    That sand NEARLY got me, I was on a tiger 1200 on road tyres, first time 'off road' on a 'big bike'.
    Front tucked and I went full feet out paddling to hold it up (not easy when you're vertically challenged like me 😂).
    Enjoyed it, but I did make sure I only went out when it was dry, wasn't worth chancing without decent tyres! Until next year!

    • @OllieMoto
      @OllieMoto  Год назад

      Haha, excellent 👏🏻 Yup, you need decent tyres. Sand is always a f***er too - the way to not fall over is to lean back, look forward an pin the throttle, but that’s easier said than done when you think you’re about to fall off!

    Hi Ollie, have only just come across your content and it’s great stuff, especially when you’re a local guy and adventure on places like SPTA👍.
    You mention in this video people are using road tyres, I was wondering what tyres you and your mates are using?
    I’m looking at taking my GSA1200 more off-road and use it for more of what it’s designed to do.
    I currently run Michelin Anakee Adventure.
    Keep up the good work pal, and possible see you out and about around Andover/Salisbury way👍

    • @OllieMoto
      @OllieMoto  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey man, thanks for the kind words.
      My friends and I use a mix of all sorts. If you’re looking for a 50/50 tyre then I’m a big fan of the Mitas E07’s. As for more off-road tyres, a lot of people I know use stuff from Motoz. My 990 currently has an E09 on the rear, and Pirelli MT21 on the front.
      What I would say is that opinions on tyres are wide and varied. Just grab a set that has the right amount of knobbles for what you want and give them a go. Yes, 50/50 tyres suck in the mud. Yes, 80/20 will suck on wet tarmac. Ignore all the negative opinions and go for it! 👊🏻

    Buy a DJI Osmo action 4. No more crashes, longer battery life and easy wireless mic hook up. No cables. lol no dropped video clips either. Go pro are terrible for reliability issues. 😊

    • @OllieMoto

      I didn’t even realise there was a tractor there doing so! 😂 To be fair, kudos to ABR for at least thinking about dust suppression but they were fighting a losing battle; as I said in the video it had absolutely chucked it down for around 20 minutes just before we started filming, and it was still dusty!

      This isn't for hard core riders its an event to let people experience a little bitof what it's like to ride off road on their adventure bikes which would normally only ever see a Starbucks Cark park.
