The soda dispenser thing seems to lack some way to get air back into the bottle. It ends up creating lower pressure inside the bottle as it empties, making it harder and harder for the liquid to escape. It might be solved by making a hole in the bottom of the bottle (after you've turned it up-side-down of course) but that would make it unusable as a normal bottle should you not finish it...
Maybe if it had a straw that reaches from the head down into the bottom of the bottle then you could have a little vent cap to allow air as you are using it.
The directions on the box and inside say to poke a hole in the bottle to let air back in.. they didn't read the directions so that's a user error problem not product problem. Love their videos but grown professional adults not think hey no air let poke hole upsets me lol

It's a very specific kind of gadget that suits particular needs. I can see this as extremely necessary for someone with shaking hands or young children or the disabled but the model they purchased could use some tweaks.

I think soft drinks are not it's intended use. If you look it flows pretty fast at first and then slows down and almost stops , looking at the glass I would estimate it slows down after about 30 ml. 30 ml is the standard for a single shot of a alcoholic drink like rum.

Upside down like that, the liquid and the dispenser form a pretty effective seal; trapping all that air in the bottle and as more liquid comes out the air pressure inside the bottle drops and more and more the atmospheric pressure works against gravity. A smaller bottle means this effect kicks in even sooner. It would probably work fine if you cut a hole in the top of the bottle.

It might work if you cut the ends off the melon first, to stabilize it and so the blade doesn’t have to go through the rind at the center…but if you’re already cutting it with a knife you may as well carry on
they actually work pretty well, if you use the right type of melon. rock melon is a bad one, it's rind is to hard, but a honeydew or water melon would be fine. also, just like with apples, you're not suppose to just smash it down like a hammer, you're suppose to rock it.

Aww, they are literally the cutest! When Ann tried to use the melon cutter on the cake, it reminded me of my time working in a cafe. We had a pie cutter that was essentially the same thing, except entirely made of metal (and even that did break at one point). What we used on cakes was different - it was a plastic scorer, essentially just to give you lines to follow when you cut so all the slices would be even, but the cakes were far too dense to use something like the pie cutter. I assume the same thing that happened to Ann would have happened if we tried. Also, as a linguist, I love the cookie/biscuit/scone discussion!
Definitely! My chinese isn't great as English is my first language, but what Dave spoke was definitely something along the lines of egg roll or biscuit in Chinese. Love you Ann and Dave! You're both hilarious to watch and super talented!
I have one of those melon cutters and they are amazing. I have the even larger version for water melons. To make it work you need to slice off the skin on the top and bottom first. Which also makes it stable on your chopping board instead of melons rolling away. :)
I'm very lucky and honored to have a similarly wonderful marriage. My husband and I are both big teenagers, though our drivers licenses say we're in our late 50's. Amazing. I still wonder what to be when I grow up. May silly rule your life.

I think Plätzchen is just an umbrella term for all cookies around christmas. Maybe also just cookies that are shaped with cookie cutters(?) Sugar cookies in germany are Butterkekse. On #3, I have a re-sealer, and I really like it! You need to put the protector over the heating element thing, which is tall enough to make sure it doesn't turn on if something is laid on top of it. And it also keeps you from getting your finger on the element, LOL!

It might work if you cut the ends off the melon first, to stabilize it and so the blade doesn’t have to go through the rind at the center…but if you’re already cutting it with a knife you may as well carry on
they actually work pretty well, if you use the right type of melon. rock melon is a bad one, it's rind is to hard, but a honeydew or water melon would be fine. also, just like with apples, you're not suppose to just smash it down like a hammer, you're suppose to rock it.

When Ann tried to use the melon cutter on the cake, it reminded me of my time working in a cafe. We had a pie cutter that was essentially the same thing, except entirely made of metal (and even that did break at one point). What we used on cakes was different - it was a plastic scorer, essentially just to give you lines to follow when you cut so all the slices would be even, but the cakes were far too dense to use something like the pie cutter. I assume the same thing that happened to Ann would have happened if we tried.

I have one of those melon cutters and they are amazing. I have the even larger version for water melons. To make it work you need to slice off the skin on the top and bottom first. Which also makes it stable on your chopping board instead of melons rolling away. :)
