You are correct...The temples of North and Central India were destroyed by Mughals whenever they would capture...Thats why you will see a lot of Ancient temples in South India and less in North and Central India..also you would see in many old forts the faces of sculptures destroyed

Ajanta Ellora caves always fascinated me right from my childhood when I learned about it in my Social Science textbook. It's my wish to pay a visit to this wonder of the world. This should be among the 7 Wonders of world instead of Taj Mahal. Look at the sheer work and intricate detailing that has gone into it This site should be maintained well for the posterity too. Maybe limited visitors can be allowed each day. Too many visitors on a single day stamping on the ancient site can damage it. The pyramids of Egypt also has restrictions to climb on top of it. More study neeeds to be done on the technology used to built such a monolithic site.

The planning involved in a project like this is staggering. You wouldn't be able to just have drones working in shifts; each worker would almost have to know the entire plan to keep from messing up something for the next guy. Food for thought: maybe it is some kind of "geopolymer"; like they excavated the space it occupies, ground up the removed granite, and somehow melted it or reconstituted it into a concrete that was poured into forms. Mind you I don't think that; not for this anyway. Stuff in Peru and Bolivia? More likely.

Amazing and an excellent video, thank you so much for sharing this with all of us, Stew! It brought to my mind the people who lived 700-900 years, back in early Genesis, over 5,000 years ago...they could have gained great knowledge over that amount of lifetime. I also see two "landing pads" at 36:00 - maybe for flying saucer technology? Maybe all this detail was a form of energy that an aircraft that landed on top could gain to refuel? Just wondering...this is incredible stonework! I know it's said to have been built 1300 years ago, but what if it was not originally built to be a temple, but a castle, palace, or energy station?

it's possible the outer layer was covered in painted stucco sculptures which was very common in temples from the time. But a lot of it don't survive since it's very fragile. Relatively modern (~1500s) temple structures like the one in Madurai have its stucco really well preserved.

  • @abhisheksathe123
    @abhisheksathe123 11 месяцев назад +7

It is said that the original temple had a different color that just this darkish rock. There have been attempts to destroy this temple by islamic invaders and it was also set on fire on some occasions in order to destroy it, maybe the thing where you talked about chemical being poured or sprayed is related to that, many parts of this temple have been defaced and destroyed to certain extent. Another thing is this temple has been carved from the top to bottom instead of going from bottom to top or by using cut-in method which adds even more complexity to the whole structure. Imagine the sheer level of planning, drafting plans, engineering, carving skills to carve such temple that too with all highly intricate carvings, multiple levels, multiple rooms, with water drainage, sewerage system etc. Some formations legit look they have been cut through some high powered laser or something.
Any blockwork is not from original temple and has been added at much later date mostly in recent times in order make the sight easily accessible for visitors. Maybe they did have some technology that is now lost to time. The name Kailasa means Mount Kailash which is abode of Lord Shiva. There are many carvings on the temple that depict Mahabharata war, Ramayana, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiv and other Hindu gods and goddesses.
The carving at 21:52 is the carving of Lord Narasimha who is 4th avatar of Lord Vishnu,(nar-man, simha-lion) this avatar was incarnated as part-lion, part-man who had Head and hands of a Lion and body of a man. Here the carving depicts Lord Narsimha slaying asura king Hiranyakashap by tearing apart his stomach with his claws. There are many such carvings through this temple that depict different avatars of Lord Vishnu.
The carving at 22:12 is depicting Lord Vishnu, the cord shown from his navel has a lotus on top which depicts the creation of all existence and the universe. On that lotus is Lord Brahma who is the God of Creation and part of holy trinity of Hinduism which is Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh(Shiva). Lord Vishnu there is laying down on a 5 headed serpent who is called Sheshnaag, it symbolizes eternity/infinity.
The original temple in all its glory must have been a sight to behold.

The temple was first built by the buddhist monks at the time of mauryas
Later with the onset of religious reformations, new belief systems were endorsed by the rulers and more sculptures got carved on to the rock. This process happened throughout the centuries
That's why the temple exhibits the beliefs of buddhism, jainism, shaivism and vaishnavism
But historians falsely interpreted the date of construction, indicating that it was built by rashtrakuta dynasty.

Remnant of a huge melted down structure, worked on by later day artisans.😮
Geopolymers may have been the order of the day.😊
Advanced technology is the product of an advanced mind.
What if an advanced mind can visualise dimensions differently.
They must have a technique of making carvings very fast and easy. And being able to fuse stone.

My supposition, Kailasha temple/ellora caves was accidently built by lost wax casting method. Flowing molten lava from erupted volcano poured into Laksha mould (created due to burial of temple made of wood and laksha into sand). The peoples of the town buried the kailasha temple (made from wood and laksha) with sand to save it from destruction caused by lava which created laksha mould. Molten lava evaporates laksha and taking place of laksha mould and cooling of lava when volcano silenced forms a monolithic kailasha temple once sand is removed. Lakshagriha(house made from wood coated with lacca) is mentioned in Mahabharat.

Those small tunnels going underground are all blocked, but it is evident that there is more to this place than meets the eye, especially on subsurface level. They are actively hiding the traces of dwarves and elves, and saying muslims have destroyed it, which is not true.

We no more have people carrying this tradition of temple building from generation. In some parts of the country the community who used to build temples in ancients still exist with surname but they lost all their ancestral knowledge.
