I think converting elephants is too powerful. Not that converting elephants shouldnt be a counter, but it shouldnt be the case that the opponent receives control of such a powerful unit just like that. So how about this: when a war elephant is converted, instead of changing colors, it turns into a (more powerful) gaia elephant, which is enemy to everyone and attacks whomever is closest to it. This kind of pays homage to history, where elephants, though a powerful asset in any army, could also be turned around by loud sounds etc., such as what happened to Hannibal at the Battle of Zama.
It would mean elephants can still be countered but it wouldn't be such a dramatic power switch.

Viper, you could have cut the wood and built untouchable markets in the very bottom/right. You didn't need to this game, evidently, but missed opportunity for safe trade incase teal died
I think appearance of units should reflect its armor stats. All units without shields need to come with 1 pierce armor in base and the ones with shield with at least 2 pierce armor. It would mean some nerfs like obuch, tk would be nerf to 1 pierce armor. I don’t see anything wrong about it because these two are the most tanky infantry unit. However units like condotieri, Urumi swordsman and woad raiders would benefit. 🙌🏻

Persians should not get Heresy and here is why:
Monkplay is extremely APM-intensive which at lower skill level is hard to pull off. Even you said that when you are going monks you are forced to use all control group keys plus even mapping funtion keys. For the average casual this is basically impossible to pull off. Giving them Heresy would weaken one of the three good counters and actually the only counter available to every Civ in the game. That would only leave halbs and Scorps as an effective counter and not every Civ gets Halbs or Heavy Scorpions making the War Elephant a very low skill death ball unit which cant even be stopped by lucky Onagershots or Bombard Hits. I am sorry to say this but the game shouldnt be balanced solely to cater to the top players. That would be a bad business decission because most of the money for MS comes from making the game enjoyable to as many players as possible to sell more copies and not marketing towards the top1% of players who already have a copy.
Alternative Option:
The Imperial Age Unique Technology Mahouts increases in price from 300F 300G to 400F 700G but on top of making Elphants 30% faster it adds the effect that upon being converted Elephant Type Units(Battle Elephant, Elephat Archer, Siege Elephant, Ballista Elephant) of both you and your allies get their current HP halved. The speed increase does not affect allies though. This would still allow great synergy as a researchable teambonus for other elephant civs. This would not completely discredit Monks as a worthwhile counter to Elephants but also not cripple a Persian player upon having a couple of conversions popping off.
Example:
Lets say you have a 340/620HP Elite War Elephant that gets converted. Upon Conversion the converted Elelphant loses half of the HP and the Monkplayers is left in control of a 170/620HP Elephant.
