My Jeep has been leaking all day as I have been DIYing to get new transmission fluid, filter, and pan. I've been trying to figure out why it's leaking all day. I had a gasket issue with the sealant, but I'm still working on it because one of my bolts is stripped. I worked all day on my Jeep Liberty on Labor Day, and now I have to take the next day off to fix it and put my pan back on. I hope this will do the trick.
So a m8 x 1.25 you use a 21/64 drill bit, but doesn't a 3/8 x 20 tap work better cause it's closer to the 8mm. 10 mm uses a bigger drill bit not 21/64.

Got to the end of a job to find a stripped bolt. Great info here, saved me a ton of time!
Thanks for the comment, stripped pan bolts can be super frustrating to deal with!

Correct, I just used what I had laying around, because this was a gambler 500 vehicle.
Had some 8mm bolts stripped out and I used 5/16th tap. Seems to work better then 8mm
You said you were going to start off with the easy one and then you never did the hard one lol
Haha you are right
@@gagefixeseverythingany tips for the hard ones
Don't do it on Ford with the transmission pan on because you'll ruin the reusable gasket
Good point, but you could buy a new gasket.
