True. I agree. I would keep foles and trade away wentz. Wentz is a better athlete overall but I would keep foles because he is a better fit for the eagles and develop a future quaterback in the draft for long term success. Trade away wentz to improve the team even more and keep foles in my humble opinion.
That is not true the o line and receiver just happen to get better from the Dallas game and on. There are many reasons why they clicked. i.e health of offense& defense.
Ppl love to say the offense click better w/ foles but forget about when wentz went 11-2. Did the team not click w\ wentz when they beat rams w/ wentz....beat broncos 50 points. The reason wentz look average is recovering from 2 ligament surgery and wentz no training camp w the team.
@Loyal Philly fan I can't remember who made this original quote but "the best ability is availability" or something like that. I hope that wentz will stay healthy. Foles won the only super bowl for yall and that along in my opinion should at least give him another year to be a starter for the eagles. I'm not a philly fan because I love the braves and my saints but I do respect philly and their teams. I admit I was quite nevous for my saints with foles at the helm. I would recommend keeping him..... He's good and was the super bowl MVP.
Wentz is a better athlete but Foles is a better game manager AND has more trust from the players. The players want to win for Nick when he’s out there!!
I was going to say Wentz and Foles are pretty symbiotic. Wentz goes out there and gives his strategy up, then Foles comes in like a clean up crew and remains unpredictable towards the end of the season. You switch them out every couple of weeks and teams won't know who they're playing.
Yeah, I hate all of these fake fans that only seem to watch the Eagles when they are in the playoffs. We can see what Carson can do, and that is be a regular season mvp caliber quarterback.
Nick Foles is judged differently. Everybody expects him to light it up every game. If not they are a lot more critical towards him. With Wentz it's nothing but excuses.
mtaa11 -- You're 100% correct. It's because people believe Wentz hasn't fully developed and Foles has. So there is more leeway for Wentz to make mistakes because they figure he's still learning. But when Foles makes mistakes people say, "well, he should know better."
No, not at all. Foles didn’t play well against the Bears and the Saints and he wasn’t criticized for it much. Let’s say Wentz played that Saints game and did exactly what Foles did, Wentz would be heavily ridiculed and blamed for ruining the season.
all at home.. thanks to carson wentz winning 10 games in a row to get the #1 seed. without carson wentz, foles wouldn't of won it all last year. simple.
MadSense Do you think if Carson didn't get injured he wins those last 3 games?Nick did what he was ask to do and the Eagles snuck into the playoffs and beat a really good Defense on the road. Then they had a chance to win the Saints game but lost. Forget about everything that happened last year with Wentz. He ain't that player no more due to injury. Wentz still is a good quarterback but he still has a lot to prove. To say Foles doesn't deserve the credit for this year postseason run is unjustified and yes the defense/o line played better down the stretch. This team has to be in the playoffs next season under Wentz but that a ton of pressure on 1 player. Idk he can do it but we will see.
MadSense you didn't answer my question if Carson would've won those last 3 games. I was happy for Carson MVP type season last year but then he got hurt and Foles step in to help us win it all. MVP quarterback or super bowl champs real Eagles fan know what's better
@@Briggzthe4th - I easily think Wentz would of got us to the superbowl last year. You're asking a hypothetical question though so it's only speculation. Look at the numbers and future of the franchise. Nick Foles wanted to retire just a couple years ago.. Wentz wants to prove himself and is on a rookie contract for two more years.
Your best ability is availability. Last I checked, Nick Foles has proven to be more available than Carson Wentz. How Foles isn't better than Wentz based on that is beyond me.
Foles has had a bit of an injury history as well. Its also hard to really judge his ability to be available when he had a small sample size to work with coming in as a backup for a handful of games both seasons. Not really fair to compare the two in that regard, imo.
He's not playing half the time so he's always available fool, Wentz plays about 13 games a year and his bad luck got him getting hurt late in the seasons. Wentz got the stuff to win a Superbowl too
Has everyone on here forgotten how good a healthy carson wentz is?? When healthy carson was the MVP. he threw 33tds and only 7 ints. He went 11-2. Without wentz eagles wouldn't have been in the position to make the playoffs or super bowl. Foles is great and a legend and the offense does look really good with foles but what were we all saying when carson wentz was healthy and took the eagles 11-2? Yea that's what I thought. 🤔🤔🤔
Why do people say a qb beat another qb they didnt play each other they played the opposing defense. Brady set a record for yards in a super bowl he put played foles foles just had a better defense
Anybody can be hurt playing pro football, Aaron Rodgers has been hurt multiple years and no one talks about moving on from him. Wentz isn't prone to getting hurt, his style of play is. That can be altered slightly. ie: sliding instead of talking a hit, throwing to his check down and running when you can not because you want to. Foles is great I love him, but we have yet to see him consistently carry a team through a full season and into the playoffs. He didn't look great in the beginning of the year, and he won in the playoffs but wasn't great. We scored 14pts in the first Qrt, and that was it. He threw 2 interceptions in the Rams game, 2 in the Chicago game and 1 INT in every game since he took over for Wentz. Elite QB's don't give the other team chances to score, you have to take care of the ball. Wentz in my opinion is better he just needs the pre season to work with the players to get the timing back.
eoe123321 I meant to type the Bears and Saints he threw two in both games. So in two games in the playoffs he threw 4 int’s and two TD’s. Drew Bree’s ONLY threw one, Nick had two so how did that work out for the Eagles with his 2-1 INT /TD ratio? All teams face good defenses he isn’t the only one
eoe123321 I can say what if Foles threw the ball in the numbers so if he dropped it it would of just fell. We can’t go on fantasy only facts. The Eagles defense has the best redzone Defense in the League all season. On paper The Bears were better but when they played The Eagles won even if only by a missed FG, that the Eagles defense tipped the ball.
Brett Favre is totally correct: The Eagles go nowhere with Carson Wentz. I am an Eagles Fan, Most games this past season I seen Carson Wentz. Wentz has lost his form. Just because his football season started with him in the run for the MVP ended, doesn't mean he will come back to that form. If you paid any attention to the past season when Carson Wentz was the quarterback, his form changed through every game. Think: why Ertz was his favorite target on all short yards and he never looks downfield to throw the ball. There is nothing there, Wentz doesn't have what it take(They better keep Foley). They will not make another playoff with Wentz. I am certain of that. Nothing there for Wentz. Foley should be the starting quarterback. To go further: Doug Pederson wasn't' that good on coaching. He did not couch the game, the game coaches him. Who take a time out for five yards on the open second half. Who doesn't take 10 yards penalty and think the other team going to punt the ball with less than a yard? This is the PLAYOFF! Pederson makes Peewee League coaching mistake. And now he's about to make another one with letting Nick Foley go for Carson Wentz.
Nick Foles truly makes the defense, offense and everything work better, it’s fluidity at its finest along with clock management and mistake free option football. Just as Brady and Brees or any good Quarterback helps rest up the defense with long drives. Also I know Foles with Ajayi or say McCoy back would be ... amazing and some nice pieces in a big trade of wentz n to the sunset
Its alot of casual NFL fans that are saying Foles is better. Then there are a lot of NFC east haters mainly Cowboys saying this. Lol WE also have some Eagles Foles stans. WE will be hearing this all offseason. I just hope we make the right moves this offseason and get Carson protection and at least two legit running backs to take pressure of him. I dont want him trying to do too much.
I thought the Eagles were idiots for trading Nick Foles in 2014 and I’m going to think the Eagles are idiots for trading Nick Foles in 2019. I know the Eagles invested a lot to get Carson Wentz but the fact is that the team just runs much smoother with Nick Foles under center, Super Bowl victory aside. Th Eagles can get an even better haul if they trade Carson Wentz but since they spent a first round pick on him they’re most likely not going to do that to themselves.
Brock Lobster when Nick Foles is starting for the Eagles we go on win streaks and the team gets hot! When Wentz starts its the Carson and Ertz show. Which leads to a few wins then the opponent defense catches on and now were playing behind and losing tight games. After that Carson Wentz is all banged up and get hurt game after game till we noticed he playing injured. Now he out and we need are back up to start but oh that's right we traded Foles now we got some scrub of a back up throwing away any hope of a win. Now its the off season and Wentz has really good stats so we don't trade him and we repeat everything again for next season 🤷🏾♂️. At the end of the day Foles is a postseason winner and Wentz is a statistically stats player who can play good when healthy but is injury prone. If it was me I would keep both and go from there(ps that's what they did last year) for the ppl saying they can't do that lol.
Doug calls better plays for Nick. Carson had his worst year performance wise with an injured team (and himself) half the year, it's too early to think about moving him, and Doug needs to help Carson more in the first half play calling.
EagleZtoTheGrave ok maybe wentz needs more time to learn or something but if he doesn't show a spark next season. Philly fans are gonna let doug and anybody us that let Foles out that door hear it. If you ask me this has to be Carson contact year to say. Idk it just won't be good if he doesn't show up next season.
Carson Wentz has played in three seasons so far and has seen two of them end with severe injuries (knee and back). I know that the Eagles invested a lot in him and I think Carson is a good QB but those injuries start to pile up, just ask Sam Bradford what injuries did to his career as a top pick. Eagles need to think about this carefully.
I'm not 100% sold on Pedersen being the best coach for Wentz. Pedersen's offense seems to work better with a pocket QB who relies on pre snap reads and chunk yardage plays.
What more does Nick Foles have to do?? He beat Tom Brady in his prime. Won the Super Bowl MVP and lead the Eagles into the playoffs again and almost beat the saints. Damn
FJS hey man I get it, you’re a Wentz fan and he’s not trash by any means, he can’t stay healthy it seems and his team doesn’t seem to play with him like they do with Foles, like does Wentz beat the Bears in Chicago? I don’t know man
@@cuttycain1334 IF he was healthy yes! he beat them last year. Wentz was playing not 100 percent this year along with the entire Eagles team. We were missing key starters all season. Nick Foles comes in and the team starts playing better mainly because we started to get some of those players back and the back ups started to gel. Only thing that Foles is better than Wentz at is the deep ball. I watched both players and trust me a healthy Wentz is the right choice!
people forget that the eagles were in playoff mode from wk 14 Rams, Texans, Redskins , Bears were all must win games. that is pressure. for me wentz doesn't have the clutch gene. to me he is the future RG3. makes financial sense for the eagles to trade foles though. if it was me personally I woud trade wentz. but it is unlikely that would happen
I'm not sure if Carson Wentz will be a good quarterback in the future. All that I know is that this year answered a lot of my questions about him. Last year, I bought into the entire Wentz MVP narrative - but this year, I started to change my tune when I dug into the narrative. When I took a look at the teams Wentz played last year during his run, all of his wins were against cupcake teams. Giants, 49ers, Washington, Denver, the Cowboys - I mean, who couldn't run up the scores on these teams in 2017? The competitive teams such as Seattle and KC, he lost. This year, was more of the same. Wentz was great at cupcake teams with wins against the Giants, Washington, Jaguars. But against teams that could fight, he buckled. Against Drew Brees and the Saints, he really showed he true colors. That wasn't an anomaly. Wentz was redfaced, threw water bottles, controlled by anger during this game. And that trickled down to the entire team. He was the leader and no one was calm. No one believed. The media, who was in love with Carson, gave him a pass because he was coming off of knee surgery. Wait a minute, wasn't DeSean Watson coming off knee surgery too? Look where the Houston Texans finished? And then when we found out Carson had a stress fracture in his back, they used that as an excuse too. So a broken back is an excuse for staring down Ertz? He only "started" playing bad until Nick Foles took over and started winning. Up until then, there was no narrative that Carson Wentz was playing bad. They kept telling us how great his numbers were - and they were. He had high completion rates, checking down to Ertz throughout the entire year. They loved his passer rating. The only thing he couldn't do was win big games - or win against teams better than a .500 record. Now I hear Stephen A. Smith saying that Carson Wentz is a better talent than Foles. Well, Carson Wentz can run faster and throw farther than a lot of great quarterbacks. So could Matthew Stafford, RG3, Daunte Culpepper, Lamar Jackson, Michael Vick, Randall Cunningham, and TIM TEBOW. But are they better Tom Brady? Are they really better than Nick Foles? Last I checked Matthew Stafford is still trying to figure out how to win a game - but he can make every throw. I can only list two great athletic QB's who are truly good, Mahomes and Wilson (maybe DeSean Watson). All of the talk about how great Carson Wentz will be, right now, is purely guessing and rhetoric. Foles - wins big games, clutch games. Wentz isn't. And being clutch is something you can't train. In those moments, it's all about controlling your emotions, something Wentz cannot do. What does Wentz do in high pressured moments? Scrambles. I once heard a talking head say, "If you take away Nick Foles 27-2 season, his 7TD in a game, his Super Bowl wins, and clutch performances, then can we see the real Nick Foles." Uhm.... You just took away all of his accomplishments.... I truly hope Carson Wentz proves me wrong. If not, it's going to be a long decade.
Thoughtful post. I agree with much of the latter three quarters of it, the cupcake schedule argument has its strengths but Im not totally sold on that bc that's what you are supposed to do to those teams is blow them out- still it's noted, and I will add that a stat that came up this year that really concerned me was that Wentz has very few "comeback victories" in the 4th quarter of his career. Think it came up in the game against Carolina when he was driving and threw the INT when they were down in the red zone. It was a really ugly play that for a 4th down with the game on the line, it at least needs to come cleaner, and I think he had Jeffrey open in the end zone on that play but didn't see him, or the play before that one... Im not as critical of Wentz as you are, though, overall, just bc I think he is still young and with hard work he can learn more and improve. THe only thing that concerns me is keeping him healthy. He was taking a beating this year. He's lucky it was only a stress fracture and not another reinjured knee....Still, I would prefer to keep Foles over him. Wentz is great when he's healthy. But Ill mention again, last year, he would get out to big leads so he never had to make any 4th qtr comebacks,,,Foles has done it and done it in the Super Bowl on the largest stage and in Chicago against a wicked Defense that is even better at home, and he had cracked or bruised ribs that game, and still did the 2 minute drill to win. He probably would have done it in NO too if not for the dropped pass, and I think he was still injured in NO bc those rib injuries take 4-5 weeks and a player fell on him on a late hit in the 2nd qtr that should've been a penalty, and I think that reaggravated the rib injury which would partially explain why his numbers dropped and passes were a little underthrown downfield at times for the rest of the game.
@eoe123321 I'm going where the real talent goes foles don't care where he play that's my quarterback forget Wentz I hope if foles do stay close by giants I hope he own the eagles for the next couple of year's for what they doing to him
Foles beat a far more superior Rams team by arm with a very degraded Eagles roster. Foles almost blew out the Rams and set personal records with less talent while winning games. Foles is indeed better. If Wentz didn't set any records this year, was everything being done? 25 Straight completions to rookies like Josh Adams and Dallas. Most passing yards in a Eagles game. More than any Owens game, or Wentz game.
Philly Cujo let’s not overstate things, if the rams punt returner doesn’t drop that ball, rams get the ball back with 4 minutes, and I think they, at least, tie
If Phili doesn’t trade Wentz and keep tricky Nick they are foolish as hell... How is he not in the same category as Wentz, he’s a Super Bowl champion Wentz isn’t. Not living off of last year either. Didn’t he win out to get into the playoffs, and he also beat The Bears, and almost beat New Orleans?? Don’t be foolish..
Nick won out this season to put The Eagles in position to repeat, and won out last year. With Nick he’s proven in the playoffs. The end game is The Super Bowl right?
Nick Foles is not a better Qb than Wentz, he has too much inconsistency, too many over aggressive throws that came to bite him in the Saints game. The front office of the Eagles are not stupid, they see the talent Wentz has, the production he has given them and see a potential superstar. I think a team to look out for is the Titans. Mariota is an injury risk and has not developed the way the Titans wished he would have( going into year 5 next year). At the final physical test prior to the off season if he is healthy, I think the Titans would be smart in releasing him if he is not injured ( since they can not do so if he is healthy). The Titans have a need at QB and DE. They could possibly trade a second and switch first round picks and trade a fourth round pick with the Eagles for him ( after giving him a 1 year extension); the worst case scenario is he is a serviceable starter and they use their first round pick next year for a QB from the upcoming draft, best case scenario they sign Deflippo as the offensive coordinator and Foles has a great run to get this team( who has talent at every position on offense) deep into the playoffs. There are only the Dolphins, who wish to keep their future draft picks, the Oakland Raider; who if they trade Carr for picks and players would be in the market for a short term starter while they use their pick for next years draft on the deep QB class; and the Jaguars and Broncos, who I personally don't see either them being a trade option given their salary cap situation or lack of youth. Any way you think about it the going rate for Foles should be a first round pick or equivalent to that.
*Here's the bottom line:* Wentz is better than Foles, but Eagles are better with Foles. I believe Eagles should make Foles a starter, because they will be more successful with him. This is very similar to Brady/Bledsoe situation. In 2001 everyone knew Bledsoe was the future and he was also "better" than Brady, but Brady was more clutch and Patriots played better with Brady instead of Bledsoe. So Belichick said: "We're going with Brady, because team plays better with him." And look what happened. Obviously now we know that Brady is better than Bledsoe ever could've been, but in 2001 no one really knew that, except for Belichick, who saw that the team plays better with him compared to Bledsoe. I highly believe that Eagles are taking Foles and what he did for granted. Foles has many intangible attributes that Wentz doesn't and that's very important, nor can you put a price on that
I get irritated now with the NFL because they think just because your a mobile QB it makes u a better QB.. availability is the number one thing. Where was Wentz the last couple times they went to the playoffs? It's only a matter of time when all these mobile QBs get injured. I'll take a pocket passer over a mobile passer any day.
What has overrated injury prone Wentz done that makes him better then Foles? This is ridiculous. Foles takes the 6-7 Eagles where everybody thought they were done to the 2nd round in the playoffs. Same team that Carson had. Same Oline with no run game. The Eagle are idiots if they don't keep Foles. Trade Wentz and keep Foles.
It wasn't the same o-line... Lane Johnson didn't step it up until later in the season and the o-line was not that great against the Vikings. Plus the play calling was lazy and didn't help when Carson was in vs Nick, too early to let him go. The team got hot at the right time as a unit, with injuries everywhere.
I was gonna leave an opinion...but majority of this comment section feels the same already. I was saddened to see Jefferies drop that pass..Nick was on his Rocky vs. The Russian adrenaline....Saints got lucky.
I don't understand everyone's love affair wit Carson other Nick foles. Smh, Carson is not a clutch quarterback. If we go with him we won't win a Super Bowl again anytime soon if even make a deep run in the playoffs
The secondary playing better got us in the playoffs... Our Defense gave up two leads in the 4th quarter, allowed Tampa Bay to jump out early, no running game throughout the season. When the Eagles had Blount and Ajayi, Carson was virtually unstoppable!! If we can pull off another downhill runner keep our DL in tact and develop our young secondary we're be right back with home field throughout!
Max is right about this: Keep. Them. Both. You have that $20m option *for this very reason*. So you can keep Foles at least while Wentz is still relatively cheap. Keep them both.
The Eagles are better with Foles at the helm. It doesn’t have to make sense. It just is the reality. If I’m the GM, I trade Wentz. Foles in an Eagles jersey just makes sense.
Both Wentz and Foles handled being off the field great; we didnt hear about any arguing in the locker room, any fighting at practices, or any types of distractions during the time either was playing. The fact that people don't believe that these 2 can't co exist on the same team is ridiculous #ITSBEENPROVEN Look at AB and JUJU, when one gets more touches and yards; we don't see that with these two QBs; the prime position of any team.
Here's the thing, Wentz and Foles are too different to compare to each other. Foles is the more polished dropback type of QB, but Wentz has a high floor and could still improve by the time he's Nick's age - also he is a better athlete. What they need to do is take a page out of the Pete Carroll playbook. Reinvent the Eagles as a run-first team, and invest in the offensive line. Look at how Russell is not running for his life anymore.
It makes absolutely zero sense how people are saying Wentz should stay in Philly when we have all seen with our own eye's that the offense is better operated with Foles-- its a FACT. Even if Wentz is the better QB, HOW CAN YOU PLAY FROM THE BENCH? Max is right, yall trippin !
Trade Carson Wentz you can get a HIGH first rounder for him... KEEP Foles... Foles has proven he works very well in Philadelphia...if the plumbing ain't broke, don't FIX it.
Raiders have a bunch of 1st rounders, but you'd need to get an additional good player on top of that too, and not sure if they have any that the Eagles need..
The same argument you have with Foles and Wentz is the same you can have with Rodgers and Brady. One qb is more talented and is able to do things physically the other can't do but the one less capable is more structured and fundamentally sound and consistently makes the safer plays, gets everyone involved and gives your team a better chance to win. Its great to make a throw running to your right, throwing across your body into double coverage on 3rd and 19 but Foles and Brady would never need to do that because they made the safer plays prior and they are looking at a 3rd and 2 and in FG range.
Except Brady is infinitely more talented than Foles, not even a close comparison. Team also matters, Rodgers is carrying his whole team constantly his coach was trash and he never got any help, Brady always has all the tools he needs and he has the best coach in the history of any sport on his side. If Rodgers was in NE playing for Bill he would have just as many rings if not more and if Brady was in GB he would also suffer just as much as Rodgers
But you can say Rodgers is infinitely better than wentz. Im not comparing their skill levels Im comparing the perspective of them. I truly believe the difference is really how they are perceived. When you're really good and carry yourself like you're better than others it alienates yourself. People say Rodgers is a bad leader because he gives the impression that he has to do it all himself. I hear that's why his teammates don't play as hard for him. Not intentionally but unconsciously. Brady and foles to a point are guys people rally around. Beyond the physical there is a lot more mentally you have to think about. I agree Rodgers would probably have more rings in NE but I disagree about Bradys struggles in GB. His winning attitude is infectious. He's won at every level.
@@AdioAsh Thank you Adio, people don't see the bigger picture with play-by-play scenarios and perceptions. Aside from the stats, there's also a part of me that thinks the Media Outlets favor the athletes that can be hot headed simply because there's more showbiz to build from them. In a weird way, Foles is too humble for this league so it doesn't surprise me that sports analysts are ready to see him leave Philly or even retire lol I know that's not all of the people in the media, but it seems like a lot.
What work so good one year may not the next year. Defense has a whole year to prepare for you. It’s about in game adjustments that makes the difference. Plus losing players to injury is another story.
Best ability is AVAILABILITY, Carzon wentz has been on IR 3 of his last 4 years. ... trade Wentz maybe for 2 1st round picks, and stay with Foles, the only one QB on eagles history to win them a superbowl.
As a Cowboys fan I like Wentz as a QB, but the Eagles offense plays better with Foles. He took the 6-7 Eagles to the playoffs and they played much better ever since he started.
I’ll tell you one thing. Any team that takes up Nick Foles is a team I will follow. The same with Wentz. And the Eagles will always be my home team, no matter what.
Nick Foles isn't a better QB than Carson Wentz, but the security of Nick Foles along with his experience in the Post Season, running Doug Pederson's Offense, and the Eagles players having a lot of faith in him makes me believe that he's the guy that they need
Stephen A seriously thinks Wentz could have done what Foles did these past two seasons? What an idiot. I'm a Cowboys fan, everyone knows how blind we are to emotion and fanaticism - but I'll admit Stephen is dead wrong on this. The Eagles will be far lesser without Foles, especially when "Wince" gets injured again as he continuously has in his very short career.
I love me some Saint Nick. That Eagles D could not stop that Saints 3rd quarter drive and of course Alshon's drop ended the "magic". Keep Nick or Wentz may very well end up like RGIII.
As a cowboys fan I would absolutely love it if they kept Foles AND Wentz on the team. One thing that they're not mentioning is the financial aspect of the whole situation: the eagles are in cap hell right now and don't have the money to keep all of their let players as it is. If they kept Nick Foles it would pretty much cost them everything
@@Hxomicide he didn't got hurt on his first year but I know about the injury history. But I think the disrespect is real if wentz really sucked the eagles will still be without a lombardi trophy. Everyone treating him like the next drew bledsoe of 2001
Foles is absolutely a better quarterback than Wentz...the best ability is availability...Wentz is barely available. Case closed. Stephen A should know better in this argument.
I believe the Eagles are making the right decision. How do you know Foles will stay healthy an entire season? He's played about 12 games the past two years. Wentz doesn't have to have surgery for the back issue and will be completely healthy next year. Thank you Foles.
Nick Foles utilizes the Eagle's offense better than Carson Wentz can and that's not even debatable.
Well it is debatable if you look at the 1st 13 games of last season...
Idiots..lmao Foles is a back up
Most certainly is debatable.
No Foles isn’t better but that offense looks much better with Foles

Is it weird I miss the skip and Stephen A, back and forth on first take?
im on the same boat also Carrie champ.. molly just annoying tbh
Nah man everybody misses it, SAS is still funny but he was in his prime with Skip.
Same
Yeah Max can't fuck with Skip.
not weird at all i miss it to
I beg to differ Foles won you a Super Bowl and got you back into the playoffs. Hes proven to be clutch.
all at home.. thanks to carson wentz winning 10 games in a row to get the #1 seed. without carson wentz, foles wouldn't of won it all last year.
HEXONE4LIFE can nick do it for a full season though?
Wentz got the stuff to win a Superbowl too
@@angelmanny7027 lol same thing i said he doesn't play a full season
Keep Foles. Carson wentz too many injuries
And now his back? By the way he hold on to the ball too long. Foles released quickly
Everyone gonna look back at this when Wentz gets injured again
Brokan or laugh when he has an MVP type season
Brokan okay 👌 the he gets injury again duh fuck , next man up. We not planning on him to get hurt duh fuck but eagles like to have good back up QBs.
Brokan can’t wait until wentz take us back to the super bowl then what? Eagles still want more rings.
@@George-Cancel Hes injured every year
Take a risk with Wentz or hedge your bets with Foles. Time will tell
Foles Won The Bowl against Brady all I got to say
Has everyone on here forgotten how good a healthy carson wentz is?? When healthy carson was the MVP. he threw 33tds and only 7 ints. He went 11-2. Without wentz eagles wouldn't have been in the position to make the playoffs or super bowl. Foles is great and a legend and the offense does look really good with foles but what were we all saying when carson wentz was healthy and took the eagles 11-2? Yea that's what I thought. 🤔🤔🤔
Yes but it only matters *IF HE'S HEALTHY* , those stats don't matter UNLESS HE'S HEALTHY. That torn ACL has shown that he can't be fully healthy.
I don’t see how you stick with Wentz when you can clearly see the team plays harder for Foles. Foles is their guy.
hope Nick Foles can find a team that will actually appreciate him and beat the Eagles ass every year
Even if he on the giants with Barkley and Odell eagles toast
That Alshon Jefferey drop is almost a blessing in disguise. Made the decision easier for them
Foles is a superbowl MVP and beat Brady....
Foles > Wentz
Eli and Flacco have also won superbowls and Eli even beat Brady......guess they are hall of famers lol
Why do people say a qb beat another qb they didnt play each other they played the opposing defense. Brady set a record for yards in a super bowl he put played foles foles just had a better defense
Foles has highest passer rating in nfl history in playoffs big difference
Foles went against the genius belichick
Wentz >Foles
Be careful, youre making too much sense.
Don_Julio lol
plus you dont gotta pay Wentz just yet, he’s still on his rookie deal and Philly already has little cap space
eoe123321 I meant to type the Bears and Saints he threw two in both games.
Funny thing is most of the people saying we should trade Wentz aren’t even Eagles fans
Cause they're all hoping we trade Wentz to whatever crap ass organization they cheer for!
sean terrell facts
Brett Favre is totally correct:
The Eagles go nowhere with Carson Wentz.
Keep both and just put them in rotation
Nick Foles truly makes the defense, offense and everything work better, it’s fluidity at its finest along with clock management and mistake free option football. Just as Brady and Brees or any good Quarterback helps rest up the defense with long drives. Also I know Foles with Ajayi or say McCoy back would be ... amazing and some nice pieces in a big trade of wentz n to the sunset
FOLES is BALLIN OUT JUS LIKE BRADY INCREDIBLE 💪🏽🦅
Foles is a legend here, but Carson is better. And the best thing for Wentz’ development is to move Nick Foles.
If Foles isn't better then why does he have more success than Wentz?
Mark my words. If Carson Wentz gets the reins and Nick foles gets traded then they will def regret it
I agree with Max...franchise Nick Foles. Pay for that security.
Wentz is a walking injury report. He's only like 25 and already reminds me of injury prone Romo. Congrats Eagles fans you got yourself a Romo Jr lol.
When wentz goes off next season please please please stay on NICK FOLES NUTS. ( I Love Foles but he’s just simply not better than wentz)
Bruh forreal, Wentz is going to have the off-season to rest up get healthy, work on timing with the WR's and then he's going to SNAP next season
Exactly! Don’t hop on my guy bandwagon next year
Its alot of casual NFL fans that are saying Foles is better.
Don_Julio explain why he’s better...I’ll wait
Brian Legere Look at the stats they explain themselves lol
Wentz>Foles
Damn
Nick Foles did more in four game than Carson Wentz did his entire career so far.
Insomniac Gaming y’all forget last yr
Wentz still living off 13 games damn near two years ago, as a Cowboys fan trade Foles please and keep Wentz
Cutty Cain it was just last season
FJS people still living in the past when it comes to Wentz, he had a great 13 games in his career, the other 40 or so games not so much
Cutty Cain out of the 40 games he’s played , he’s had a 100+ passer rating 16 times and has had at least a 90+ passer rating 28 times
Nick Foles isn’t a better quarterback, but he fits the system more
Nick Foles beat Brady and the Patriots and won Superbowl 52 and MVP Trophy.
Carson Wentz has to prove he can stay healthy for a full season and win a playoff game for the eagles. Period
Foles is a better quarterback
I agree with Max.
Foles isn't a better *regular season* quarterback than Wentz. But give me Foles over Wentz in a win or go home game.
6-7 with wentz while foles won almost every game
Foles had a better more healthy team
I think foles is better. The offense works better when hes under center.
All im going to say is that Wentz has a lot of pressure next season. He better make the playoffs and actually play in it🤷🏾♀️
people forget that the eagles were in playoff mode from wk 14 Rams, Texans, Redskins , Bears were all must win games. that is pressure. for me wentz doesn't have the clutch gene. to me he is the future RG3. makes financial sense for the eagles to trade foles though. if it was me personally I woud trade wentz. but it is unlikely that would happen
Carson Wentz might be a more athletic QB than Nick Foles.... BUT, Nick Foles is a better leader.
It's OBVIOUS... Foles is better.. Foles beat a 5x Champion 😦
@Loyal Philly fan He won a super bowl against TOM BRADY..
He’s not. But Carson Wentz is 1 bad injury from retirement.
6-7 with wentz while foles won almost every game thats how he is better
Loyal Philly fan he outplayed tom brady the team didnt carry him
@Loyal Philly fan Foles beat a 5 TIME CHAMPION.. Weintz can't beat the Titans🤣🤣🤣
Carson Wentz is so overrated that it is ridiculous. I would put my money on Foles anyday.
Watch Foles go to NYG, take over for Manning and lead the Giants to the top of the NFC East.
@eoe123321 I'm going where the real talent goes foles don't care where he play that's my quarterback forget Wentz I hope if foles do stay close by giants I hope he own the eagles for the next couple of year's for what they doing to him
I hope not
Foles beat a far more superior Rams team by arm with a very degraded Eagles roster.
Lol dallas goedert trash
At least Foles is reliable. If Foles could somehow become the QB for the Vikings they’d be nasty.
Eagles should trade Wentz while he still has value.
Yep. One more injury he is worthless
True but what has Wentz done real talk. Everyone says he’s better but what has he done the last two years?
Nick won out this season to put The Eagles in position to repeat, and won out last year. With Nick he’s proven in the playoffs. The end game is The Super Bowl right?
This is really a no brainer. The team plays harder for foles. And first thing a QB needs is heart foles has a ton wentz not so much
Nick Foles is not a better Qb than Wentz, he has too much inconsistency, too many over aggressive throws that came to bite him in the Saints game.
Foles has many intangible attributes that Wentz doesn't and that's very important, nor can you put a price on that
I think Nick has done enough to compete for the starting job for the Eagles.
Thank u
Your forgetting What wentz did last year. Its idiotic to trade a franchise qb after on mediocre season
If the Vikings would have beaten the bears for us to get in the playoffs.... we wouldn’t have this convo
Overrated stfu
I was gonna leave an opinion...but majority of this comment section feels the same already. I was saddened to see Jefferies drop that pass..Nick was on his Rocky vs. The Russian adrenaline....Saints got lucky.
WHAT?????? FOLES BEAT BRADY IN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!! THIS IS EGREGIOUS AND BLASPHEMY
Oh right! Brady replaced Butler at CB! Totally forgot about that!
If you win a super bowl as a qb you should start
I don't understand everyone's love affair wit Carson other Nick foles. Smh, Carson is not a clutch quarterback. If we go with him we won't win a Super Bowl again anytime soon if even make a deep run in the playoffs
Stop saying we your not an eagles fan
The secondary playing better got us in the playoffs... Our Defense gave up two leads in the 4th quarter, allowed Tampa Bay to jump out early, no running game throughout the season. When the Eagles had Blount and Ajayi, Carson was virtually unstoppable!! If we can pull off another downhill runner keep our DL in tact and develop our young secondary we're be right back with home field throughout!
It's like Kirk Cousins, he gets the stats but it doesn't lead to wins.
Max is right about this: Keep. Them. Both. You have that $20m option *for this very reason*. So you can keep Foles at least while Wentz is still relatively cheap. Keep them both.
Nick Foles is better wentz's is always getting hurt sorry to say his career might be over next season
Steven A.. nick is better then wants. Nick doesnt get hurt
The Eagles are better with Foles at the helm. It doesn’t have to make sense. It just is the reality. If I’m the GM, I trade Wentz. Foles in an Eagles jersey just makes sense.
your dumb
This is why your not one
@@nickfoles_9thegoat916 oh... the irony.
the best quarterback is a quaterback who makes the team confident and isnt injuered
Skill for skill, Wentz is clearly better but Foles gets more from his teammates, the team plays better with Foles than Wentz.
So they weren't play good when Wentz had them 11-2?
Both Wentz and Foles handled being off the field great; we didnt hear about any arguing in the locker room, any fighting at practices, or any types of distractions during the time either was playing. The fact that people don't believe that these 2 can't co exist on the same team is ridiculous #ITSBEENPROVEN
Look at AB and JUJU, when one gets more touches and yards; we don't see that with these two QBs; the prime position of any team.
If Carson Wentz is better, he HAS to take the Eagles to the promised land. No excuses. Let's see.
These guys are unreal acting there’s this gap between the two, there isn’t! I’d keep foles over Wintz
Wentz might be the best long term but with our squad rn... we need to win NOW
Here's the thing, Wentz and Foles are too different to compare to each other.
Makes sense. Trade the guy who is proven against a guy who is always injured. Also hire unproven jesters as coaches. NFL logic.
If Dallas was smart and they’re not they would drop Dak and go with Nick Foles
It makes absolutely zero sense how people are saying Wentz should stay in Philly when we have all seen with our own eye's that the offense is better operated with Foles-- its a FACT. Even if Wentz is the better QB, HOW CAN YOU PLAY FROM THE BENCH? Max is right, yall trippin !
Wentz thinks his best on the thumbnail
Trade Carson Wentz you can get a HIGH first rounder for him... KEEP Foles... Foles has proven he works very well in Philadelphia...if the plumbing ain't broke, don't FIX it.
Motley Byron 😂🤣
Raiders have a bunch of 1st rounders, but you'd need to get an additional good player on top of that too, and not sure if they have any that the Eagles need..
Wentz will never win a super bowl in his career! Facts!!!
Go back to crying cowgirl
He took the 6-7 Eagles to the playoffs and they played much better ever since he started.
yes he is
I’ll tell you one thing. Any team that takes up Nick Foles is a team I will follow. The same with Wentz. And the Eagles will always be my home team, no matter what.
I think Nick proved that he is a better QB for the Eagles than Carson.
Wentz cannot be the "future" if he cannot stay healthy.
Keep foles and let us the giants get Wentz💙
Nick Foles isn't a better QB than Carson Wentz, but the security of Nick Foles along with his experience in the Post Season, running Doug Pederson's Offense, and the Eagles players having a lot of faith in him makes me believe that he's the guy that they need
wentz injury prone. foles only 30? he can still play 5 more years. trade wentz and you can alot of assets
I agree with this comment right here.
I think he can play for more then 5 years
In 2 years we will be talking about what qb the eagles should draft.
Foles is the better QB.
I love me some Saint Nick. That Eagles D could not stop that Saints 3rd quarter drive and of course Alshon's drop ended the "magic". Keep Nick or Wentz may very well end up like RGIII.
Foles wouldn't won a SB if wentz didn't gave them 11-2 streak
As a cowboys fan I would absolutely love it if they kept Foles AND Wentz on the team. One thing that they're not mentioning is the financial aspect of the whole situation: the eagles are in cap hell right now and don't have the money to keep all of their let players as it is. If they kept Nick Foles it would pretty much cost them everything
Foles is easily better then wentz.. What has wentz done besides be injury prone?
Second team all pro, pro bowler, MVP candidate
The main reason they got home field last year was because of Wentz ...TF you talking about?
Gave them 11-2 streak you must not watch football that much
What can you do with an injury prone quaterback? Foles has shown more potential in my opinion then wentz . not saying wentz isnt good
@@Hxomicide he didn't got hurt on his first year but I know about the injury history. But I think the disrespect is real if wentz really sucked the eagles will still be without a lombardi trophy. Everyone treating him like the next drew bledsoe of 2001
New York and Jacksonville need a QB
Foles is absolutely a better quarterback than Wentz...the best ability is availability...Wentz is barely available. Case closed. Stephen A should know better in this argument.
I believe the Eagles are making the right decision. How do you know Foles will stay healthy an entire season? He's played about 12 games the past two years. Wentz doesn't have to have surgery for the back issue and will be completely healthy next year. Thank you Foles.
