Most charities don't really do anything. A bunch of people make six figures and some other people go to fancy dinners and parties and they give each other awards for how awesome they are. None of the money actually provides any benefit to the people they claim to help. But they're "raising awareness," so it counts as a charity. Even for charities that do do something, it's usually more about helping in the moment instead of long-term solutions and oftentimes only a small percentage of donated money goes to that help.
What I never understand is these are trained cooks, I think. Why are they struggling so much? I'm not a chef but I have made spaghetti for 10+ people and it isn't that difficult.
