As any conscientious boat owner will attest, maintaining even dense woods like teak that are located outdoors is a constant challenge. Treatments that are intended to 'soak in' - like this product - vs. remain as a surface treatment (like varnish) inevitably require frequent retreatment. I've used a number of products of both types on sailboats' exterior wood over the years and, like boat owners everywhere, have yet to find a product that doesn't require a lot of labor. But thank you, Jon, for identifying the product.
Keen to see the update at the end of the summer. No matter how much I read up on and experiment with finishes I still get nervous when making a decision. To me finishing to woodworking is like baking to cooking.
I remember when you built that outdoor sink cabinet, I’d like to see that get refinished. Hint hint. Lol

I'd like to think that my comment from yesterday, asking about the finish, was the reason why this video was posted. 😂 Just seemed odd to me....a finish that required recoats after only a few months.
Are you putting any on the underside?

Most beautiful outdoor wood table I have ever seen. Is it exposed to U.V, rain, bird do, salt air etc.? What happens if you set a beer on it? Does it leave water rings? The beauty of your finish is beyond impressive. I do a lot of exotic wood finishing on homes. However, I have never used the product you are demonstrating.
