I would like to thank this gentleman for posting this. My ford focus estate car had a new battery installed and afterwards I realised my radio wasn't working and asking for a code. It wasn't in the handbook or in the glove compartment. I followed this and in 2 minutes I had the radio up and running! All of the sites I had previously googled wanted money to obtain the code. So thank you once again.
I started my watching when you welded mk6 transit helped me a lot. And could take photo of serial number off radio if to fast 🤝 keep the videos coming brother 🫵🤝👍🍀
i can't understand why they have to have a code on most of the radios, especially the cheap built in ones. they are not exactly high on the theft list, not worth enough to make it worthwhile.
Hi there This is a bit left field as they say , but happened upon your channel recently and was fascinated to see you had acquired a Honda PC50 moped . This brought back so many memories, as bought one of these new in 1970 for the princely sum of £75 pounds plus £5 pound insurance. I eventually sold it so years later for £15 pounds . It had been in my parents garage all that time , yet when the chap I sold it to came to collect it I thought I’d just try and start it , low and behold it started first time . Quite an amazing piece of engineering, which never let me down , and would do a hundred and twenty miles on a gallon of fuel . So just out of curiosity did you restore it to its former glory ? , I do know now they are fetching quite a bit of money these days . Hope you don’t mind me asking , but would love to know what happened to it . Best wishes and kind regards to you and your family 😀👍👍👍
HI bud, A chap saw the number plate and had nearly the same plate on one of his other classic cars and he really wanted it so I sold it to him. He was also going to restore it.
I've had the software for years as relative is a mechanic , 9 times out of ten pull the radio out the code is written on top with marker pen in my experience. Lol
@@joeynebulous816 I do admit they are the worse design ever , the previous models where so easy to remove the u shaped ones , these which look like half a broken scissor / can ring pull are a nightmare to line up and flick the release. On my Mondeo I snapped two of them off alas doubt I be taking radio out again as last one packed up so recently replaced it for another from scrappy.
Useful but to be honest those 6000 models are utter bilge I've changed mine twice now in my 2011 Mk7 and when this one dies, which it will, I'll put putting something else in its place.
That's a great result Martin, saves huge time and expense of going to a Ford dealer to get the code. Excellent 😊👍

Good luck pulling the radio out. I couldn't get it out with the release keys and had better luck with steak knives.

Gutted I can't use this because the screen on my radio doesn't work
And write it down for the next time to have to disconnect the battery.
Thank you so much it worked 😇😇
