- Using only one skein of Caron One Pound yarn, you can crochet up this One Skein Baby Blanket that is using the Crochet Criss Cross Stitch.
This is a simple 2 row repeat baby blanket that has criss crosses with single crochet rows that separate them from each other.
An easy blanket as a whole. The tutorial will also tell you how to change the size and gives an alternative method to begin this blanket so it may make it even easier for you.

At the 3:25 minute mark, I said to put in a SC at the last stitch. It's a Double Crochet and a double crochet is demonstrated. My mouth screwed up. I'm sorry.

No worries!
Thanks for the heads up.
Yeah, I was coming in the comment section to ask for clarification on that 😁. Thanks for clearing that up 👌

OMG! As a new crocheter, this was the first blanket stitch I ever tried! And then I lost the video. Almost 6 months later, I've found it tonight! It stuck with me after only watching it ONCE. It's been my favorite all this time.🥺
Thank you!!
I was so happy to find this pattern for a baby blanket. It is easy to follow and fun to do. When I finished my project and looked closely, I realized the pattern was all X & O's, for hugs and kisses. Thank you for your very professional instructions. My friend will love her baby gift. Loved it!
I sure appreciate these tutorials. Working the second part of the stitch from the back looks a lot easier than the way I've been doing it. Thanks for the how-to

Uggghh, I’ve started this blanket three times! I really want to make this pattern, but I don’t know why I can’t figure this out. Some how I keep decreasing. Do you have any suggestions?
@@judicraig are you putting the double crochet in the last stich on the cross row if you miss that stitch it will cause a decrease
Noemi Torres-Johnston thanks for the reply! Well I thought I was. I think I was having trouble with where to put the last stitch. I’ve started over again and have about 10 perfect rows now. Think I might finish this time. 😁
Thanks!
No worries. We knew.
In case you missed the free pattern link in the video description. Here it is. thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-one-skein-baby-blanket-tutorial/

You are so welcome!
Hi This is so awesome!! I am making this for my boss, so it’s going to be a version of this wonderful pattern/demonstration. My first row I did as half double crochet, to me it gives it more of what I am looking for, for an adult. Thank you so much for doing this, you explain so well and I will actually be able to finish!!😊
A few things... 1.) Thank you again for your time and knowledge. Sharing as freely as you do makes a real difference to people around the world. It's much appreciated. 2.) Your changes are helpful for those who attempt to follow traditional rules like CH3 counts, etc. 3.) I admit I watch so I can direct people to tutorials I trust and you always deliver! Keeping me from having to make one lol. 4.) I don't know how you and Spinrite decide on patterns, and I know you pick well written patterns. However, this one while easy enough I wouldn't use if not for your tutorial. It doesn't state that the multiple is odds, no chart and the CH2 really should have been a CH3 to begin with. I'm saying this here so the people at Spinrite consider making info like that standard. Quality over quantity. Last I hope you & yours have a great New Year and that 2019 is the best year yet! ~ Sarah Woobie Hooker
Thank you from Oklahoma :)
Thank you so much. I made this for a friend's baby. I used green/pink/blue for some of the sc rows and the border. Turned out so cute. Lovely pattern.

I’ve just finished this blanket and I want to thank you as I can’t follow a pattern, but it can follow a tutorial - especially one done this well. It’s a lovely blanket and I hope the intended recipient likes it as much as I do!

Love this stitch . I’m not new to crochet but love this for baby blankets I make to donate. I keep adding at the end and wind up frogging down to where I went wrong! I’m frustrated. I even tried counting my cross crosses ( 45) . Please what am I doing wrong?
