I agree. He is the most energetic of them all so hopefully it leads to many more sequels.
And this could be awesome to see him take the role of the boss. A complete 180° for his character who started as a rookie in the first film.

It’s clear his post credits line “I will *ALWAYS* be a Ghostbuster” wasn’t just a scripted line, but spoken from the heart! Ernie may be an actor, but he will ALWAYS be a Ghostbuster!
Winston was my second favorite ‘Buster, right behind Egon, then Ray, with Peter taking up the final slot..
You know if you're going to do an animated GB film can it be in continuity with RGB/EGB.
I'm excited to take a look at this new content, but I knew this was gonna happen. I knew they were gonna wanna make more content and branch off of the four guys and the two incredible movies from the 80s, but I know that nothing will top those movies. I would of liked for more content from the four guys, especially on their lives now since they only scratched the surface of what happened to them after ghostbusters 2. Clearly we won't get more Harold content, I have a 'strong psychic belief' that we won't get anything else from Bill, Dan is likely to get involved and so is Ernie. Just the sound of a new crew of ghostbusters doesn't feel right to me. I feel like they are really squeezing as much money as they can out of this. And an animated movie... It's gonna be so corny and cringe, I feel like it's gonna be the same vibes as that animated scooby doo movie.

Ghostbusters Afterlife really gave the Ghostbusters franchise it's spark and Public interest back, this is what happens when you handle a sequel/Reboot with proper respect research and just putting your all into making sure it goes for the fans. I still hear people commend how they handled Harold Ramis and his appearance in the film bringing him back through a digital double with stand ins Ivan Reitman(RIP) and Mads. And now we are seeing the fruits of that the Ghostbusters franchise has been rejuvenated and is taking off once again to a new hopefully Revival Golden Era for the franchise in the modern day. Afterlife gave the Ghostbusters an Afterlife in the 21st Century.
@@andrewbloom7637 You say that when Ivan Reitman was on set himself approving and guiding his own son Jason who Directed. It was even approved by Harold's own daughter who put on her dads pack so they could get reference shots. I think you need to sit down and rewatch and actually learn the history. If Afterlife wasn't creative then we wouldn't be having this conversation there wouldn't be multiple projects on the way which a lot of people are excited for.

@@davidb.6681 yeah I have been as I'm trying to support another fandom right now that just lost a major voice actor the voice actor of Billy Kametz was announced that he had passed from colon cancer so that was a lot more important than fighting with a troll.

Perhaps the animated film will be based on the idea that Ivan spoke about which tells the story from a ghosts point of view.
Still should have happened 5 years before Raimis died.. Like early 2000 realistically/ Stll may happen but ghostbusters 3 with Harold a the time. should have then been what is extreme ghostbusters. Passing the torch as it were to new recruits. And shouldht Oscar.. Danas son e old enough to be a ghostbuster by now. or least have his character be in it, as well as Moranis, this time

However Netflix should stay FAR away from this franchise they pretty much ruin ANYTHING they make both for Live action films based on Anime or even Anime reboots based on Anime from Japan as well.
Maybe now we can convince Coca-Cola to FINALLY bring back Ecto-Cooler
I hope they don't use the animated version to push a woke version. Comics are in such a bad place with virtue signaling and it will hurt the franchise if they repeat the 2016 mistake. Just please do a continuation of Extreme GB's when they are adults if they want a diverse squad. You can't get much more diverse then a GB in a wheelchair.

All right I have to admit the Ghostbusters afterlife was pretty good but I don’t wanna continue on the same path as we did on the other movie I mean we do want to feel like we’re at a future film and not some remake this kind of feeling behind it I was wrong about the last one I was A little comprehensive about it but it turned out to be a pretty good film however now we’re going to see phoebe and all the other characters back again in a returning Ghostbusters movie called fire house not Ghostbusters but fire house now I’m a ghost buster fan I have been a ghost buster fan since I first saw the first film when I was three years old I’m just gonna have to say it I hope we don’t go back to the same storyline along with the Spangler family we already got through that chapter why do we need to go back that way I say we get on with some better storyline and not the same repeat as the only thing that left out is about phoebes dad and why she broke up with her husband which personally I don’t care I mean I can’t be the only one to say this I like the story ideas but I don’t want to see it in every film and I don’t think Ivan Rettman would want us to watch the same film again I’m not gonna pay to own this Ghostbuster film if it’s not what I would expect from a ghost buster movie what character could they possibly bring in on this one they beat goes in the Ghazarian so are they planning on being here the Carpathian I mean what who’s gonna be the villain do you need a good villain a spirit an evil spirit and the ghost buster franchise to make it good if they are going to bring back another Ghostbusters movie bring back slime are we missed him in the last movie we need him in this one

I would say that the franchise is in safe hands now that Amy pascal is not at Sony anymore cause she didn’t know what she was doing all she wanted was a female led movie and didn’t care what Franchise she destroyed to get it this isn’t a woman hating thing just that Amy shouldn’t have had the power she did to nearly destroy the ghostbusters brand

@@tomspence8506 I thought the girls film was perfectly fine, if it upsets the purists (still not sure how anyone can actually get *angry* about a movie) just see it as a stand alone film sharing only a title.
I really hope the animated movie is a rebirth of The Real Ghostbusters with their original voice actors.

Great announcements. I actually like the idea of a GB movie just called ‘Firehouse’. It’s as much a character in the movie as anywhere else. There must be a story about the Firehouse becoming home to something else, a portal to somewhere etc. you can’t store all those ghosts somewhere without consequences

I actually really liked Afterlife, it was really sweet. The family was great, lots of venkman like sarcastic mannerisms from mum and daughter. Paul Rudd is always reliable in a convincing character, and need more ghosts with their own identities as the muncher was cool. So yeah very keen on a next instalment.
Edit - You'll never get as good or as funny as the 84 original, but as long as you continue to be respectful of it like in afterlife and strive for quality over quantity continuously, then there's no reason why it can't run and run
Also if they're going back to the firestation, please make it a new plot and not try and recreate the original but with kids.
So not only is a new animated Netflix show in the works, a fourth film, and a full-length film.

Really excited for both these movies! The ending scene of Ghostbusters: Afterlife really got me thinking what a potential squeal could look like.
As long as they do a better job then what Disney's Marvel and Star Wars is doing at the moment. I'm all in, but if it's bad I'm gonna call it out.
