As it was, I received very little real-world wisdom from my parents, and I actually think it's far more important than most of what you're taught at school. School just left me with the impression that I would go and work for a company for 40 years and then retire. Even that isn't true these days. Starting your own business wasn't even presented as an option. As for languages, I absolutely hated learning German. Forcing kids to learn stuff they aren't really interested in, and don't 100% need to exist in the real world, seems like a waste of time. If the motivation isn't there, it isn't there. You can't manufacture that. For most people, the motivation appears later in life, which is fine - so what's wrong with starting to learn then? Also, whether people realise it or not, learning never stops. So why try and pack it all into the school years? Just stick to the essentials - IT, english, maths, science, finance, law, politics, exercise, healthy eating - and a few optional ones for those who want it, like music, history etc. Everything else can be discovered later, at your own pace. And why on earth was I forced to do drama?! Absolutely zero interest in it and not an essential life skill!

Do not fully trust AI it's not infallible.
I believe the language thing has been in effect for about 20 years now, I know i didnt take one & I left in 2015.
