I, too, am a new father (well, technically not yet, _but_ I will be on or around October 19 of this year!), and now I can appreciate this episode more. As a kid, I didn't notice how this episode parodied real-life parenthood (as a kid, it was just funny to see SpongeBob dressed as a woman and seeing Patrick being lazy).
That’s the sign of a great story - one that takes on new meaning for you as you get older. Congrats to your new family and best of luck to you this October!
You’re definitely a great father! It’s really refreshing to hear a perspective on this show like this, usually like 90% of the SB analysis videos I’ve found parrot the same thing, but this is something I’ve never heard before. And I wish you luck with your daughter, you’re already doing great :)
I love how you can pickup a message from everything, good luck with your daughter, if you can see how impactful a SpongeBob episode can be I have not doubt that you're gonna be a great father
Thank you for the vote of confidence haha. And yes it is cool we can pick up impactful messages like this, it’s one of the best aspects of engaging with art - even something as popular as SpongeBob
The first 3 seasons are a masterpiece, no wonder the first years of SpongeBob earned so many fans. Lol 1:35 this guy is next level. Sad this episode is so underrated compared to the anothers.
Hey dude, proud of u guys on your family, God bless, prayers your daughter grows up healthy, and that both of you manage parenthood easily. Also prayers your channel takes off so you can become self employed
Bro, this video deserves way more than just 30 likes at the time I'm writing this comment! I hope this video takes off and you get the recognition you earned bro!!
This has always been one of my favorite episodes. Looking back, It's probably partially due to how this episode just was my family until my parent's divorce. (Don't worry, no hard feelings there.) What I mean by that is how my mom basically did everything and my dad was always off doing his own thing. So as someone whose played the role of Junior for pretty much their entire life, I cannot stress how much respect I have for you actively avoiding that stereotype
I’m sorry to hear about what you went through earlier on in life, my dad was also a child of divorce so I can see what kind of impact that has. Still, I really do strive to be a good dad so I appreciate the vote of confidence, as well as you watching the video!
@@KircherTalksEntertainment I appreciate your empathy but don't worry. It was never really that sad for me, aside from when they got divorced. Although, you could make the argument that is kinda sad in of itself
I'm a new parent as well, and I appreciate the video drawing attention to the sb episode. It's interesting to remember the episode again after becoming a dad. This video doesn't have a lot of views, so I'm guessing the channel's new. Some feedback for you as a viewer. 1. 3 minutes of absolute fluff at the start. I got upset when I realized the first 3 mins could have been summed up to something that's less than a minute. 2. I think the 3 mins of nonsense would be more acceptable if the video wasn't like 8 mins long. 3. 2 mins of it was recapping the episode. So now you have 3 mins of nothing 2 mins of recap, and that leaves 3ish mins of content. 4. The content you did offer wasn't really thought-provoking. It felt like you read me a PowerPoint slide word for word, then realized you had to say something original. After realizing you just read me the slide, you decided to paraphrase the PowerPoint in a last-ditch effort to make it sound like contributed something. I don't make yt videos, but I do watch a lot of em. Does that make me an expert? Nope. Wish you luck on your yt journey friend.
Truly, thank you for providing such honest feedback! I have been making videos on RUclips for quite a while but haven’t really taken off after all that time, so criticism like this is very useful since it encourages me to refine my craft and make my videos more engaging. These are the kinds of comments that I want, since without the knowledge that what I am doing isn’t gelling with my audience, I can’t improve. I do really appreciate you watching this through to the end, though. Wishing you the best of luck as a new parent as well. And all good things in moderation as well, time can be spent with the bois so long as your significant other feels that you’re pulling your weight as a parent! That’s been our experience so far, anyway.
@KircherTalksEntertainment definitely! It just seemed like you were pulling so many duties. I'm genuinely impressed that you can find time for the boys with a packed schedule.
Exactly! That’s how it is for me oftentimes too. Good things games like Left 4 Dead 2 have an AFK feature where you can go idle without leaving your friends in the dust.
spongebob is so crazy because almost all of the golden era eps have thousands of layers of not just comedy, but also wisdom. great video!
Indeed, they’re classic episodes for a reason! Thanks for watching!
So true and they are good for older peoples and for kids, Not boring+ the most SpongeBob meme templates are from the first 3 seasons.
Try watching "A better schedule for Nickelodeon's main block" by Evan Rosman
I just added it to my Watch Later playlist. Thanks!
Patrick being a deadbeat dad will never not be funny 😂 "so this is the thanks I get for working overtime?"
OVERTIMEEEEEEEE
THERE’S THAT STUPID NOISE AGAIN

@@KircherTalksEntertainment I feel the episode teaches new parents and partners to not be like Patrick in this episode.

This SpongeBob Episode Hits Me WAY Different Now that I got laid.

6:30: I hang out with 'the boys' online. They know I may have to jump up and help with the kid at some point.

Thank you so much!
This video makes me not wanna have kids lmao
My intention wasn’t to scare people off from parenthood, but I don’t blame you haha
I freaking love SpongeBob
