I have a Deeper Pro+ which has been really useful, but drives me mad due to erratic connectivity. I use an i-phone XR with the latest IOS version. I have followed all the tips including mobile data off and holding the phone well off the ground. When using at 50+ metres range, even though I reel in very slowly It is not uncommon to have to stop several times a cast to wait for it to reconnect or to even have to reboot the app. Talking to other anglers, it appears I am not alone in these frustrations. I would be interested in upgrading to the Chirp+ 2 but only if it has much more reliable connectivity. Can I realistically expect it to be any better? Thanks!
@Buy Deeper Many thanks for the advice. I have checked through the guidance and was already following most of the recommendations. However I noticed I was using an old Deeper app and have now switched to the Fish Deeper app, latest version, so am hoping that this works better. I have tried it once, in good conditions and it only lost connection once. The connection loss did seem random rather than attributable to choppy water (it was flat calm), excessive range (it was under 50m away) or to me reeling in too quickly ( I was steady and super slow). It reconnected itself after about 10 seconds. As an first test, I would say things are very considerably better, but I have always had good days and bad days so I'll need to see how it goes. They say it has a 100 metre range which is wrong my friend and i have 1 each and they only do about 50 metres so rubbish on most lakes
