Geetsly's *BORING CONVERSATION ANYWAY*
A possible scenerio… as Padme fires on Dooku's ship when he's leaving Geonosis (after he "disarmed" Anakin and beat Obi-Wan) she hits something vital.
Then when Dooku is coming in to dock at the hangar that Palpatine is waiting at the retro's fail to fire, and with no breaking thrusters his ship crashes at speed and _kills them both._
The narrative would be that Dooku kamikazed Palpatine, and Palpatine would die a martyr… mourned by the Republic, the Jedi, and even by Padme - who would blame herself for not shooting down Dooku when she had the chance and saving the good Senator Palpatine.
Except... would it be possible to see that she ACTUALLY did
I love this.
Such an event would cause the Republic to fall, Because then the CIS would be the puppets of no one, no one would be there to stop them from decimating the republic.
@@proxy1359 true BUT Palps was pulling strings on and hampering the Republic too. Keeping them doing things they shouldn't have done either. So that they stood NO chance of winning any sooner then intended. Which I guess woulda been almost as bad as them losing too fast
Also, remember this quote from Mace Windu: "If I had struck down Count Dooku on Geonosis when I had the chance -- if I had let Jango Fett slay me as I slew Dooku -- this war might have ended that day."
If a scenario where Dooku kamikazed into Palps unknowingly and killed them both, then the war would've ended that very month, if not a little later. It took time for the Clone Wars to get into momentum and Dooku's death would mean that the CIS would start to break apart, as it slowly did in ROTS. Without Dooku, the Separatist Council argued among themselves (and Grievous, who is still an unknown player at this moment).
Palpatine's death could lead to the Jedi investigating the Sith, while the Senate votes in a new leader. Without the Sith, I fully believe that the Republic and CIS would've come to terms in peace by the year's end to avoid any more bloodshed.
I get the feeling the war would have ended fairly soon. Not because of Separatist overall victory, but because we know that there were peace talks, and it seemed they were serious and could have brought a fairly peaceful resolution. If not for the interference of Dooku/The Sith (sending droids to sabotage Coruscant), the war very well may have been resolved and the Separatists could have gone on their way without further conflict.
yep
If there was no sith involved, there would have been no Grievous, and the CIS would have probably been a lot more... moral. And I can see such a war happening without sith if the Republic was too corrupt.
@@Marvelous_Gaming150 he probably would. In fact, it was mostly due to his money, that cis had army to begin with

The Confederacy would’ve overrun the Galactic Republic’s in the Second Year of the Clone War. Keep in mind that the Confederacy out numbered the Clones one thousand to one, and no matter how good the Clones were trained they were still too small to content against the Driod Army. The Confederacy has several advantages against the Republic early in the war, and no matter how many Jedi or Clones were sent to battles there still wouldn’t have enough to defend the Republic space, but the truth was that the Sith played both sides to its advantage in their revenge against the Jedi and Republic.
You forget where the real war was fought and it was fought in space between fleets and not between armies
They also could have and probably should have used normal troops and/or battle droids.
@@nobleman9393 well the CIS still out numbered them in terms of fleets having four times as more then the republic
I think the Republic would have started drafting civilians once things started to go badly as a way to make the base of their army while using clones as shocktroopers.
The Republic is far too big for the CIS to overwhelm. They could field more troops initially but it wouldn't be long before the Republic starts raising up armies of trillions and the industrial output of a million systems in the form of warships.
If Dooku betrayed Palpatine when he got his separatist army I can see palpatine going 'empire' even faster by recruiting volunteers and hiring soldiers. Also he would have unleashed Tarkin to commence a terror campaign against Separatist Civilian worlds
How should Tarking do that? The republic can barely defend its core worlds against a full empowered CIS military, counter attacks on separatist core worlds would have been out of the question. Don't forget that the republic was almost completely demilitarized before the clone wars. Thats one reason why Palpatine staged this conflict in the first place - he wanted the Republic to be militarized in the first place and he knew this would take several years. But in this situation, the republic simply has no resources and no time to build up properly, even with additional volunteer forces.
@@LegioXXI While your right on the civilian front, as core world civilians wouldn’t even think about voulenteering, they definitely had the manpower and economic might to do so. Kuat drive yards during the clone wars was pumping out most of what the republic navy used while still filling their regular orders for space traders and PDFs.
Possibly, but a big part of Palpatine’s
Plan was to take control of the banking sector, which -had Dooku done that first (which he probably could have, since all the corporate entities were very much on the Separatist side) would have greatly hampered the Republic from building an army from scratch, and that would have probably meant they would have nationalized planetary defense forces, which would have made those systems angry and would have spurned a different set of circumstances for the GAR.
@@LegioXXI it would be a do little class raid. A single venator 3 alcamatlrs and a few picket ships.
if the war wasnt rigged from the start there probably wouldnt have been one to begin with.
the CIS would have been allowed to secede, no one would have attempted to kill padme, and no one would have been held captive at the arena on geonosis.
That's a good point. The whole plot of Attack of the Clones was Palpatine trying to spark a conflict, and Padme trying to stop it.
From where the separatists were standing it must have seen like a 9 karat run of bad luck. But the truth is the game was rigged from the start.
what makes you think the seperatists would have been allowed to secede? when has a political entity ever said 'yeah, it's fine, we don't want those taxes anyway'?
@@r31n0ut I'll tell you this much, last time a bunch of states tried to secede from a Union, it was because they didn't want to liberate their slaves, so the north had to do it for them.
I think in this scenario I think you need to assume that Dooku and Palpatine had a falling out and became enemies after the battle of Geonosis.
Which means Dooku would go all out trying to actually kill Palpatine and end the failing Republic to replace it with something better.
*You missed two more important nerfs* that Siddious did.
CIS special projects and superdroids, and leaking Intel about some suprise attacks.
The CIS had some vastly superior Droids to the B1, that never got put into widespread production due to Dooku's control. And the B1 didn't get software upgrades that could have made it smarter.
In fact Commando Droids were used as a fine tuning method to maintain the stalemate. GAR get too far ahead, increase Commando Droid production, CIS winning, cut it back.
And then there were the prototypes that kept getting destroyed (along with the faculties and plans) because the Jedi were tipped off about them.
A couple of them were war winners just by themselves…
And the second nerf was there were a few times where CIS knockout blows were sabotaged by Siddious, most obviously being attacks on Kamino.
That would have been it if they had succeeded, and then there was also the attack on the listening outpost on Rishi station, that would have also allowed the CIS to take out Kamino.
Cortosis B2
Ah yes, the negotiator
But it’s the same with the GAR really, palps also stopped a lot of new tech from being pressed into service. Like in legends where Anakin and Thrawn find the factory of clone armour that deactivated lightsabers and stopped all blaster fire, thus making the clone near impervious to CIS small arms.
You never fail me on these clone wars vids man keep it coming🤧
Always will! Thanks for enjoying the content
I’m more curious on what would happen after. Would the confederacy completely replace the republic with a more decentralized galaxy, would the core worlds have been subjugated and and seen as play things, would dookus corporatist ideas of incorporating the companies into the CIS government have been better at realing them in instead as opposed to back firing and giving them too much power? Would this create a better uh.. geopolitical stability for the galaxy as a whole? Would grevious allow these tycoons to keep there power now that he controlled most of the military? Would dooku have been a good peacetime leader? Or would the CIS seek a continues trade with the republic now thats its independent, similar to the US with Britain? Would each planet been given more autonomy or would the CIS just take away more rights because of its militarist corporate nature? Would dooku be the one to enforce a more permanent structure? Or was the separatist council just seen as a tool for him to win the war? Would dooku give up his emergency powers after the war? And if so who would become the new Chief of State? Would it be Mina Bonteri or someone more sinister?
Would this abomination of a state, half ruled by scrupulous, greedy, profit-driven corporate entities, half by psychopathic warlord generals lording over a gigantic military with zero checks on it's power be a decent galactic government? Imagine the worst aspects of the Republic (don't forget that one of the biggest flaws of the Republic was the strong influence of corporate entities on politics), but 10 times as bad. The CIS stood for absolutely nothing beyond "we aren't the Republic", but that didn't actually mean they'd be any better. Without the Republic the CIS would fall apart, the military might seize power, see a civil war, a republican insurgency, who knows what else.
They forgot to use me on a regular basis. That being said, the Republic also forgot regularly, but they had Kenobi to remind them.

How would grevous have gotten to coroscant without palpatines routes through the core?
They should've jumped to Mustafar the second Palpatine was inside a shuttle
Spies? If a could clone could defect, then anyone can.
Palpatine leaking the safe route(s) through the deep core was so that Grievous could employ a *surprise* assault on Coruscant. In this scenario, even if they didn't have any way of getting those routes or a similar "in" in order to catch the Republic off-guard, the CIS would likely have had far more resources to throw at the planet and they would have been more willing to do so without regard to the collateral damage since they wouldn't be compromised by Palpatine's and Dooku's machinations.
Kashyyyk has several hidden hyperspace routes, which is part of why the CIS sieged the planet.
I think the super tactical droids would of been implemented sooner since there would be more experienced CIS military leaders alive probably being a major pain in the ass in the long run
Sev’rance Tann and Merai are such underrated characters in my opinion, one was one of few honorable Separatist leaders and the other was an excellent strategist at the start of the Clone Wars.
There were multiple technologies/weapons created by the CIS during the war that would have led to an easy, quick and complete win for the CIS.... unfortunately Palpatine made sure the republic found out about them and destroyed them before they could be built or used
It’s so nice to have a Star Wars youtuber who doesn’t constantly dump on the cis
this is what happens when one sides gains a monopoly on plot armor..... we need to break up these monopolies and seize the memes of production
Would love a vidéo breakdown on ”unknown” CIS officers... I never heard of this Lady Chiss before...
Remember that Sheevie was also handicapping the clone army by spreading them out so far that they couldn't possibly have outnumbered even a small droid contingent.
In the clone wars you see many senators wishing for peace as the war goes on. I think if the CIS when all out it would of been a 6 month to a 2 year war depending on how things when. If it was a quick war showing of the CIS might I think that the separatist would of tried to peacefully live beside the republic. If it was a drawm out war the separatist would make post ww1 Germany look like a utopia
Great video, but I have a question: are Dooku and Palpatine still there and still Sith but with no control of the confederacy, or are they gone completely? Because if Palpatine was still a Sith, I doubt Greivous could get anywhere near to capturing him during the Battle of Courisaunt.
lol fah real palpatine would've slaughtered grevious
The only way the way the Republic could stand a chance: Use a droid military as well
I love the clones and they’re probably my favorite fictional characters but there simply wasn’t enough of them to win a galactic war
The republic in this case would more than likely turned to conscription rather than rely just on the clones, which i bet would have drastically improved their odds here
Not necessarily. Can you imagine the PR disaster? The Confederacy would have capitalized on that immediately. “Your world can either stay with the republic and lose its young men fighting the clone war, or join the confederacy and not get conscripted because we have a droid army.”
That would have pushed even more worlds to join the CIS.

Geetsly your clone is very impressive you must be very proud
The CIS was a group of freedom fighters and mindless bots
Let’s just face it, without sith interference, there wouldn’t have been a kamino to produce the clones a day into open war.
I think you are forgetting that it was the Sith that clouded the Jedi's vision of the droid manufacturing in the first place. Without that time, how could they have avoided early annihilation?
what i found odd what how no one on either side really put the pieces together about he war being staged.
Just wondering here, if the Republic would have had a draft to enlist citizens and create a mix of normal Republic soldiers in conjunction with the clones, would they had had a chance or were the numbers too much to overcome?
“sithy” lmao
Good video Geetsly's. Keep it up
We need to see more of the 327th Star corps
Yes my favorite legion, they need a plethora of lore very soon. I love them
Command and control at higher levels would have been one hell of a problem. And you'd need more than tactical genius to maintain supply of these CIS forces as they stretched into the Deep Core. That would have been interesting as hell to read about.
Thing is CIS supply lines are much easier to maintain than the Republic, CIS fleet takes a planet all they need is one ship with enough droids to replete the lost. The republic have to think about a lot more than such as food, arms, and fuel. CIS would likely leave little behind when scorching a planet before moving on where The Republic would always leave behind troops in defence.
The idea of an unshackled CIS is awesome
*Hears Geetslys brother in this video
"Good.... good brother geetsly good... join your brother"
If the sith grand plan was never truly enacted the sheer number size and power of the CIS would be able to absolutely crush the republic (honesty the strongest militant group in all of Star wars)
6:46 I'm surprised none of the CIS leaders ordered that in the actual timeline.
There are a few more factors at play here I think.
Firstly there was an episode of the clone wars where padmé almost negotiated peace with a friend in the separatists before she was ordered assassinated by Douku.
The jedi's plans are mo longer being fed to Douku and so they would likely be a lot more successful.
Other elements like the night mother and mandolorians might change things as well.
The night sisters fought only against the separatists when they've been attacked and anyway the night sisters were defiants against both sides. For the Mandalorians, I think you speak about the takeover executed by Darth Maul and his ambitions, because Satine's government was pacifist and Pre Viszla wasn't interested by other systems ; anyway the Death Watch and the return of dark maul would have taken place long after the separatist victory.
They tried to kill trench twice but he lived both times
I'm kinda glad you changed the tone of your voice. It makes your admittedly great videos way more enjoyable.
Grievous: "looks like you need the Humbarine treatment. O H H A N Z"
Now I need a fanfic about the separatists taking over the galaxy. Seeing how the separatist "empire " would work and seeing how the rebels fought them would be very interesting!
My new head canon; The separatists were so OP and so correct in their ideas that the sith had to basically turn it into a toddler and even then the full-grown man of the Republic would have been strong-armed into peace negotiations if not for Sith Interference.
And if some lousy chancellor came back and said “Well then how about that pesky Confederacy? Let’s bring them back into the fold.”, they would have been annihilated by the countless droid armies of the CIS.
People say Quality is better than Quantity, but to quote Stalin, “Quantity has a Quality if it’s own.” And the CIS is an amazing example of that.
Well i think you kinda overstated the odds for confederacy - you said many times - sepies were handicapped by palpatine - but there were also numerous exmaples where paplpatine did exactly the same to republic forces - either by leaking the intel to sepies or by deliberately making bad strategy moves that resulted in failure - or at least severly increasing the chance for failure. Many times he also manipulated the jedi to act foolishly as well or by diverting them from one thing into another. Palpatine also protected many of sepies assets like banking clan or trade federation world/members/ senators despite them having connections to sepies - without that protection - the republic could that much easiert root them out - collapsing many flanks or projects from the sepies outright - by cutting them off from money or other support. I think the longer the war spanned - the more republic chances to win would grow. Sepies in order to win would have early on to use their might to stop republic warmachine from spinning up - because the moment it did so - they would be at disadvantage more and more as the war progressed. If anything the atrocities commited by grievous would cement the support against the cis forces - by proving that they cannot ignore that threat - aka if they are genocidal now - then they wont stop unless WE make them stop by grounding them to dust. Also keep in mind that Palpatine was also killing of many talented people on republic side - and that was smth you kinda neglected to point out too - this would translate into those ppl taking charge of armies as well - in the end it would result as jedi NOT being the minds behind the war - but rather advisors or combatants - but not masterminds since they would be outclassed very quickly by way more competent war/tactically oriented minds as well. And that would stop GAR from making foolish or silly tactical mistakes which were often made by jedi leaders. Palpatine pushed Jedi to be the leaders because he knew they were ill fitted to that task and that would both make them look weak or incompetent in the view of the public and on occasion it would also thin out their numbers in a "natural way". - Without palpatine to keep jedi in the leading role - they would be soon replaced by ppl who actually were good at "war".
4:48 How does "off planet energy transport" work?
Are the ships hauling giant batteries?
Hey Geetsly, there are two problems within your theories. Grevious was a construction/machination of Plapatine and Dooku as a way to make the entire galaxy tremble in fear to bring them to his side. And Ventress was only brought 'into the fold' because Dooku was looking for new, competing warriors and tech. If you remove all sith machinations and ambitions, you have two leaders/combative threats out of the picture. Ventress was only drawn to Dooku because she felt like she deserved to be sith, not just some dothimir witch or acolyte of one of the witch groups. Also the republic would have put out a proper call for building volunteer army over just relying on local Planetary defense forces and the clones. There was no such call to arms to out in canon. CIS numbers would still have been greater. But running both clone and non clone forces either together or in separate task forces. Manpower is ultimately not an issue for manning ships, fighters and boots on the ground. The fear of the separatist to Republic 'nationalists' would sign up in droves if allowed. Look at any war in reality. If a country is attacked, a large number of people enlist quickly. Think about the numbers of boots you'd get from Coruscant alone.
I know this is a weird question, but are you from Canada?
The alternate timeline I think about a lot is what if the mission to rescue Palpatine failed after Grievous escaped, and the ship crashed into Coruscant causing incalculable damage to the capital, and killing Sheev, Obiwan and Anakin. Grievous would take over from Dooku’s position and it’d be like in New Vegas when Lanius succeeds Caesar. Full war crime mode.
Without the Sith tho, most of the CIS wouldn't be a thing, not the minds, the corporate support or the infamous leaders would have been a thing, maybe a sort of rebellions here and there would have occurred, but those would have been crushed by economical pressure, political strategy or by the Republic reforming the Judicial Forces
When are you gonna do the next history of the republic? Are you gonna finish the series?

It doesnt make sense that the republic would ever have enough troops and ships to defend a significant enough part of their territory.
It would be cool to explore how they might use droids to supplement their clone and Jedi forces.
Also without sith meddling, the republic would have no clone army.
Without sith meddling, there would have been no war in the first place
@@laukseler359 maybe there would have been. There have been civil wars in our current world without “with meddling” simply because large swaths of people lose faith in their governments.

Okay but like this CIS vs The empire but replace the storm troopers with the jedi and a much larger clone army
Don’t forget that without the sith plot there is no grievous, at least not a sith-trained cyborg grievous.
I think regular people would start to fight for the Republic to help even out the odds and it would be like the Empire vs the rebels except with the Jedi helping
I have an odd feeling that even if the CIS was allowed to go their own way (lets assume they are happy with that, and Roger Roger their way back home) and become their own thing(s) - There would have after been oceans of bad blood between the remaining Republic, and the new Confederacy, and likely it would have only been a matter of time until another conflict would have broken out. Especially as those mega-corporation tycoons would have become richer than ever, thus growing their appetite for greed/bravery for such a tactic of securing more wealth, as it worked once already.
There also probably would have been a lot of smaller border skirmishes going on, as well as a long lasting even stronger culture of "us vs them" fostered for countless generations (especially revenge for General Grievouses little tour of the core during Durge's Lance would have been a big driving point for this), so when the next conflict would have arrived, it would have been even more destructive, as neither side would have been holding back in the slightest.
Maybe a video on what the aftermath of a CIS victory would have looked like would make a fine addition to your channels viewers collection? You would be wise to consider such an idea, Geetsly's. - waves -hand- wing in a very small circle as if performing a mind trick -
I support this idea for a follow up video
It would basically be the Great Galactic War and the following Cold War all over again.
Alternatively, right after the entire clone army is destroyed at Geonosis, the CIS sends the entire Geonosis Droid Army to Coruscant and forces a peace after one battle.
Aww ya skipped the attention Sargent on deck part of the intro .
I feel like the sith could still have been involved and a CIS victory could have still resulted in the rise of the empire.
Still, good stuff.
Thank You
Not to mention the confederacy probably would have made widespread use of the defoliator tank as they were rarely used in the clone wars.
Would grievous be a general for the CIS if they were just looking to be allowed to leave or allow other brutal tactics? I get we are leaving all persons in place pretty much but I just can’t see that as grievous and his atrocities by him and other separatist leaders were part of the sith plan
The great war of attrition to end all wars
Not while Captain Fordo still breathes. He could win it single handedly.
I feel like it would have been bad at first but the Republic would compensate with conscription plus a lot of Grievous’ tactical success was because of insider info. But the war would have been much worse and the Jedi probably wouldn’t last
Fascinating stuff. It also explains why Palpatine designed a military for the republic that while elite, was still too expensive and small to effectively combat the separatists on all fronts (partly due to it's late formation and slow growth). The clones too were supposed to be good enough to fight the separatists in those circumstances, but keep things desperate enough to keep people scared and ready for the empire, since their real purpose was just to kill the jedi and make way for the stormtrooper corps. Honestly, a CIS using it's full potential could have easily shattered the Republic in a short time, and if they wanted to (which non Smith controlled I doubt they would) probably could have controlled the galaxy more effectively than the Empire even. That wouldn't just be thanks to their droid numbers and functionality being ideal for occupation tactics, but because their fleet composition, tactics, and ground vehicles seemed far better suited to full warfare than the Empire, whose whole military was hamstrung by the shortsighted Tarkin doctrine
I actually thing the CIS would have been less genocidal in the end. Alot of things were manipulated to happen for Palpatine to justify hyper militarization.
I've always wanted to see an Alternate Universe where Palp didn't screw over the CIS and let them win the war and then form the Empire by conquering the Republic.
Let's also not forget that the CIS would also have monetary constraints on how many battle Droids they could have made and not have sith intervention via the banking clan
It would have been cool to see someone from the CIS putting together all the pieces realizing that they've been manipulated all this time only to be taken out by Palpatines assassins
Battle droids would have a VERY adwanced targeting Ai that would allow them to kill every foe (exept jedi probably) in one shot (like our Aimbot Ai).
I also think they would've killed Palpatine and other high comanders (Tarkin, etc.) asap with special Assasin Droids both invisibe (holo- prjections of the back to the front) and soundless (noice cancelling joints).
Being how MASTERLY A strategist Palps is. An being WAY better then Dooku at it... he'd use ALL OF that to PROBABLY unleash his full might in crushing the CIS. He'd have had all those contacts that played BOTH sides working against the Seps instead exclusively an he'd wanted the Commandos an secret agents doing what they're best at while trying to turn enemies into friends, make new ones, an pressing to get WAY more clone forces.
An... surgical strikes... that's MORE a Republic Commando Jedi elite fighter thing.. the Confeds we usually saw launching mass attacks. Since they had dozens of regular troops for all they commandos.
