We asked Kansas City Chiefs players to name their favorite meals at local restaurants, and their choices should surprise no one. This bunch favors/craves/gushes about protein. And in Kansas City, that means barbecue.
“My favorite restaurant here is Jack Stack for sure. Barbecue. Love barbecue,” offensive lineman Creed Humphrey told The Star after a recent practice. Humphrey played football at the University of Oklahoma after a standout high school wrestling career.

Joe's. Jumbo beef brisket on a bun, side of dirty rice, fries, and BBQ beans. Dip your fries in the beans!
KC is the best BBQ town in the country hands down (yeah I probably have a bias). KC does have its own style of BBQ and there is plenty of it to be had there. But it also has everybody else’s style also. The amount of BBQ joints in KC is insane compared to other places. Whatever style you prefer, it can be found in KC. Haven’t ever looked but I’d bet you could even find a Vegan BBQ place 😂
Jack Stacks and Gates
Got a Q39 AND a Jack Stack in this list!!! It would have been crazy awesome if someone said... Pancho's! There's just too many amazing places to list, the Rub out in Olathe...Strouds....Bryants...Too.Many.Places!!
Cant believe he said GJ's. Hole in the wall spot in South KC by Ruskin area.
Only place i get my wings!
Arthur Bryant's is my favorite for sauce but for the all-around meal I would say KC Joe's. Found Jazzy B's last time I was in KC. Amazing food and the owner is a damn good guy! Super cool place!
“My wife’s vegan”
Me: 😭🤣
Joes ribs/Zman/ fries insanity
JackStack is top notch
🤣 Dang MVS.
Jackstack burnt ends are the absolute best!!
Q39 has the best burnt ends
CHAR BAR IS FIRE
Justin Watson! You are splitting a vegan pasta dish? You should have just said "no comment"
Yummy!!
My brother has been to most of these KC places. None of these were on there
It has been a while since I’ve been in KC. But I remember Snead’s being pretty dang good.
Go Chiefs!
Sneads went out of biz a few years ago.. it was pretty good BBQ…
OLLIE GATES hands down
Nothing shows your pecking order like a "My wife is vegan." answer.
Danny Edward's bbq is the best in kc.
Always good.
Harp BBQ!
Big T's is the best BBQ in KC
Is that before or after a jazz bath?
Vegan? I feel for you Justin.
I bet you do, you hunk
Well I guess I can say you save a lot of money by cooking at home.
GATES
RIP LC’s BBQ I went back once after he passed away and it was godawful
Fr? Didn’t know he passed away. Loved LCs but I live in Dallas now
As a Kansascitian the 1st dude is the only one I'd listen. If you listen to the rest you played yourself
Outsiders think joes but Jack stack is for the true KC natives
Married to a vegan? Ouch, that blows man.
L C's
Jack stack is most overrated restaurant in KC
THANK YOU! 🙌
@@meganlynn83 ;)
I would take Q39 first. Then Joes for a sandwich. AB and couple of others good too. JS is fine, but people talk about it like it’s the end all be all of BBQ.
@@KevinMDowney That Z-Man from Joe's is my jam!
WRONG
