You're feeling ALL the feels! I love how genuine you are, sharing the highs and lows. You are strong and understand so well how your body works best. You don't seem to carry snacks, like trail mix or fruit or juice from the small groceries. The periodic cafe stops are helpful to rest and refuel, but I'm a big fan of carrying snacks so I don't get hangry or frustrated. It's great to see you point out little wonders along the path and appreciate the views. You really are living in the here and now. Bravissima!
Thank you! And ohhhh I carried snacks! But I used them more as an emergency or low-mood fuel. At one point my anxiety was so high about the possibility of not having a pilgrim dinner at my aubergue along the way that I carried an entire container of dry pasta for 2 weeks, I also hoarded those free little baguettes you get with every meal and had a dip for the bread. It was heavy 🤣 when I stopped carrying as much food was when I learned to trust the Camino 🥰 I mean, I still had chips or fruit with me, but not entire dinner meals lol
@@FNDingMyWay I should have known you had an emergency stash. I'm starting to understand the whole idea of trusting the Camino. I'm just about 60 days out. Since my friend had to back out, I will be going alone. I've been researching the Francés, but am researching and may switch to the Portugués coastal route. I imagine the views are pretty great there. I have 21 days max, so I think the Portugués will work best. Thanks for all your tips, and it's great to see how you're beating back the bad vibes that creep in. Wishing you luck, and I can't wait to see the rest of your videos!
Hello Sweet Soul. I’ve watched your content through both Caminos and you prep for the second. Please know I am so grateful to get to see your journey. I appreciate your honesty. You are doing amazing and are giving me hope that I can maybe do a Camino. I have issues with anxiety and depression and thought I’d give up to quickly. Thanks for sharing!
You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to! I will say, I had access to text my therapist at any moment and knowing there was someone there to give my support or talk through things with was so helpful. I'll put out a video after the series is uploaded going over how I handled my anxiety and depression along the way and what helped me to push on. I hope it can be helpful to you! If you do try the Camino and decide to go home, just remember that you didn't fail. Failing would have been the act of not trying to begin with. If i hadnt tried the first time, I never would have gone and tried again. It is the best thing I've ever done for myself, and it was worth every struggle and tear just to be able to prove to myself how capable I am. Lastly, thanks for your sweet words and watching both of my journeys!
You are making such good progress!! You are overcoming so many obstacles!! The Camino Angels are taking good care of you!! Rooting for you!!👑🫅👑
