Most Haunted Restaurant in Toronto - The Massey Mansion

- This old mansion was built in 1867 one of Toronto's oldest heritage buildings. Once home to the Massey family. One of the most influential families in Toronto. The family who had it's name on the Massey hall.
The son of Chester Daniel Massey was a famous actor who lived in this mansion. His name was Raymond Massey. Known mostly for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln who he played on many occasions. The mansion was later the home of one on Toronto's first radio stations which it remained for years until it later became the steakhouse it is to this day.

One night, years ago, my friend was a bartender (on the 2nd floor)…I was waiting for him to close up so we could go bar hopping. He put all the chairs up on the tables for the cleaners, and began walking downstairs. We suddenly heard a loud bang, rang back up, and all the chairs were back on the floor! We’re talking about 100 chairs, and we were the only 2 in the building (my friend was also the manager). I assumed the cleaning crew had arrived, but they were just pulling into the driveway! We ran out of there so fast I left my jacket inside, too freaked to go get it (it was January!). My friend wasn’t scared, telling me this type of thing happened all the time, went in to get my jacket, to find it laying on the registration table by the front door….I left it on the 2nd floor! I refuse to go back, despite their food that I love, I’d rather starve them face who ever is haunting that place!
Wonderful story! I’ve never been one it was close to empty so I’ve never seen anything too crazy.

Hi there and hope all is well and what a great watch. I gotta say I'm very familiar with the Massey Hall but had no idea about the mansion so this was a really great watch and definitely an interesting place for sure. I've eaten at many places in Europe through Estonia, etc that definitely do fit the bill for what you're asking for but I gotta say the weirdest feeling one was a night I missed my train and ended up in a small town in Austria as this place kinda freaked me out, to be honest LOL. Bad pizza, good beer in the company of 4 local people who I think spend every second of their life drunk in a space that could seat about 300 with almost no lighting turned on. LOL. Great watch my fellow canuck

I went to the keg mansion October 2021 the place was beautiful but I remember getting a weird vibe especially on the main staircase and when I was eating I could feel the ground vibrating as I heard the sound of quick footsteps on the stairs maybe it was the boy oh and the bathroom toilets flush weird 😨 but good restaurant highly recommended

We have been there didnt realize it was haunted! Naz and I love Buzz feed unsolved and are kinda closet ghostphiles. Would be so cool if u picked something up on your camera!

The women’s bathroom is known to be haunted and the sit in windowsill in the us especially creepy
This is just a regular Keg restaurant right? I always get gift cards to this place so I'll give this location a go although I don't like how dimly lit these restaurants are, at least this one's haunted eh? lol
