what i'm most impressed about is how jimmy's managed to get by for as long as he has without expanding his cattery. the small default cattery size has honestly been the biggest contributor to my disinterest in working on my cats and i have no intention of spending gems to expand it. clearly a skill issue though.

How in the actual hell did you do this with only 40 cat slots?! That amount of constant upkeep would drive me insane. Stellar vid btw, very informative as I am a.4yr player diving down this rabbit hole.
i rolled on a few hundred gold cat boxes and 90% of them had crap talents. so many +AA and +ASW bonuses, lol. but it is something to look forward to after saving up.
So, for sub cats, is the iron blood faction talent worth taking over say torpedo rookie? You lose 6 torp, but get 12 fp and 3 accuracy, so I've always been torn on what to go for. I always get Chief of staff and flame ect, but the faction buff has always been on the fence. Same applies to Sakura faction buff for carrier fleets, I usually have Kazugomo, Hak and Shinano as the minimum for the torp fleets and I have been playing around with Nagato to see how much of an effect she has on the runs.
I can't find an exact explanation I'm looking for on any meowfficers explainer videos and even in the wiki. I'm looking if meowfficers on sub fleet when called, do their talents apply to the whole fleet or just the subs? I have 2 meowfficers with Flame's aggression on the sub fleet, does the 6% dmg boost apply to the whole fleet when called? and vice versa? What if they retreat, do their boost disappear with them?
I don't reroll the cats. I just keep rolling new cats and if they have a good base roll I take them to lvl 10 and see if they get 2 more good skills. Then I just have them eat one of my higher level cats of the same kind with worse skills. One thing that I like is running a faction fleet with 2 cats with the faction buff at lvl 3.
Would you say it's worth keeping faction buffs as one of the cat's skill like in antenna's case for all of the factions, obviously in more favourable situations, like oscar with double bismarck or such.
I think the KMS and IJN ones are not bad if you really love those factions, HMS and USS have AA and their faction fleets are not as good so I don't think they're worth it Personally I wouldn't go out of my way to get any of them and would replace faction talents with better general talents
Battleship HP skill. I hate it so much. I've had so many otherwise good cats ruined by spawning with BBHP skill. God, why do you test me with rolling trash cats? My meowfficer tip. Rename XP fodder cats to X or XP.
Meowfficers have been neglected tbh. I hope they rework this mechanic. A lot of it's mechanics do not work in OpSi. And the problem stems because of the Campaign and OpSi mechanics disconnect.

Tbh I think that's a lot of players. Azurlane is just that type of game where the goal seems to be to collect more so than anything else.

Tyvm, was always too lazy to look up cats, just used some random ssr ones with random talents. Once again youve saved me a lot of effort
2:47 Wait, BOTH cats contribute to the loot in OpSi? I thought only the highest level one would go "hunt for loot".
Not confirmed and we don't have drop rates, but since both cats are disabled from battle if sent on a mission it is assumed to be the case
The best cat I have so far is a Steel with Alpha Wolf, Flame's aggression and SS TRP lvl2 as base talents. Others have weird combinations.

I get excited anytime I see a gold cat box drop even though I know the base cat is most likely gonna be garbage.
