- Traditional irish jig played on a tin whistle and a low tin whistle in the winter forest. I really hope you like it, because I'm not very good at playing traditional irish music (well, maybe you'll think otherwise).
Instruments: Tin Whistle Nightingale D & Low Whistle Nightingale D by A.Karavaev
Microphone: AKG P220
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7
Dear Tine, I congratulate you, because Morrison's jig played with the low whistle at that speed is not easy. Brava! Greetings from Italy.👍👏👏
Thank you so much! :)
That echo 😍
very talented flute playing anyone who can play a jig like this has skills
Karavaev makes the best looking and sounding whistles, can't wait to one day own one
Yeah, I absolutely agree. This year I tried several different whistles and flutes and now I am completely sure that whistles by A.Karavaev are the best
Just wow it calms me I am really shocked to know there is only 328 likes for this beautiful music
Thank you very much! :)

I'm glad that I've discovered your channel. Your work is absolutely stunning. How long have you been playing the whistle? Did you have any tutor? I've just completed a month of playing the whistle and trying to teach my self using all the knowledge available on the internet. Your channel helps me train my ears besides enjoying your beatiful music skills. Keep it up!
Thank you very much!! A few days ago, it's been a year since I started playing tin whistle. I'm a self-taught whistler. When I started, I tried to teach myself by watching video tutorials, using tabs, and even reading books about playing tin whistle, but soon I just gave it all up because it didn't work. Then I just found some whistlers whose playing style I really like, and I started picking up notes by ear and learning how good whistlers make their magic (ornaments, articulation and everything about beauty of flute music). And now I'm very happy to hear that my channel is helpful for you! This inspire me very much :)
@@TineSylkie Your progress is then unbelievable for playing the whistle for only one year. That gives me hope and ambition also that maybe I can make it like you did.
I love it!
I have just started playing whistle and hope someday to be 1/10 as good
I’m obsessed with this it’s so good
Sounds nice 🍀
Love this really beautiful sound, your excellent, Dublin fan
Thanks so much!
Definitely subscribing 😁...
from an irish guy... keep going the great work
thank you very much! ;)
@@TineSylkie your welcome
You are great at it and I will aspire to playing that fast... I am alot older than you are so I cannot play quite that fast yet..
Wow! I love it! ❤ I've been playing classical flute, now I'm planning to learn to play whistles. 😊
Great! You won a subscriber. Greetings from Brazil!
Wow, cool! Thanks :)
Amazing channel! You are a very good Flageolet player. I love the nature scenes. Great editing
Thank you so much :))
Very nice playing! And this one is on the list of tunes to learn! :)
That was beautiful, simple yet stunning.
Thank you! :) I once found that I usually add too much ornamentation to Irish tunes I play. And now I'm still trying to find the perfect balance between skillful technique and the beauty of simple sound.
I love your whistle I love how thick it is looks tough I like that part and you're playing is wonderful 😊❤️...
Thank you so much! :)
Nicely played and fine sounding whistles. Now, go make some coco.
Amazing…
Thanks :)
Beautiful
Thanks ;)
Nicely done, both whistles are sounding great but I'm biased towards the low D haha
:D To be honest, I also love the sound of low whistle more than high tin whistle) And now I plan to record a lot of irish tunes played on low D.
Wow very nice! Your playing is great, and the echo/forest shots make this wonderfully atmospheric 😊👍
Thanks a lot, I'm really glad to hear that my editing is atmospheric :)
Not very good? That was fantastic! I found myself tapping my foot without even intending to.
Thank you very much!! I'm really glad to hear it :)
Amazing performance. Bravo, Sir.
Amazing!
Thanks :)
Magnificent playing! Beautiful! I’m gonna be filming some Irish forest camping and wandering when I’m home in July for a film project. Would love some music like this for it.
Go for it - the artist is responsive, and as a viewer, it's enjoyable to watch the channel grow.
Thanks! So, you want me to record some Irish tunes for your project? If I understand you correctly, then contact me please: tine.sylkie@gmail.com
Whistle sound really good and forest is perfect, thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot :)
Bravissimo!
Beautiful!
thanks :)
Just beautiful. I love this song and you brought such an ethereal quality to it. Bravo!
Thank you so much! :)
Absolutely fine music and wonderful interpretation, thank you!
Thank you so much! :)
Very nice. Just getting into tin whistles, and this is amazing and inspiring!
Amazing performance!!!!❤
Well played! I would also like to hear the raw version. Non enhanced. (Because I'm trying to play in a forest (easier songs) from time to time, and it doesn't sound so ... pure and clean :)
Thanks! The raw version is lost :( I record all the parts at home.
Magical ❤
Blessed my soul 😍 well done
Thanks a lot :)
This is magical!!!
Thank you very much! :)
Wow!
How nice!!!
Thanks :)
@@TineSylkie my pleasure) Are you from Ireland?
@@psychedelicwriter5051 no, from Russia)
@@TineSylkie ух ты, я тоже! И как же получилось, что ты играешь на whistle?)
@@TineSylkie да ещё так здорово)
Wow.
How many fingers do you have left? 🌬❄☃️
:D
Wow, Beautiful!! Do your fingers get cold? what kind of whistles did you play? Your talented
Thank you so much!! My fingers felt ok that day, it was only -5°С, and after a very cold week (-35°C every day) it felt like summer had come :D But a few days ago I was recording new video and it was -15°C and my fingers were absolutely frozen in half an hour of recording (and I was completely frozen too, but I realy need to make new video :D)
@@TineSylkie I used to live in a very cold part of Wyoming, as well I lived in Minnesota, 2 of the coldest places in the US, but I never tried playing music there. I do know your body adapts well... still the fingers, burr.i will keep watching your beautiful music. I chatted with the maker of your whistle and hope to buy one of his low D whistles someday . Are you in Russia also? I miss the winters. Where I live in WA state it is a different cold, humid and rainy it rarely snows .
@@TheMtnmamma Low whistles by A. Karavaev are the most wonderful at the most fair price, I really love his whistles. Yeah, I'm from Russia. And I can't imagine winter without snow and frost :D
I am saving to buy one of his whistles, I cannot decide which key to buy it is, he has so many beautiful ones. But I don’t want to have to learn the fingerings on anything besides a D . I know you own a low C also, any others? I love to hear you play , and I love the scenery
@@TheMtnmamma I own C and D whistles only. I absolutely do not recommend you buy a low C whistle as your first low whistle, because C whistle is a monster) It is very long and requires very good finger stretching. I, with my small hands, couldn't play the lowest note on a low C whistle for two months. And also low C is more sensitive to breathing, the lowest notes will be hard to blow clearly for first few weeks. I think the low D whistle is a perfect choice. Although I absolutely love reach bass timbre of the C whistle, I play it very rarely because my hands, especially right one, feel like after hours of yoga after a few minutes of playing.
That low whistle sounds beautiful! Where did you get it?
This low whistle (and high tin whistle too) is made by russian master Alexander Karavaev. You can contact him here facebook.com/whistles.workshop/
Oh I just read where you got the whistle in another comment.
How long did it take you to learn it
Hi there ! Where can I find the music sheet ?
Jaki ten pierwszy to model ?
What’s the second one called? The big one
low whistle
2nd time here
Why does everyone add reverb to their tin whistle videos on RUclips? If i didn’t own a whistle for myself I wouldn’t know what the authentic sound is. Please just let the whistle sound for itself 👮♀️
