    Restricting food is a massive sign of child abuse even if they never put hands on them.

      I agree. I've experienced sub-par care personally, after I had a brain injury, in a hospital, and was mistreated by some of the personal care attendants, bc they didn't think I was able to complain or would be believed, bc I had amnesia and was confused at the time. It was a such a weird glimpse into what ppl who are vulnerable mentally might see in the hospital when they're considered 'not all there.' The idea that Hannah could be caring for ppl who aren't able to even speak out against her is horrible. If you don't have a passion for caring for those who can't care for themselves, don't go into nursing as a profession.

      Making people sit in their own fluids is potentially one of the most evil and dehumanizing things a caregiver of any kind can do. I hope she loses her job and her kid gets sent to a place where they at least change his diaper. Her willingness to share this like she's not a horrible person makes her even worse.

    As a mom of 4, and a registered nurse, I can’t even begin to tell you how much the food stuff pisses me off. That poor baby is hungry watching them constantly eat, and then they had the audacity to flick his little fingers away when he tried to take a damn French fry. I don’t care if my kids woke up during the middle of the night saying they were hungry; if we can get up for a midnight snack then so can they!!!!!!

    • @savedbythebelll

I don’t even have my own kids, but I constantly watch my friends kids and when I tell you I’ve gone without eating bc my dinner looked better than their lunchable, I mean it. (They ate both the lunchable and my dinner) but I’d rather have a full and happy kid than an even SLIGHTLY hungry kid. Parents have only ever been worried bc I “spent too much money” on their food, which is never EVER my concern.

      Exactly my son is 14 and woke me up at 1am last night asking if I could make him pizza bagels. (Yes he is old enough to make them himself but I'd prefer him not to operate the stove or oven if nobody is home with him or awake) But anyway I got up and made him pizza bagels. I know what it's like to try n sleep when your belly is growling at you. If my son is hungry he eats. I couldn't imagine ever denying him food especially if I'm sitting there eating something n he was sitting there with nothing in front of him. That's just neglectful parenting

      He also seems resigned to the fact that he’s not getting any. It looks like he’s used to that treatment. He just sits and watches instead of actively trying to get some of their food. I wonder how he’s been punished in the past for eating “their” food. That’s not normal toddler behavior.

    As a mother to many children the diaper thing is considered neglect/abuse and I'll state why.
    Urine is acidic. When sits on the skin along with the chemicals of the diaper can and most likely will cause a rash, AKA diaper rash.
    Diaper rash is painful for babies and knowingly allows this to happen purposely causing harm is factually abuse.

      Yk it's a different story if you're financially struggling and can't afford the diapers, or ointment. As a single mother, when I was able four or five and I had it, she spared underwear for me to wear (context reason so TMI, but she was a small-) and she got the ointment from a near store til it was gone and I went back to diapers til i was eight, cuz I was maturing very slowly where i still was too lazy to go to the toilet (which I why I got the rash. Not cuz mom wasn't changing me. I was just using on myself and never tell her til she finds out for herself and has to clean me up). I bet you guys this mother will keep him in diapers by the time he turned to a teenager with the excuse of, "boxers r too pricey" 😢

      Urinary tract infections, which can progress to bladder or kidney infections, are quite common in infants and children and it can be very difficult to identify in a baby until it's serious. (It's particularly difficult in infants under 2 months, they often do not even have a fever and any symptoms they do have can just present as normal, fussy baby behavior.)
      You may not even know until damage is already done to the kidneys, particularly if you are a neglectful parent... 😢

She knew exactly what to do/use when I was sick, and she's not even a nurse, or in the medical career of any kind! She also claimed I was a screamer when I was James's age, but she made sure to sacrifice her time of day to baby me til I was satisfied. And when it cam to food, she made sure I had a full meal before she ate, and even if I just had dinner and wanted more, she wasn't annoyed at all when she gave me a tiny portion. But even if she said, "no", she doesn't hit me or yell at me. She just says, "No" calmly unless I get a fuss with her than she sternly sends me to my room or spanks me if I talked back. • @evilernie1369
      @evilernie1369 День назад

      @camilla_films_stuff depending on why the baby is crying, it could be pain, but at that level of brain development, it can be any kind of discomfort. (In this case, soiled diapers are very uncomfortable and can cause a rash. So the brain may dissociate in order to literally stop being able to feeling that.)
      Pretty much, the discomfort is inescapable, and the baby is too young to have actually learned how to self-sooth, so the mind dissociates to escape the discomfort. The brain/nervous system then learns that dissociation is how to deal with Discomfort, and dissociative disorders form from there, and in the future, similar discomforts will trigger dissociation.

    Going off of what my dad told me and let me know about the medical field, being a nurse, and making an inference on that. You document if they refuse to take their medicine, if the medicine requires to be crushed, or if the patent needs them crushed, then you give it to them crushed. You don't crush it if they don't want to take it.

    She is absolutely horrible and this entire video made me sad.
    One thing I want to add, is that my son is 18 months old as well and we have the inside of his doorknob babyproofed so he can't get out of his room at night. He can open doors and unlock them, so if he left his room while we were all sleeping he would be able to get out the front door. He also is very rough with our cats, so if he weren't supervised with them in the living room, they might scratch him. Another reason is that in the case of a fire, we would know exactly where he was and would be able to get to him quickly; kids tend to run and hide when there is a fire, so it's safest to know where he would be. I know a lot of parents who do the same for safety reasons and not to neglect their kids. At such a young age, being able to roam the whole house at night can be unsafe depending on the child.
    That being said, I wouldn't just leave him in his room banging on the door after he woke up in the morning. If I hear him wake up over the baby monitor, I go get him and start our morning routine. If he needed us in the night, we'd go check on him when he called for us. This lady just seems annoyed that her children have needs at all.

    As someone who grew up in the Mormon church (I am no longer a part of it), I'd like to clear up something about paying tithing. In the church, you have to pay 10% of your monthly income to the church to be a "full tithe payer." If you do not, you will not be able to have a temple recommend, meaning that you are banned from the temple. The temple is a special place within the church where you get married and do certain ceremonies. It's a shameful thing to have your temple recommended removed, which is why so many people feel such intense pressure to pay their tithing.
    Another thing is that when you pay your tithing, you will receive blessings from God. If you go to church, you will hear many stories of people who chose to pay their tithing over paying their bills. They feel God will care for the rest if they pay their tithing. When they get some extra money and can pay their bills, they will say that it was because they chose to pay their tithing that they could get the funds they needed to pay their bills. I don't want to excuse her behavior, but paying your tithing is basically mandatory in the church.
    Regardless, she is definitely neglecting her child and should be held accountable. There is a lot of abuse in the church that no one really talks about. Some of my friends parents hit them. Others would have their bedroom door removed if they talked back. One girl I know is still grounded from using her phone even though she is about to turn 20.

      Paying ten percent to the church sounds so medieval, this is literally what Martin Luther protested against way back in the 1500s. And isn't there a Bible passage of Jesus flipping tables and driving the profiteers out of the temple?
      As a European, so many americans just come across as so backwards and duped.

    There's a LOT of people and unfortunatly parents who simply don't understand that children don't have knowledge. And I mean that literally, like they don't know things. "Why would you touch that?" because he literally doesn't know it's hot or can hurt him. He LITERALLY did not know that. People aren't born with the knowledge that hot things can burn them, they have to either be told or experience the burn. And it's CRAZY that people don't understand that. Children are not little adults who understand the consequences of their actions. I think tha's why people compare Hanna to Ruby Franke because she didn't understand this either, she treated her kids as if they were adults who were being delibritly selfish or manipulative but that would imply that those kids are fully capable of understanding their actions beyond/outside of themselves/their wants/needs, but kids of that age are literally not cognitively capable of that.

    Hey! Someone who used to work in a assisted living facility as a server in the kitchen.
    While I wasn’t directly involved with caring for the residents healthcare, I helped them to get their food and other needs. I made so many friendships with the folks there, and although I don’t work there anymore, I have a few friends and a family member who still works there, AND i visit the residents regularly.
    Last year (2022) I worked on Christmas, and it was absolutely HEARTBREAKING to see how many residents went without someone to spend the day with, so I made everyone cards and stayed 3 hours after my shift ended playing cards and celebrating with them.
    One of them (Rest in Peace) nicknamed me “Smiley” because I loved working there, and he said I brought a smile to everyones face there.
    Seeing how she acts in regards to her job absolutely disgusts me, and I sincerely hope that she gets what’s coming to her. She cannot outrun karma.

    I respectfully disagree about the Ruby Franke comment. This videos of hannahs mirror frankes behavior during her 18 passengers days. Franke would do awful, but lawful things to her children. Franke abused her kids within the confines of the law and things escalated when jodie got involved. I think hannah is doing the same thing. She’s abusing her child within the confines of the law right now, but it’s escalating. She’s actually giving sandra vander arc vibes. Shanda was real crazy and restrictive of food. Shanda also didn’t begin her torture of timithy all at once. It started with abhorrent, but legal abuse and got worse bit by bit. Most of the escalation in that case is documented in a series of text messages narrated by zav girl.
    Also, when i say legal abuse. I don’t mean that abuse is legal technically on the books, but since cps and the law choose not to act in most of these cases it might as well be seen as legal.

      I was also recently saying as well if you look at high profile celebrities who eventually become convicted for sexual offences, including against children, they did not necessarily start off as offenders. They started off pushing moral boundaries which were legal but questionable socially. As no one stopped them, they got more emboldened until one day they committed a crime which turned into more crimes.

    My mom’s Mormon and we’re from Utah… on the first sundays of the month we fast for the entire day, and when I was little that was really hard for me. If I said I didn’t want to participate, my mom would guilt trip me and say so many people had to go without food for longer than a few hours and that I was going to be okay. When I was 12 and made excuses to not go to church (I would make myself throw up, I’d go on a walk and come back long after church was over, I’d say I was sick, I’d use cramps as an excuse) after like a month she came to my room crying on a Sunday morning saying she was worried about me and said she was going to send me to a mental hospital or get me a therapist or do something so I could come to my senses and go to the uplifting setting of church. I feel absolutely horrible for Hannah’s kids and although we don’t see much now, it’s only going to get worse as they get older and I can testify from personal experience. I really hope something changes, whether Hannah changes herself and sees she’s wrong (unlikely) or even if it takes a long time, her kids come out and are able to get help.

    • @Miss.Laineyv33
      @Miss.Laineyv33 Месяц назад +4

      Also the 10% Hannah gives is called tithings and it is used to help get food for the homeless and get clothes, so of course there are good things about being Mormon and there are a few communities that are not so toxic, but I personally will not be Mormon when I get out and I think that the force my parents have put me through has thoroughly made me atheist or something alike. Truly, the whole Mormon religion sounds odd because I’m quite sure no other religion has Jesus and Satan as brothers??

      Religion is strange in general if you put a decent amount of study just in mythology. TDLR; Stories from our ancestors just trying to make sense of the world by only their 5 senses and experiences changed and adapted over time into the various religions we see today.
      The thing Religion is good for is bringing people together and to give hope to the hopeless.
      Unfortunately the latter part causes people to hope for better and become complacent with the garbage in their life that they dont have to live through. I.E. trapped in an abusive relationship because divorce is against god.

    • @Miss.Laineyv33
      @Miss.Laineyv33 Месяц назад +2

      @ I think that the thing I’m most skeptical about when it comes to religion is first of all; anybody could be lying. And also illnesses that make people hallucinate, like anything being told from a single source could have been a lie or a hallucination, and there are so many single sources in religions (at least that’s what I’ve found in my research). So it’s just hard to trust something like that for me i guess. Religions always dig so far back into history and I can’t help but think of how wrong that story from the past might’ve been translated.

    I used to stick my hand on the stove burner when I was like... 1 to 2. My mom might not show as many emotions as other parents, but I do remember her being really concerned. She told me that it wasn't a good idea to do that, because I'd get burnt, while she had the water running over my hand. Full on stopped her cooking to do that. And yes, I did learn a lot of stuff like that, by accidentally touching the burner, or even running my hand along the side of the grater (Yeah, I was a dumbass kid), but my parents were always understanding, and immediately helped me by tending to my injuries. And yeah, I've learned a lot from that. Still doesn't mean that my mom wouldn't call that... a hard lesson.
    Also, she had to deal with me cutting my hand open on a piece of glass at about 5 months pregnant, having to get me to the hospital, with a crying toddler who'd split their hand open. Yes I sustained a lot of injuries. But it meant that my mom was always making that if I did get hurt by my own stupidity, I was taken care of. Oh, did I mention my mom was raised Mormon? It's always these people using their religion for an excuse to have kids, and not take care of them.
    Also, can agree that most Mormons are slightly transphobic and queerphobic. This is coming from a non-binary person in a large Mormon family. They might be nice and all, but they sometimes don't recognize it. Most of them are calling me by my preferred pronouns, once I explained it, but they can just drop it into conversations. It's kinda just how they were taught. But they can learn!

    Treating your own child like a nuisance is disgusting. It’s like she sees him as something to deal with rather than someone to take care of.
    Just for parents/guardians in general, yes, kids can be loud or impulsive or exhausting at times, but that’s because they’re a child! And being annoyed or tired with it, while it can definitely be understandable, should never excuse neglectful, ignorant, or even abusive actions you, as a grown adult, make. If you think it’s a good thought to validate your actions by pointing blame to a child who probably doesn’t know better (depending on how young they may be) is nothing but pathetic. Even if you’re bothered and may not be able to hide disappointment or annoyance, it should never be consistent enough or go far enough for that child to feel unloved or uncared for. No kid should be treated like an inconvenience.
    Plus, there’s a difference between tough love and laziness and lack of care.

Just remember that asking for help with anything or letting others know if you’re uncomfortable is never and should never be a problem, and I know it can be hard to just simply switch to that mindset and that’s okay.
