- Bob's Machine - Running shallow with Action series Jack Plate & Nose cone! Thanks to Micro Draft Boats for the filming, excellent driving and making a great boat!
You can’t run on plane in 2 inches of water.
Bob: Hold my beer.
Wow ! Now I know why they say it's so important to have a water pressure gauge !
Daaang! I almost regret seeing this
Nice shot really clear.
Can you run this high with only low water pickup and not nose cone?
Nice footage!
Any higher and its an air boat lol nice!!
How shallow can this run? I am trying to determine if a jack plate with a lower water pickup or a jet outboard would be better for running the river. Mostly sandy bottom
depends on draft of the boat, which lower unit and the skeg length. Give us a call and happy to discuss options
@@BobsMachine I certainly will! I am looking at buying a Ranger RB 200 and your jack plate lower water pickup combo looks great for that. I am hoping to run some shallow sandy Wi rivers in the boat but unfortunately the ranger does not have a tunnel. Your setup looks like it might be the ticket! Thanks for the reply and will get in touch
Wow how you not getting cavitation 😂 which prop you got?
I forget which prop is on this boat, but it is a power tech brand prop :)
Power tech sww4
How is the engine picking up water?
This boat has a Bob's Combo-Cone installed there are 5 pickups under the front of the nose cone and four above. You can actually see water shooting out the top holes under pressure. Bob's nosecones work awesome for us at Micro Draft Boats.
@@lifeaccordingtobri Probably a dumb question, but how does the water get from the pickup in the nose cone up to the impeller? Thanks!
MUST BE A LOT OF CUP IN THE PROP!!!!!!
Where is the pick ups on this lower unit?? How is it getting water? I don’t see the screens. It looks like only the skeg is in the water.
It has low water pickups actually sucks water from under the front of the nose cone
I have a 2021 tracker pro170 and need a 6" hydraulic jack plate and a low water pick up for mercury 50hp 4 stroke
Perfect, we have both at bobsmachine.com thanks!
How is the prop not blowing out?
lots of cup!
Believe me it’s slipping he can’t run full throttle it will over rev.
Power tech sww4 all we need to say Plus it's a micro draft boat with a tunnel feeding that prop When the motor is jacked up The skag is just below the hull
Wow!!!
Wow
Impeller say hi to the thermostat
The water pickup is at the bottom of the nose cone instead of being above it. You can even see the stream. It stays consistent..... I certainly wouldn't run with the prop halfway out of the water all the time though.
Are you getting cooled!
yes
Nice😀
Wow, what step is the screw?
Any idea what prop was being used?
I know its a power tec, but not sure of which model or pitch.
Thank Micro Draft is running the SWW 13P 4-blade ported prop from PowerTech Prop. Insane grip.
Uh, how’s your water pump doing anything tho?
There is a low water pickup Bob's Machine nose cone, so the water inlets are still pickup up water and sending to the water pump.
Why are you torturing the motor. Bob?
Easy colonna
Question........ If the foot is so high.... How the motor cooling!?.... If anyone has brain.. Then answer that.
its a low water pickup nose cone kit.... You must be new to the boating scene (from somebody with a brain)
OVERHEAT ALEEEEERT 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 water starving the engine NOOO BUENO
It's called a low water pickup. The engine is getting sufficient cooling 😎
@@kirkmartin2223 not the ideal, need to be really careful with this.
@@2fast4you25 , It's been proven dude or Bob's wouldn't sell it . These people are no joke they build the best .
@@jimmiller4951 the product proven yes, but how people use it and burn an engine no. I woul not ride my engine this high out the water. Its a very thin line from getting good water and burning impeler and frying the engine.
@@2fast4you25 < first thing is I am not arguing with you this is a conversation. Have you looked at the cone Bob's offers ?. Second you do not leave the jack up for a long time and you do monitor your engine heat of course I could be wrong however it appears to be comparable to a jet drive. Perhaps someone from Bob's Machine Shop will pipe in and clear this up.
Yeah, I don't get it, so I was more interested in watching that outboard take a shit. So I am leaving unsatisfied.
