    Tip when you get a new monitor use keep the little loose foamish plastic bag that it comes in and put it somewhere so when you don’t use your PC for a amount of time just slip it over and then you will have like 90% less dust on your monitor even before you clean it

    Good thing is that your using a dell monitor, i have a Dell P2214H and a Dell 1905FP and i was concerned since i dont wanna break both of my monitors for just wiping with water and stuff, now im gonna try this when i have time and yeah, thanks for the video :D

    Do i leave the water to dry or do i just wipe it with my dry side of the microfiber cloth right away?? Cuz it isnt clear if i have to wait for it to dry or not

    I find that I had to go left-right or up-down a few times over some sticky white spots to get them off. Maybe because I was using those thin microfiber cloths that come in your spectacle case. It also didn't seem to absorb the distilled water. Are there two types of microfiber cloths?

    Definitally helped but it still is pretty dirty from opening soda/pop cans at my desk, just kinda smeered so i had to go over it a couple of times.

    is isopropanol not recommended for cleaning or can that be used too ?

      Try to avoid using alcohols like isopropyl on screens, especially on the newer screens of today, which tend to be more fragile to those substances than older or mobile devices with glass or plastic screens. You can still get away with using it, but you run the risk of killing pixels.

      @@BeardedFire Small quantities of water on a microfiber cloth, much like you see on the video, or chemicals specially made to clean screens (although be cautious about the listings if you choose the latter route; don't get anything sketchy for obvious reasons). If whatever you're trying to clean is really, really, tough to get out, I'd go with that latter option.

      you can only use isopropyl on cellphones and Macs that have that kind of glass monitor
      for PC monitors you don't want alcohol or chemicals

      Yes you do, because regular water has minerals that can create scratches on the screen

      yes he is right if we directly drag the cloth across it might make minor scratches to monitor not probably on monitor but it did on my tv

    remember the good old days when you can just use polish on the screens and it wouldn't ruin the screen and be shiny..... tech seems to be getting better but is getting weak and easily breakable.

    thing is. some subtances eat into the plastic layer of the display very easylie and never come off again. you wont get rid of that mark no matter what you do, when the surface is damaged. ketchup, orange juice, fat

    Best thing to clean a monitor with is one of those glasses cleaning cloths with a little distilled water on it. just dab some distilled water on the edge of the cloth and go in a circular motion, no need to go left to right.

      The problem is you could have a loose particle that will cause micro-scratches. By going in circular motion, you make them much more noticable.

    I THINK THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY
    U SHOULD NEVER SPRAY DIRECT SPECIALLY IF YOUR MONITOR IS NEW
    PROBLEM U CAN AND U WILL FACE
    WATER MAY GET INSIDE AND U WILL SE SOME SPOTS AT SIDE LIKE DUST AND THAT CAN BE CURED ONLY After OPENING THE MONITOR SO NEVER SPRAY DIRECTLY
    AS HE SAID MICROFIBER CLOTH USE THAT CLOTH SPRAY ON THAT CLOTH AND CLEAN
    AND ALSO DONT USE ANY ALCOHOL BASED CLEANING PRODUCTS
