for this video!
Most memes are garbage like puneet superstar thing even when something serious happens people make memes about it, including sensitive topics like rape cases.they often try to create memes around things that are genuinely good or hyped just to stand out from the majority It's like dude if something is good you should appreciate it but nah bro just wants to be unique lol
Girl kudos to you for this!! Looking forward to watching more videos from you !! 🎉
Yeah I've experienced it at a very young age when i was in a discord group it just got more and more toxic about racism ,dark humour etc
you’re a genius, I’ve seen many ppl do these kind of deep dives on western topics but only you I think are focusing on Indian/south Asian topics
As an Indian, I only use Instragram for my own preferences. I love gacha games and anime, so I usually do that to get intouch with the community more.
OML ME TOO YOU PLAY GENSHIN???!!?
Oh my god, back in 2018 when i was in 9th grade, a bunch of pick me girls were my friends, and they used to proudly call their behaviour and attitude as "mardana" and my behaviour as girly, as if being girly was a crime. They used to make fun of me for really small things and because i needed validation , i also became a pick me in the process, not realising that it was an internalized misogyny.
Looking back now, i feel bad for myself. And now, i do anything which brings joy to my heart and is not based on a gender.
Girl your videos are the best ✨️🤌🎀 ... finally found a girl who think like meh 😮💨✨️
Omg I'm very lucky got a heart only in 2 minutes 👽😭
Gurl this is a very important issue that you have highlighted here.
when the world needed her most, she came back :DD i love your commentaries, very short and thoughtful
Ah!!! I now remember the times when I found memes like that funny.
Never realised the effects it would have and the unlearning was a good reality check
Nowadays even absolutely vulgar content in the name of "dark comedy" Has increased a LOT. The so called cool youth is totally mentally phucked up
11:08 rage baits are so annoying and the fact that most of these accounts are based in india makes it more sad and concerning
Forget about facebook, I stopped using Insta as well. Too much brainrot and toxicity and much of my feeds were filled with gawar bullshit.
Finally someone talking about this 😭💗
love your content, pls post regularly !!!!!!
Gen Z and Gen Alpha are so fked
the new and improved olisunvia
nah she way different than olisunvia , olisunvia is a proper Philosophy major
I also agree with the boys talking with girls part because as a boy, I can completely relate to that. I have been subjected to that "Ohhoo" and "Bhabhi hai" even if i am just asking normal questions or just talking.
Really great topic hardly anyone is talking about this!
sigma memes in 2021,22,23 are the best thing happened to internet , the phonk music hell yeah....
Freaking love your videos man
I genuinely love your videos and how well you cover all these different topics. You are so underrated... Wish you more success🤍
bruv don't take it a bad way but i love this typa content it feels like your informing me while incorporating your life idk how to say it duh
it's giving riya gogoi ending vid vibes✨
I was waiting for you to post a video ughhhh and finallyyyy 😭✨
The worst thing about Indian internet is people adopt the trends from the west, overuse it without knowing the actual context. Best example is use of the word nibba. It's actually the censored version for the N-word and the whole meaning was changed in-here and even worse, added a feminine term for it 'nibbi'
I didn't know that now that I see it it makes sense as they always sounded similar but i thought it was like a way to refer to like teen couples
we're eating well with this upload
WAKE UP BABE!! NEW MISIMI POST JUST DROPPED!! 🗣️🗣️
3:38 Ok, I actually did used to think that women are a different species. Would spend a lot of time on the internet and seeing a girl on the internet, I was like "WTF, WOMAN ON INTERNET!!!1!!1!!!" But it has changed a lot now
lmao
mythically epic content, keep winning gurllllll
I js discovered ur channel and i love it😭
hi misimi, just saw your yt video thumbnail includes the word "chapri" in it. in good faith, wanted to inform you that it has casteist origins and can be hurtful to the marginalized sections of society, which im sure was not your intention. would be a good thing if you could kindly edit it out!
