The Link example for Hold Shot was a good idea. It didn't look like the movement mattered but then when you tried other options it quickly became evident how much movement was actually taking place. Not to mention you get a "auto spike". That's important.
This pointed out some things I didn't notice I could do with slingshots that I otherwise couldn't do without, this was cool to see why this is actually pretty good and could make a huge difference in combos and movement!
As a viewer/someone wanting to learn, if possible could you show the differences between yoshi's movement and other characters to help show the significance of slingshotting cause you know its good on yoshi, but you can't see how good it is compared to other characters to show that difference in usage. (I have no idea if anything I just typed makes sense to anyone)
I really hope this brings back slingshot. It seemed so game breaking, and then... Nothing. Not that I could tell, just a few clips, but most everyone kinda forgot about it after a few weeks. I wanna see some jank movement in ultimate. Might even save us from steve players and their non-existent talent
As a Yoshi player you perfectly described his forward air spike hitbox it is indeed a tipper. Not easy to land I sometimes struggle to get the spike hitbox because it is not big like Mario's forward air for example however unlike Mario's forward air Yoshi's sour spot f-air hits quite hard knocks you out at reasonable percents while Mario's the sour spot isn't strong as Yoshi's he must rely on the spike hitbox while Yoshi you'll either get the sour spot or spike both are very strong Mario's only the spike is stronger than the sour.
Was still waiting for someone to really break this mechanic. Feels like i dont see much after the first vid from gimr's vid

Like show a side by side of yoshi slingshotting and then someone with less air speed or something like that to show how much stronger it is on yoshi
@@FunionRing hop in the lab man! U got an itch to learn this so hop on a couple characters that are fast and slow and see how they feel
Def will consider this for future tech showcases

I'm hoping one day people break the game to the point where there's going to be a new "wavedash" of Ultimate.

Would holdshot fair be a better method for fair 2-frames than just jumping?
Its really good at hitting ledge hangs with fair spike, but I don’t really 2 frame with fair much so not sure
Now AmSa can finally win a major
If he was out winning melee AND ult majors hed be too powerful
