We used to use black gel back in the day to smooth down hair. We called it "freezing gel" and it was always black in color but translucent black almost dark purple when it's actually in your hand......if that makes any sense. It was mostly used for wedding styles though and another style called "popcorn". The nostalgia 😩 I wonder if they still make that type of gel. Anyway, this was in Malawi 🤷🏾♀️

if its the one i am thinkof it will stain, dry so krinkly, i hope its not, if it is get ready plenty hot water plenty if u hope to save ur hair your a whole month before start to break if u dont remove it, i really am wrong, as her hair look so healthy and beatiful

That’s a beautiful hairstyle and there’s some amazing Gel It’s nice to see that you can take your natural hair and do so many amazing things and not have to always other process it , No matter what type a grade of hair that you have , it’s all good there’s no good hair are bad hair, take it for me I have no hair doesn’t grow back correctly, I have a lot of spots in the biggest receiving hairline from one Temple to the Next temple and it don’t grow back correctly after chemotherapy and I have to consider age have to be a factor too, I’m blessed to be alive and I’m bald and I’m proud ✊🏾 I have except my boldness which was a process, so I tell women that have hair no matter what grade of hair you have all textures of hair is good, but it’s your hair ! you can change the texture anytime you want to , because that is your choice and thank God he’s giving us the power of choice to choose different Ways to style our hair, that’s if you have it and if you don’t there’s ways of putting hair back on your head there’s so many things you can do now , it’s a beautiful thing it’s called the power of choice! Hair is good and no hair is good ,kinky hair is good, Straight hair is good, wavy hair is good, whatever style that you want to put on your head so long as you’re not hurting yourself and no one else do it! Just be comfortable in the skin that you’re in!

What products should I use on my hair if i’m natural but i don’t have a defined curl pattern due. Some parts of my hair don’t curl but it isn’t damaged. So what should i do?
Sounds like you have more than one curl pattern perhaps. You'll probably have to play with different products in those sections

Yeah it will most likely mess it up if it’s cotton or something that’s has cotton texture but silk pillows or like a silk bonnet will not mess it up or anything because all the oils get into the pillow or bonnet a moisturizes it and dosen’t make a mess!

i use similar techniques to define my curls . the problem is that it frizzes quickly so i must finger coil all of them and that takes like an hour :'(
i hope if my hair would seperate and clump together without finger coiling like those videos. any advise?
You have to moisturize your hair first before applying any curly hair products to avoid frizzy curls

and time trying to alter the natural state of 4c hair... this hair pattern isnt meant to be looking curly defined like 3c or 3b hair... i wish we would be proud of the 4c texture instead of ashamed wearing weaves because its beautiful naturally kinky.

All chemical treatments are known to cause cancer and warning labels told us. Dont know why we act surprised, this isn't new knowledge nor just a black woman problem. ALL chemical treatment have cancer warnings. Bleaching, permanent dyes, ALL permanent straight, curl and wave treatments. Yet we will continue to do what we want to do.
