      Excellent deal right now. Good move. A lot of pros think it is the best for RAW development.

    Thank you for sharing your workflow! If you’re working with Sessions. How do you put projects together with having images of different. Sessions?

    • @GajanBalan
      @GajanBalan  Год назад

      That’s pretty much it. There’s a Session for the trips, but then I’ll create Sessions for larger projects themselves.

    It's a pitty C1 doesn't supoort black and white files. I have to scan my BW negatives in RGB to be able to edit them with C1. So I switched back to LR again.

    Hi Gajan, When I edit my M11 files with Capture1, all the images have a tone of color cast, specifically green, but with LightRoom, everything looks great without any problem. I've tried all the color profiles on C1, and even with the built-in M11 color profile, they all look very bad. So I decided to stick with LR for now. Just curious to know if you Have experienced anything like this with M11 DNG files and C1. Thank you for the great videos.

      That’s odd. I haven’t had that issue. Feel free to send me a file to review.

    I get style but dang, for Leica $$$$, I would of thought straight out of camera colors would be IT!

    • @GajanBalan

      It’s all to taste. Sometimes I’m just crop and slight saturation boost for clients. But when I’m shooting for my portfolio, I’m looking to infuse my own look.

    Cool video, even though that one guy decided you're now shilling. Lol
    Does the latest version of Capture One enable you to save a style that can automatically create several layers with different names, in a single step? That aside, I also wonder if these would be situations in which applying a session _template_ could be useful.

    • @GajanBalan
      @GajanBalan  Год назад +1

      Haha, right?
      And yes, that’s exactly how the new styles work and you can really build out complex layers.

    But....imported into what, exactly? A hedgehog? It's a key detail missing from this video, and I suspect because its the main pitfall of the whole thing
    Ah, I want to convert over to capture one. But as soon as the workflow absolutely requires either a laptop or an ipad exclusive app, it falls over. Lightroom allows me to have this whole workflow but with a smartphone if I wanted to, or any tablet.

    I’d rather know how to have a fool proof backup system for my home computer. I recently lost a raid drive because the manufacturer didn’t keep up the firmware and so when I updated my computer, it wouldn’t even mount or recognize it, and the company could care less! They’re not going to make firmware updates for products they no longer make. This should be a warning to everybody!

      Welcome to today’s world of electronics & software. You could spend4, 5, 10k on a camera & it might not be supported anymore in 5-7 yrs. Need a new computer. The OS doesn’t suppose your older software. Its is a self sustaining economy within itself. Who knows, in the long run, if you add up all the cost involved with digital, it might be cheaper t shoot film. I’m sure one would most likely have less photos to cull thru!
