I'm having a deja vu feeling:))) Then I realized that it wasn't really so long ago when you were doing this on your home, racing showers. One gets accustomed to a better life so fast:))) God's been with you throughout your build, giving you good ideas and enabling you to to it yourself (He did take a little break with the ladder episode, LOL). I truly enjoy watching this stuff, especially when helping parents, that's a special blessing:))
I like the house wrap dispenser you made! The detail on the windows is a good idea! I was always told to not tape the bottom of an overlapping sheet of wrap so that water can escape. Instead tape the top of the lower sheet to the sheeting to prevent water from getting behind it. Think of it as shingles on a roof and how water flows.
Scared me for a second! I thought you use Lowes wrap on your house.😂😂😂 look up some tests when they take Lowe’s and Home Depot wraps and sprayed it with some water. It goes right through. (Like on Matt Rasinger channel) So for a shop I would still go Tyvek or just without completely.
Hey man what is your take on the quality of Lowe’s house wrap I’m having the front of my home redone with OSB and I need some good house wrap that’s affordable?
The Lowes basic stuff is junk. The Lowes stamped Tyvek is great stuff. My inspector was telling how the basic stuff rots and falls apart a few years later. He was praising me that I spent the extra for the Tyvek brand on my house.
Just finding out about this myself. Digging into it, website has been updated. Apparently routers will work with most carriers and Sims are purchased directly through them. I'm not happy about the surprise notice.
Interesting video! Seeing how you are showing different ways to us the house wrap!
That's good stuff as always!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!! 😎😎😎
Hi Andrew, love the jig you made up for the house wrap, ingenious. You explain things very well. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Thank you

Tyvek is superior and that's what I used on my home. With that said, an open vented barn with good siding ehhh. The lowes stuff will be fine.
You really need to stop calling house wrap a vapor barrier. Clearly, you understand the difference as your explanation was spot on.
It's just a common mistake, like calling a water heater a HOT water heater.

@@TKCL Ditto
how do youbknow were to but vapor sheeting
In the south code requires it on the outside. I believe up north it's on the inside due to the cold temps and the way the homes are heated.

Lol I see we are as far apart as possible in this country, for sure a difference accent down here. Take care!
You may as well get your contractors license, i bet you pass the test pretty easy.
Naaa, not for me.
Tyvek is not a vapor barrier.
