Thanks Jeremy for this video. The Artista 730 was my first embroidery machine, and it was the one that got me hooked. This is one machine that I wished I hadn't traded in. Glad you still have yours.....

I'm so glad you've talked about that glass eye foot. I had no idea. I am new to Bernina.
I should mention also that this machine is so old it's pre RUclips. this is pretty much the only video on this machine

Very nice and informative video explaining the functions of the Artist's 730 in a very simple way. I'm still amazed by the many features it has and can see this machine giving me many years of service.

Thank you so much for making this video for your friend, and for sharing it on your channel. I just bought this machine for an absolute bargain, and it would have been so much harder to learn to drive it without your video. I’m not sure I would have even bought it without finding such a helpful tutorial video to guide me.
I’m so excited to sew with this machine, and I’ve saved your video so I can come back if I get lost or confused. Thank you so much.

Jeremy, thank you so much for having done this. I've had my beloved Bernina 730e for about five years now, and haven't begun to scratch the surface of what it can do. I didn't know what most of the buttons were for, so thank you for taking the time to explain them! Your friend is lucky to have you, and we get to benefit from her friends' knowledge of this marvelous machine. I'm heartened to see that there are people that celebrate this older model Bernina. It is a true gem. If I may ask a question? I am trying to do a bit of embroidery using a motif purchased online. Using a RUclips tutorial, I've been able to (with a little help from my daughter) load the stitch pattern onto my Bernina USB stick and subsequently into the machine. I've even been able to stitch out a sample of one of the motifs. My problem is that I can't figure out how to make the machine stitch out the motifs (letters) in sequence. Would you know how I go about setting up the machine to do that? Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Jeremy, thank you so much for this video. I, too, am embarrassed that I have had this machine for several years and had no idea what all the buttons were used for until watching this video. I have done heirloom sewing for years and recently machine embroidery designs. It does beautiful embroidery - as good or better than my new Bernina machine. I am passing this machine down to my daughter, so would LOVE it if you did some more videos on this machine.

Thank you. I got this machine in 2020 and have never used it. Now, it's a lot less intimidating. Great video.

I bought mine this year and I agree, not many videos. I am so glad I found yours. I have learned a lot. I go through my book, but sometimes I learn better when shown. I hope you did do other videos on the designs because you describe very well and easy to follow. Thank you

This machine is made in Switzerland unlike my new 590 which is made in Thailand for a MUCH higher price. This machine does directional sewing which my 590 does not. I am SO glad I did NOT trade in this machine! Thank you for this video.

Thank you so much for this video! I just got the Artista 200 with upgrade a few months ago. I had no idea it did so much! Reading the manual is so confusing at some points. I was hoping to use some of the decorative stitches to topstitch a quilt but the sideways motion foot causes the fabric to pleat even with pinning. I tried free motion but definitely need a lot more practice lol! Thanks again!

Thank you Jeremy for an excellent tutorial. I love my machine and I know I have only scratched the surface of what it is capable of but your tutorial helped me so much! I’m a quilter and lately when I’m quilting or even adding binding using a walking foot I’m getting huge, uneven stitches. Would you have any idea what the cause of this could be? I thought I’d ask an expert before taking it into the shop.

Love this video. It’s been very helpful! Are you going to be creating any more Bernina 730 videos regarding other functions of the machine?

This video is a goldmine! Jeremy thank you so very much for the walk around of the features of this machine. I was gifted this machine but without a manual and I am floundering to figure out some things. Can someone tell me how to remove the strike plate to clean under it? No video instruction that I have found so far! Help!

My machine won’t let me get into my decor stitches beyond #15. What am I doing wrong? You called it the stitch category screen that’s not what’s coming up for me

I’m thinking about buying this machine. Has your automatic thread cutter given you any issues on your machine. I have a Pfaff creative 2144 and my automatic thread cutter doesn’t work right.

I just bought the 590 CE which is over $8K. The auto threader broke after only two weeks. The auto threader is the only thing better about the Viking Epic. Nonetheless, I would use an old fashioned needle threader instead as the mechanism is very fragile-- the spring pops out easily and is a big pain to replace and not worth a trip or the expense to go to the dealer.

    this machine is not intuitive.
all I want to do is type a phrase.
    I cannot delete a stitch.
    there is no home button.
it does every single thing except for simple things.
