    Beautiful table, Jeff. It will become an heirloom for sure. I have that same planer and I know how much dust and shavings it creates lol.

    The table looks fantastic and such a timely video for me as I am about to make a trestle table for my daughter's new home. Thank you for making these plans available.

    I think too, with the right species of wood, this will make a nice outdoor table. Add the drip edge underneath!

    You get a lot of use out of a power planer. I've never thought about how useful they might be!

    I am going to build this for an outdoor table out of teak or cedar. It is really elegant.
    How did you attach the top to the base?

      I just used figure 8’s but you could do it a number of ways

    I tried downloading the plans. It requires way too much personal info and when I tried to enter it, it kept resetting and wiping out what I'd entered. The hell with it. It looks like something I'd want to build, but it's just not worth the effort of fighting with an effed-up website and its excessive demands for personal info.

      Well, they’re free so I’m sorry the experience doesn’t live up to your expectations. They’re being “sold” for $0 right now the same way they will be sold once the free week is up.

    Come on man! Where's the the hand plane bro? I know, you're a panel processor now. Technically speaking when the whole project is sold wood is that " panel processing " ?

    • @TodaysCraftsmen
      @TodaysCraftsmen  Месяц назад +2

      No hand planes were fondled during the making of this video. I think once I glued up the top it was considered a panel. I forgot how much I hate sanding.

      @@TodaysCraftsmen Ahaaa you don't remember what your missing. I had to put on hearing protection to watch that F- ing cordless planer struggle through that Cherry in your video. I wanted to plug it into 220 or 221 , whatever it takes. Extra points if you get the film reference. Oh by the way you're kitchen table is nice. Can't wait till your son does his homework at it and you can read it year's later in the soft wood.

      Yeah it was definitely having a hard time at the end. Those blades are also a few years old. I actually have a cherry table now that we does all kind of stuff at including cutting clay, etc and it’s held up really well. Plus I just don’t want an oak table.

      @@TodaysCraftsmen Who said anything about an Oak table.Your a panel processor now. You should have plenty of Melimine laying around.😀

      The banquette is melamine 🤫
