I watched today's episode using my brand new *Apple AirPods Max on Apple TV* . What a differnce. I could hear all the seagull and other birds' sounds. Purring, squawking, crying, squealing.........And even the ocean waves. An excellent video and beautiful photos as usual. Thanks.
Lovely morning and great shots. Kept thinking how much fun Pebbles would have had at the beach. Look forward to seeing all the amazing photos in the contest. Awesome cause.
Just found you and thank you. My escape for a few minutes. My description of this is soul speak, can't describe it any other way lol. Gorgeous spot and gorgeous images. I felt the peace and wonder, I was lucky enough to be camping on a beach once, it was dead calm, same, and there were two dolphins playing as the sun was setting. You could still hear them splashing as the light disappeared. Looking forward to watching more.
Lovely. Thank you, Nigel. I love minimalist seascapes. I think it is very personal, reflecting your experience there, because my minimalist photos tend to get fewer faves on my flickr page than busier images. No matter.
Lockdown back on track in France, can't go beyond 10km for walking, and of course, the ocean is 11km from my home, so frustrating. So thank you for the walk. Great work with those shots! Love it.
My favourite and local beach. You captured it perfectly in this video. It is the most wonderful place at sunrise and sunset and I often walk the tide line and am amazed at the light throughout the year... it’s also pretty good when it’s a bit stormy!
@@gordondryden6266 not sure if you can DM on RUclips comments. Drop me a line on Instagram @scottrell727 and I will let you know. Not sure if Nigel let’s people know his locations?? So would rather not do it via this means.
Just recently found your channel. I'm fortunate enough to live very close to the coast. Feeling inspired. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Nigel finally a landscape with many similarities where I live in the flat Netherlands. I did indeed plan the COAST PROJECT, but your video will bring it to the fore in the agenda. Wonderful ideas, statements and motivations gained from your advice and the final results.
Very instructive.I live a few km from the Sands of Forvie estuary/beach/sand dunes reserve and you have inspired me to take a new view of its beauty on less dramatic days.
I've always preferred the peace of sunrise as there are often more people around at sunset but after 3.5 months of lockdown I've discovered more the 'joy' of getting up at stupid O'clock for summer sunrises. No-one but photographers are stupid enough to do it so we get to enjoy many places in solitude. Love the idea of your 'Plan Chest' for prints.....one day maybe the kids will leave home and I'll get a room for a studio with one and a decent printer!🙄
G’day Nigel. I’ve been very much a stay at home body for several weeks due to life’s challenges. It’s great to see you at your best and I’m back into life again taking your advice. Stay safe Mate.
Such a beautiful morning and scene. That is just my cup of tea. Too bad I live too far from a sea though. We do have some beautiful lakes but no tides. All beautiful images, but my fave was the landscape orientation with the waves.
Great video, Nigel. I have tended to avoid a barrens beach, no rocks, no mangrove, nothing of interest. How wrong, have I been. The beach itself, sand and water are all you need and a little solitude helps. Thanks.
I love how you weren't even bothered about the photographs, instead just appreciating being out there. I always sense a great deal of gratitude from you for the life that you have and it's such a wonderful example of how to live.
I’m amazed that no one else was there to photo bomb your shots?? A place that beautiful and peaceful should draw a crowd. And then you’d have the Yogi Berra paradox, “It’s so crowded, nobody goes there any more.”
Presume you that's was Southport Ainsdale or Crosby..? You've inspired me to get to the beach early before people arrive and ruin the atmosphere.. We've got amazing locations in the Northwest.. Great stuff...!!
It doesn't get much better than this. Have missed you saying it. Your excitement really comes across your videos. We have another week to go before i can get to our beaches in the west of Ireland. Really looking forward to it.😊😊😊
Simplistic in photography is a lost art these days with camera phones and the such. It is so easy to just take a quick pick and keep moving. Slowing down and waiting to see what the landscape is going to do on its own is just a special moment so many miss...
Honestly Nigel, videos like this confirm you as a master of photography in my opinion. Your ability to make images out of very little is amazing. Great video.
Stunning serene peaceful morning for a yomp on the beach and what - sand on the beach ha ha ! Great tide timing with the virgin beach, rivulets and S curves to shoot - one of my favourite spots for this type of photography is Formby Beach - there's an oil rig off the coast which makes for a superb minimal shot at sunset. I was trying to work out where you were and was actually thinking Formby with those pines behind the dunes. Great stuff Nigel :)
Another great Sunday morning experience shared with you. It's always a nice way to start the week. I'm afraid I'd have to stay up all night to get up as early as you do, but as you've said many times, that's when the opportunity is greatest to capture some great shots. Wishing you well for the next week from here in Florida.
So lovely to see you enjoying some peace and nature. How special to have the place to yourself. Love seascape photography and have been practising some of this in my home town. Thanks Nigel, always appreciate your videos.
You make my Sunday’s mornings better Nigel! Love this video and location. Great shots! Did you have to be careful about where you left your footprints when you were composing?
Once again, your passion and enthusiasm are infectious, Nigel. Thank you! You mention a 3-image pano with the 24. By the looks of it, I assume you mean that pano is vertical, correct?
Thanks, Nigel. Both your joy of being there and the images you took are inspiring. This is a very memorable video that I will run again with my wife. Thanks a lot.
Amazing conditions - love the landscape shot when the horizon disappears. Lovely relaxed feel to it all anyway. Not as relaxing as staying in bed, but nice all the same 😆
Nice shots as always Nigel. Good to hear about the Landscape photography comp. I will find something to enter, even if only to make a donation to a good cause.
I live in an area full of empty beachscapes like this, and until I saw your video always thought there was nothing to take a photo of. What you've achieved here has changed my mind
Your appreciation of the tranquility and serenity of your amazing morning just gave me a smile and happy feeling that lasted for the rest of the day! Thanks Nigel for making me look forward to Sundays mornings :-)!
I am a very amateur landscape photographer, but I must admit that some of my most enjoyable and rewarding photography experiences have been doing just what you did, primarily with a standard zoom lens. Just a combination of the light, calm, space and tranquility. I'm glad you had a nice time! Thanks for the video.
Funny - for my video this week I also went to the coast to do minimalist long exposures. Perhaps it's a symptom of lockdown and not being able to travel far afield. Great to see the sea anyway, and great video, as always.
Absolutely love mornings like these, even more so because they are so rare to experience. But wonderful when they do happen. Thanks for the Zen-moment in my day ❤
You are phenomenal photography at youtube ... and i learning frome your photography alot of landscape photoshoot... I beginning landscape photography... I'm Already weeding photography ... I hope some day meet you
I'll be entering because I love the concept. I doubt I have much chance of winning but why not. I believe I can pay the £10 entry fee now and upload my entries later. That'll commit me to doing it.
I think this is probably my favourite video of yours - the fact that you simply enjoyed being there ( I’m guessing somewhere on the Cumbrian coast - would love to know where, so I could see it for myself) and still got some beautiful images.
Those A1 and A0 drawers are great; I teach landscape designers and we have them for plans and maps. They get a bit damaged if going into the drawers too often, so we now use hanging cabinets, that work excellently. Loved the opening cinematic shot's minimalism
I decided to leave a comment just in case it will help you to drive your channel because I do finding it so much inspiring and interesting, thank you for your work!
Im ashamed to say I live across the road from a beach in North Wales and I’ve done a million sunsets but never a sunrise. You have inspired me thank you 😊
Lovely and inspiring. Especially for us Australians who all pretty much love on the coast. I've been meaning to ask for a while now, why don't you like blue? You also mentioned it only works well with orange. Could you explain a bit more about this?
Very inspiring as always Nigel. Thank you for posting. I have enjoyed watching you during lockdown. You have kept me sane!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful images! Thank you posting your fine work.
Absolutely superb Nigel - really loved it -magic minimalism
Beautiful! Tranquil and beautiful seascapes.

The 24-70 is my favorite travel lens. By that, I mean the lens I take when I leave home.
Great video Nigel!
Beautiful images Nigel, loved the video work also, thanks for sharing.
I'm absolutely enjoying all your videos and finding them very inspirational, very high quality videos, thank you
Some really;outstanding minimalist photographs. I will be taking my camera out for blue hour and sunrise on my next beach trip.
