I’m pretty sure Noah isn’t doing vocals because they wanted to send a message that the band is more than just Noah. They got tired of people ignoring the rest of the bad and going rabid for him. That’s what I think at least

I didn't listen to Bad Omens before this song, but I do now. Poppy's been pretending to be AI for the entire evil Titanic Sinclair portion of her career (including in at least the first graphic novel), and then she kind of just stopped for a while, so it's cool that B.O. (cool acronym) is pulling her back into the role to tap her vast experience being a robot to warn people about the bad omens they all have about the technological self-extinction dxth spiral singularity humanity has recently locked itself into.

Yes, I feel like this is a live action version of Genesis 1, in the best way. Poppy and her collaborator Garrett did an amazing job on the video. Reminds me also of Time Is Up.

@@jessiehoolahoopsmcgee Hell yes! It's like the darker, higher-budget sequel to Time Is Up. Everything sounds more epic and more high-tech when you make it METAL. Cybermetal, even better. What does this Garrett guy do?
Is Genesis 1 the one where she's a robot in a facility asking if she's a real girl?
I actually have multiple of her graphic novels, but I still need to open them up and at least finish the first one.
Bro, I was seriously afraid to admit that, in case she read that and was disappointed I haven't even read them, despite being secretly one of her favorite superfans (I'm psychic).
Is this how religious people feel? Maybe JBP was right that we believe in something whether we intend to or not.
(This entire comment is social commentary satire on the absurd logical conclusions of crazy internet culture.)

4:18 DUDE I get it now. Noah is the human and Poppy is the A.I. The A.I. has replaced the human, and all this outrage I keep seeing in over half the reaction videos with "WHERE TF IS NOAH?!" is intentional. Damn that's subtle AF. That feeling of outrage, loss, missing out, and wanting to correct something that's already a done deal is EXACTLY the emotion they (probably Noah, mainly) intended to produce in everyone. The headbaning grooviness is secondary and instrumental to the primary core directive of the song. We figured it out!!1

@@jenniferfowler682 I dunno. Most of the hate from Bad Omens' audience is coming from other women thirsting over Noah. Among metal bands, Bad Omens is nowhere near the most homogeneously manly, testosterone-dripping band out there, and they have some of the highest amount of clean RnB-type vocals that is appealing to women, and the reason why Bad Omens stands out so much in the metal scene is precisely because of their appeal to females and the much larger female share of their audience compared to most bands.
You see this kind of fan jealousy among teenage girls much more extremely in KPop for example (among the domestic audience mainly), and to a lesser extent I guess also some guys who like certain girl groups, and that's part of the reason why KPop stars aren't allowed to date.
Generally, if you find a female metal artist who's popular and you analyze the fan base by gender, it's still overwhelmingly male. Sophie Burrell (shred guitarist) for example says her audience is 92-93% male in her thirsty DM video.
Music where people play instruments and especially harder genres like metal are overwhelmingly supported by mainly male fans.
If you go find the most extreme bands, there is almost no attempt to appeal to females whatsoever, and those genres and bands are going to attract the most androcentric audiences.
But if you look at bands like Deftones, Sleep Token, Spiritbox, etc., they're almost sort of gynocentric in a way, making music with a lot more emotional depth and complexity to it, and even though females like those bands more, their audience is still overwhelmingly male, except they're males who are in to that greater degree of more female-oriented emotional depth and color in the music, and Bad Omens mostly falls into this category, even though they have some pure metal songs like Artificial Sxxxxde and Dethrone.
I'm almost certain Poppy's fans are at least over 50% male, and people like me will have psychotic borderline parasocial quasi-religious obsessions with her and want to be her human txxlxt on tour and things like that, but on average, we're not going to go troll every single male she works with out of sheer jealously. You can see this same disparity in the KPop example.
All that said, Bad Omens is still a mainly male fan base I believe, and some people just don't like the robotic vocal style on this track or understand the appeal of it from a metal aesthetics perspective, the kind of people who would prefer to hear stuff like Artificial Sxxxxde or Dethrone, as opposed to the poppier stuff with more clean vocals.
Also, this doesn't have anything to do with Poppy but just one point you made, but modern feminism isn't really big on the whole procreation thing, except as a talking point. If you go further back, Simone DeBeauvoir and a lot of the earlier figures weren't big fans of procreation either.
So it's kind of weird to extol female procreation in order to justify an ideology that isn't even in favor of females procreating, because they view procreation as inherently oppressive and a form of enslavement to males and patriarchy. Generally, women who actually have children tend to end up much more conservative once their children are born (especially if some of them are male), and these women tend to be much more pro-male on a deeper level before they have the children, which is what led them to tolerate a man enough to have children with them in the first place.
If anything, loyalty to your family, tribe, etc. transcends petty squabbles between genders, and when people introduce conflict between the genders, it's generally an attempt to undermine and destroy from within the tribe whose genders are in suddenly in some kind of ideological battle with each other and then as a result stop procreating, while all the other tribes around them continue procreating and existing in the future and replace them.
I don't think Poppy hates men as a gender in the slightest; I think she actually loves men as a whole, although she probably hates certain particular men with a deep burning passion, considering she's in the music industry, which is one of the single most abusive, sexist, exploitative, corrupt industries in the West, especially with the more mainstream corporate stuff on the radio that she Disagrees with.

@@jenniferfowler682 In any case, the song is clearly about the existential threat AI poses, so I highly doubt the concern is only directed towards one gender; seems like kind of a stretch. Generally the existence of the human race as a whole is not a primary concern of feminism in general, when in fact it celebrates entire ethnicities dying out completely if the women suddenly decide the men are all mean or losers, even if those cultures have above-average or even the best treatment towards women, meaning only the societies who literally enslave women will be the only cultures left in the world.

I think u totally nailed it and u are so smart too, are u sure u are not Poppy herself using a fake account ( jk) because u are the only one so far I saw saying that & I feel that only the band and Poppy knew about this intention and everybody else are the social experiment, so glad I read your comment, I was already thinking was so irónic the reaction people were having considering the powerful message of the song that most people seem to miss and is the most important part of the song, I was getting frustrated to see how most missed the point and jumped on a Poppy hate train but your comments makes so much sense, hope more people can connect the dots, but months have already happened since your comment & it seems them wont
