Saw Angel at the Tower Theatre in 1979. I think Piper opened for them. When the Angel came out talking I thought I’d gone into a different dimension. The best of that glam rock band genre. Domino’s soaring vocals, punky Meadows monster riffs, Greg Giuffriea in the keyboards. I was about 25 rows back. Great show!
Ohhhhh WOWOOW its been decades ago since I've heard thier music and can't believe this is the very song that's stayed with me all these years Fortune ! That melony I do believe helped me with my own productions. You know how some songs or even a piece of the song can just like cement itself in your soul, and this song did that for me, so hats 👒 off to you guys for helping me become a successful musician 😊 !
As a 13 yr old playing drums KISS ALIVE is what got me going. Before that it was my parents records James Brown, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Diamond.. I really into the Osmond Brothers yep! Donnie Osmond .. I recently watched some of there 70’s videos live at fairs and variety shows.. they fucking rocked ! Don’t laugh if you are check out Crazy Horses.. sound kinda Deep Purple . Guess who else these guys ! So I was probably 16 when live without a net came out and Barry Brandts drumming has always stuck with me he could tear it up! Traditional grip .. his drum solo on that record .. blew me away like Peter criss on 100,000 years.. or Bonham on Moby Dick.. yeah that fucking good . Music it comes full circle. Check out a video for Van Halen / The Temptations!!!
When I was about 14 I had never heard of these guy's but they had both their first album and Hell of a band on Columbia record club and they sent me both albums when I didn't even chose them and I ended up liking em so I kept em. I found out about Raven almost the same way. We were talking about these guys so I looked em up and I'm happy to see they are back playing again.
Was a big fan when they came out. I was in the audience when they the movie Foxes and got meet the bassist and Punky Meadows you could see me for like a second in the movie
Although I liked Angel more, and even stayed mum for several yrs to my punkrock accomplices re the many times I saw Styx & Angel back in the day, that was actually a great tour. I attended the Pittsburgh, PA gig, et al. Yes indeedy, the boys had some big hair, they did!
I think Punky was playing in DC with the Cherry People and Daddy Warbucks prior to Angel. Perhaps they met up there. Pretty sure they're in L.A. now. Someone pls update if I'm mistaken.
That old folks home was rock'n that evening..then it was bedtime..😆😆😆
Amazing!!!! Vocals are a gift!!!!!! Finally, ANGEL getting attention!!!!!
Yeah finally….😅
They are far better live than on record. Meadows is a great guitar player.

They seem like they are mostly known on the East coast.
PUNKY MEADOWS RULES
Punky Meadows, the ONLY musician asked by KISS to join their band, who turned them down!
was supposed to see them at the 3/8/23 show but it was canceled.
They sure do sound good, but I remember seeing them back in the earlier days. Not quite the same experience visually. LOL
Are any of these players the original members ?
@@chilledmonkeebrains singer and lead guitarist
@@lordofthe80s64 his voice held up really well. I loved these guys back in the 70s
Frank Domino & Punky Meadows!
Guffria was on the keyboard? 🎹
Whete did they originate? Where are they now??

ANGEL puts KISS to shame. Time for Justice.
Amen
Damn ! They sound pretty good for some old guys. Who the hell is on keys ? That can't be Gregg.
Absolutely Not Greg Gufria, most of His Keyboards would BLAST out the Sounds.. here, just blah..
Do you guys really need that extra guitar player? Way to many people on stage. 😊
Oh, and the bass players getting shut out of everything…..🫣
I was thinking the same thing. A bit cramped up there.
Ace Frehley has loaded up on the pasta
WTF DUDE .... YOULE GET THERE SOMEDAY @@@@
Lol
Great to see Punky and Frank (still sings great) but > > > that ain't Angel.
What's with the geriatrics up the front? Doesn't anybody rock out at shows anymore??
I do my best.
