Lara is one of the main idol of Dimash and probably his main inspiration in the way he delivers and builds his songs. He covered 4 of her songs, she wrote the lyrics of one of his song znd they performed together in a trio.

Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar.
The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her.
It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti). Even Metallica covered it
But for many, Lara's version from the concert From Lara With Love 2000 ruclips.net/video/BP2KnLemT78/видео.html is the best ever, as she was able, with her unique ability to convey the emotions of a song, to reveal the real sad story written by Lucio Dalla.
I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it.
For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Italian is her first native language. Her husband is also sicilian. She also has been living there for the past few months since the end of 2022.

Lara seems to be a reverse empath. Instead of detecting and feeling everybodies pain, she can absorb everybody's pain and spit it back at us. For more info read the Sicard post below. He is not the President, official or unofficial, of her fan club. He is a fan who, like many others, has studied her career in depth. To his credit he has invested time to spread the word effectively on reaction channels.

Possibly the best performer ever captured on camera. Some one once said she is an artist who has mastered both the physical and emotional sides of performing.

One thing you will hear a lot of if you continue to listen and watch her performances is people comment as to how she makes you feel as she is singing just to you. Anytime you get a chance to enjoy one of her magical performances always look at a live version vs a video as she is one of the very few artists who perform and sound so much better live when she can give her all to an audience. I hope you continue to feature what a lot of us feel is the greatest female singer on the planet today! Oh and by the way she is not Canadian, she is Belgian/Italian who moved to Canada.
Yes and she has now moved back to Sicilia (in her mother’s family city, and with her sicilian husband).
She is also tied to France, as she has been a star there for decades and had a girl with her ex-companion, a famous french tv and show producer.
But she only has 2 passports: From Belgium and Canada. And her heart belongs to Quebec, that’s her shelter.

🇨🇦 Lara (not Laura) is singing in Italian ! No drums needed, in fact just her and a Piano !
In case you were not told, Lara is a trained Lyric Soprano and can sing in 12 different languages ! She is fluent in 4 languages (French, Spanish, Italian and English) and writes songs in all of them ! Lara did not write this song, but everyone agrees that her version of it is the Best ! 🇨🇦

Every song from "From Lara with Love 2000" is absolutely master class and performed with great emotion. This isn’t even her best performance, it’s great, but there are so many more from the same concert, Je Suis Malade, Adagio and Broken Vow

Lee, I’m so glad you found seeing and listening to Lara a healing experience.
Belgian born Canadian singer, but mother was Italian and she has also since, married an Italian, so she has ties to many countries. She is also known for having "the ring". On certain notes, her resonance shows an overtone above the note sung, which makes it sound like the note is ringing. It's really very ethereal. She is a superb performer/storyteller besides just having a phenomenal voice. She does write many wonderful songs, but not this one. Adagio, which Dimash also songs, was written (lyrics) by her, and uses the music by Albinoni.
This was Italian but shw sings in French , Spanich English and more. React to "Je taime' live in French and "Quedate " in Spanish or basically ANY other Lara songs. She is a diva🇨🇦
