Vav's in BMS that I've put in always operate on a 10"supply duct from a main looped trunk. Presure always there when it's called for. Thanx for this video. Keep up the great work..
@@TitusHVAC a rooftop unit with multiple vavs serving a conference rooms. now when RTU tstat reaches its setpoint the RTU airflow reduce its airflow to minimum which affects the vav capacity and gets hot in the conference room. can a fan assists vav solves this issue?
@@sagittariusmax5419 The thermostat for the RTU should be placed in a central location like a lobby or a hallway near a return grille. It often works best to use a remote sensing thermistor or RTD placed in a return duct, so the RTU can control based on return air temperature. The RTU should be set-up to keep the VAV terminal units supplied with adequate airflow and inlet pressure regardless of room loads in individual spaces being served.
