Competition Katas.. awesome, very aesthetic but far from real kata, and thats the problem, today most of the dojos they only show this kind of katas (competition moves) instead of the original, so its normal that the senseis today just doing kihon bunkai all the time instead of studying the real bunkais behind every technique. hugs from Spain (3rd Dan Shito and Goju Ryu here)
