  • Final Video from the Watagans Trip. Sunday morning we take on the somewhat infamous Creek Rd. Steve's promises of a relatively easy drive prove to be unfounded and we spend about 4hrs getting everyone up a slippery double rockstep and huge dirt hill.
    Lots of fun was had in the making of this video.

    Ahhhh the fun and games. Kirean is still IFS but solid rear. We will all blame Stephen for this day lol, easy my rear lol. My Show Us Ya Bits episode on the Pajinator released on Wednesday for those that want to see more. That darn Ranger lol they always need to be recovered lol. I've got 40mm lift with stock sized tyres, 265/70/16 where most others are 31 or 33 inch. A little more power maybe I could of gotten over the top but as you said I wasn't keen to break anything. The traction control in the Gen 4s made a big difference. Glad to see Waz stall it, I wasn't the only one. Love DenMonkeys drive, very close to heading over. It was a good weekend but stuff Creek Road. 2nd time I've been on there and never again.

      Was a great weekend, thx for the heads up on the Gen 2 wasn't 100% sure. You're episode on the Pajinator was great mate. An inch here or there on tyre size can be a huge difference.
      Yeah I think Waz, was the only manual Paj? not 100% on that but there weren't many.
      Fun times.... I'll come back!

      @@OffTheBeatenPathAus Mines manual too mate. Glad you enjoyed my vid. It's a great rig. Yeah an inch or 2 can make a big different with the vehicle. Having the drawer system etc in the back pushes that rear end down a little even though it's meant to be a +300kg set of springs. Being I don't do that style of driving normally I don't see the point in going up a tyre size for my usage.

    Does Dave have shares in a CV Factory? Jesus, he is brave ripping in like that with an independent suspension 4WD.

      You'd think so. Apparently he doesn't often break CV's, must time backing off the gas just right.....

    Amazing how tracks change. In the early 90s i could do creek rd solo in a stock 88 Suzuki sierra.

    Great video Jason, well put together! Remind me not to buy Dave's vehicle when it comes up for sale :) It's easy to comment from my chair at home, but I reckon the ranger would have made the exit hill if they went more cautiously through the last section, rather then planting it. Perhaps the tyres weren't good enough to do it with any less momentum though. Keep the videos coming~!

      Yeah that ranger I think was never making it. Stock (no lift) and road tyres. Only 5wks old. Thx Mate.

    Does your car need a 2 inch lift to get through this track without winching?

    • @OffTheBeatenPathAus
      @OffTheBeatenPathAus  Год назад

      Unless it's a very short wheel base, I'd say yes. The Ranger in the thumbnail had no lift.

      @acukeric Год назад +1

      @Off The Beaten Path yeah cool. I have a NP pajero with no lift so it would probably struggle over this

      @@acukeric Yeah, it's been worn down a bit now I think (recent Tyler Thompson Video on this track), as long as you're with someone or have a winch, should be ok
