“I’m coming to see you Elisbeth” Only us older generation gets that pund. 😅
Yup
If your heart had exploded I see 3 possible options for Leo. He would stay by your body until help arrived, he would take off & lead search & rescue to your body, or he would continue on the trail & summit Mt. Katahdin. My money's on the last one.
He would guard me
"And the views, they keep on comin"! Stunningly beautiful. I can only imagine the emotional restoration that happens when sitting on top of those mountains, taking in the views. What a day! Your stamina and drive are amazing. Wish we could know what Leo is thinking as he is hiking along with you. Hard to believe you will be under 200 miles tomorrow. Take care.
He is thinking why is dad so slow
So very beautiful… try not to push yourself so hard. Savor these memories you’re making.… Leo is living the life that my dog wishes he could!!! and probably 90% of everyone’s dog!! ❤❤❤❤❤
We are enjoying it
You are one tenacious fellow. Thanks for carrying us along!
Oh thank you!
Awesome views
Yes they were
I don't know if you'll be able to take care of this before you summit however I just want to offer some unsolicited advice. Dogs like Leo can develop cataracts if the hair covers there eyes. If you have a sec, possibly you could trim that. . .just sayin' keep up the great work. . .you are almost there!
I trim them
Happy meeting you today Michael- you really are inspirational in your drive to accomplish this- thank you!
Thank you so much!
Wow!!! What a beautiful day for that climb!! Those views were so incredible!! I hope you were able to rest well after that!!! Loved your quote from George Sanford🤣🤣🥰🥰
Thanks
Stunning views, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
One brave soul I couldn’t get in that lake. Great views today and next day will get you under 200!!
No way I would have gotten in that pond!!! 😂
So close!
I love the varied landscape, one minute you’re on wind swept bald rock, the next in a pasture and the next in a Grimms Brothers dark dank primal forest with not even a blaze to mark the trail. No wonder you have such an appreciation of the vista and views. Good luck keep your balance, stay safe.
Thanks
Spectacular views!! Love seeing the miles left going down every day! 🙌
Thanks
Amazing views!!!! And yay for your mojo!!! Happy your heart didn’t burst! You guys are incredible! Holy crap- beautiful mountains! Thank you always for sharing your journey and it sure does seem Leo loves the views too!
He does
I just respect your resolve to finish and your push to do hard things! Way to go Mike and Leo.
Thanks
Such amazing views--even the trail with the evergreens offers some beautiful green scenes! What a beautiful day for hiking--with the exception of those pesky gnats! Thanks for taking us along on your journey. Climbing those 4000 footers and still making 20 miles today gives you extra credit. At the end of your next video we should see you under 200 miles to go. Leo seems to be doing so well. I bet he sleeps well at night too!
He does
Great views - nice to see Leo taking in the vistas. "Little do ye know your own blessedness; for to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour."(Robert Louis Stevenson). Be well, stay safe. 🥾
@@jeannenimmo5 love that!!!
Thanks
Watching since day 1 from Appleton WI, enjoying every day! Thanks for "keeping it real" you show the guts and glory and i like that, nothings hidden.
Hoping to see another Leo day video soon. Or maybe a video that shows what you do after the good night hand slap. Hike on!
Awesome! Thank you!
MOJOs back on the Saddlebacks and more, so awesome beautiful views, just a stunning day to be up there. Thanks for sharing. It was an awesome job. Also, if you have a buff [preferably 3, use the on your thighs. A hiker last year had the same issue and did this with success. Constantly washing in the creeks and ponds help, but try wrapping with the buffs. Step into them and pull them up and over the affected area. The other leg will help with a smoother rub if it's covered too. Get some body Glide once in camp. Hope that helps, feel for you.
All good now thanks
Congratulations on finishing the Saddlebacks , whether you do 15 or 20 miles , those are the steps closer to the “SIGN “ .. amazing day for you and Leo …keep pushing those miles…Hike on!
Thanks
Beautiful views…. It almost looks like it’s not real… maybe someday I will check it out myself 💕💕💕
You should!
When I climbed Saddleback, I found it to be the Energizer Bunny of summits. The false summits? They just kept on coming...
It was beautiful
Pushing hard long miles, feeling bad for Leo. So what you did 20 miles...slow down and enjoy the trail you seem stressed
This is how I hike and I enjoy big miles
Does Leo ever get tired on the long mileage hikes. My dog will maybe only go 5 on a good day. Do you have your put anything on his paws to protect is foot pads?
He has energy for days, we have had no paw issues
Hahaha. I was going to say, even Leo enjoys the views.
He does
I knoq hikers bury their poop, what do you do with Leo's poop? Just leave it as long as it's not on the trail?
I just want to ask you, what is that rock jam you use in your videos? I really like it and think it fits well with the "move along the trail."
It's called Angels Wild
@@ISuckatHiking I can't find it anywhere, who is the artist?
I just looked up and it says dogs are not allowed to summit Katadin. Will Leo as a service dog be allowed?
No, very strict rules in Baxter.
I’d take the slack pack offer and secretly carry Leo to the top. The hell with their rules. The first time I camped in BSP they handed us a list of things that were prohibited. It was a very long list. I subsequently camped there many more times in the 35 years I lived in Maine and I think that I broke just about every one of them.
Yes he will
Drop the dramatics, put the camera away and enjoy the hike. I quit following you day to day when your videos became more important. Thankfully BSP won’t let you drag leo up that rock climb.
What makes you think he isn’t enjoying the hike. It is less than 30 minutes of video in a 14 hour day. Dont watch if you don’t like “drama “
This is how I hike, sorry you don't enjoy it and Leo will make that climb
