Like healing of a wound or thickening callous, this team is going to come back a tougher version of itself. They just want that next opponent. I think both teams are looking to make a statement on Wednesday, more than before.
Great to hear from Syd and Teagan! Yes, there have been a lot of changes. Really shows how Caitlin was able to impact other players performance. Between that and Sydney’s surgery, it’s taking time to learn how she fits in offensively on the court. Rebounding has been fantastic! I think this team will be very improved by the end of the season and already playing mostly good basketball. The sky is the limit! Let’s go HAWKS 💛🖤
Tough loss, just have to flush it and get back to work. I'm sure the team is hearing it from Coach Jensen, but I'll say it anyway: we need our upperclassmen to play like they've been to two national championship games. NO ONE else has that pedigree over the past 2 seasons. Go Hawks!!!
Lucy needs to take 20 or more shots. Stop passing the ball so much. Please take charge. You guys are pretty awesome players and can be a high scoring team every game.
Sydney needs to erase last year playing w CC and start playing her game. She needs to step up, drive to the basket and take her 15 or more shots a game period. She lacks some confidence. Sydney needs to be scoring 15 or more ppg.
Veterans from last years team need to step up and play like veterans. This ‘sorority sister’ mindset is preventing the vets from leading the charge. Olsen needs to provide the leadership. She”s too timid, seemingly more comfortable passing shot opportunities to others rather than taking those shots herself. She was third highest scorer last year in D1…where did that baller go??

They should do a press simulation once a week to get better at it and better at countering it.
