- In this video, I challenge myself to a fast-paced journey learning as much as I can about Frankfurt's Holocaust history in just 2 hours. I'll share my thoughts and feelings as I explore the city's memorial sites, learn about the experiences of those affected by the Holocaust, and reflect on the importance of remembering this dark period in history.
Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed this video! A note on the Jewish memorial. The small rocks and pebbles on each name come from the jewish tradition of placing a stone on the grave as a mark of respect. This is usually done with the left hand. There's another video on this channel next week...and opinion piece. Thanks for watching. James.
This was nicely depicted in the film Schindler’s List at the end by both the main actors and many of those survivors, whom they portrayed.
You did well to cover those in two hours.
I walked past Battonstrasse on my way to work, so I was very aware of how many plaques were outside.
Hi James, just been to Frankfurt and found Ilsa Haas's memorial plaque.
Thanks, James Jim Jimmy!
No worries!

Nice one Jimmy.
Never hurts to remind us of the past whilst it still plays a part of our so-called 'improved and more enlighten times'. Eh Comrad.
Yasin was 'the man' 👍 [ Bet you didn't admit you were a Plumber 😉 ... 'are you a journalist '!].
Haha! I did tell him I was a plumber on RUclips but he didn’t understand!
