I don’t think this is from the Shout! Factory Blu-Ray, but this should pretty much be the same transfer, which is why I was unsure if labeling it with what year the releases came out. Edit: If anybody from the UK is watching this video, what do you think of the new 4K Blu-Ray transfer? Edit #2: I'm going to update this video soon, so be on the lookout. Edit #3: The new and improved version is now released, check it out here: ruclips.net/video/TfJS_Ts5ZFM/видео.htmlsi=aBHjmOlEEN8LeQap
Yup, I believe the Empire State Building was the tallest back in the 1930s, but by the 1970s, the WTC was built, beating the Empire State Building in terms of height, so the tallest building in New York would be the best option for a remake set in the modern day.
When I first heard the news of the Blu-Ray in early 2021, I was so excited. The idea of including this rare version for the first time on ANY home video release was what’s. Made me immediately preorder it. The timing seemed perfect to me. A few months earlier,i had been complaining to myself on why I wasn’t able to see the extended version, so seeing extra footage that was in widescreen, and even in HD, is what made me treasure the item. O course, I understand why people might not like the Blu-Ray as much due to the blacks looking WAY too high here. I think the night scenes tend the suffer from this problem, but otherwise, it was a pretty good transfer in my eyes. But please, do what’s best for you.
DVD wirkt im Gegensatz zu der Blu-ray lebendiger - also weniger aufgehellt. Die Blu-ray ist - und auch nicht zu übersehen, Schärfer. Aber sie verliert an Farbkontraste. Was NICHT unbedingt Positiv bedeutet. Die Farbgebung (Was ich persönlich bevorzuge) geht auf jedenfall an die DVD!

I think DVD was better...
Dvd looks better in this scene at least
this aged like fine wine
Thanks for the upload !! Both look the same to me !!
You’re very welcome!
DVD looks way better.
WTF!? Almost always, Blu-Ray looks much worse than good old DVD...
Fact: Peter Cullen, Optimus Prime does the vocals of him in the movie
Isn’t that only partially, though? Didn’t he start coughing up blood from that, so they had to use a stock dinosaur sound?
Wonder if we'll ever get a 4K ultra edition release of this film?
It seems that other countries are getting one towards the end of the year.
Yes 😁
@@1978hoops Well, THEY’RE certainly lucky.
I live in California and they are releasing this awesome steelbook version in the uk i might buy, its apparently region free
@@haraldhill6141 i already order mine, the steel book is sold out now
Remember the fuss that they didnt use the empire state, but it was decided the TTs were taller,

The blu ray looks wayyy better than here.
I apologize for that
The Blu Ray would be better if it has different color grading.
On dirait que l’image du dvd est meilleure par rapport au blu ray

Blu-Ray looks like crap.
DVDのが良いなぁ(笑)
Bence olamaz DVD daha iyi olması.
DVD çekimli filmler var bende Blue Ray yanında kötü kalıyor
