My family and I went on this yesterday. I said to our first order guard:
“It looks like they’re letting just about ANYONE become a first order officer these days...”
Silently and slowly, he looked at me up and down, and finally said:
“It appears the resistance is getting rather desperate...”

sameeeeee! Honestly I never wanna go back to real life and just stay at disney 4ever
I still haven’t gotten over it. I rode this ride about 20 days after it opened so there weren’t that many videos, and I went in completely blind. The bus doors opening and all of the storm troopers standing there was the most surreal thing in the world. I’ve never been so immersed in a ride, not even Flight of Passage, and at the point when I rode it I had never seen a single Star Wars movie. This was what got me into Star Wars. It’s incredible.

Hearing everyone so excited when they enter the Star Destroyer is great. It's well deserved, the ride looks fantastic.

Is easy to say that this ride wen't way beyond everyone expectations, it's just perfect.
they have actually cut the ride, before you enter the escape pod, there was meant to be big battle with you and other prison cars, and AT AT were meant to move as well. not just the guns
wookieeMan06 just be lucky the ride even has what it has at all. My mom has a friend who helped work on the ride, and he said he’s surprised the ride even got this far, since it has 3 different ride systems in place and it’s so technically advanced
@@brandonthetoyandgamecollector well the Asian parks already have technically advanced rides, some more advance this.
wookieeMan06 If you're speaking Disney parks in Asia, I've been to them all and I don't think there is a ride that is more technically advanced than this. The only one that I can think of that's at the same level or maybe a bit more advanced would be Pirates of the Carribean: Battle of the Sunken Treasure.
That is one ride that I know of as well, but the new b&b ride is really advance in animatronics and trackless ride. All there is protection which is pretty impressive as well
So many great people were there, I love the effects like the hologram and the lightsaber through the roof. So cool and immersive. This is the way, I have spoken

We need more attractions of this quality and scale ! I must say Disney outdid themselves on this one !

When we were on the little pod broke down so we went behind the wall and went to a different one. The ride was so cool though.

There is some real attention to detail here. Check out the interrogation at 9:00. Hux and Kylo Ren are clearly on a projection screen, but they have tracked the motion of the characters and used a *second* projector somewhere else in the room to cast shadows for the figures, making them look three dimensional and helping to sell the effect!
Uh, Hux and Kylo Ren weren’t a projection, they were audio-animatronics
@@geekhotel1785 I'm skeptical of that. You can see the distortion of the air around Kylo's hand when he uses the Force, and it's definitely how they do many of the Stormtroopers later in the ride (though Kylo and Hux on the bridge of the Star Destroyer are definitely animatronic). I'm willing to be proved wrong though.
King of the Monsters - Those clearly don’t look like animatronics. They’re walking and moving around too realistically to be animatronics. They don’t even look like they’re actually there.

Raleigh Peralez Yeah when I rode it I was confused why we were looking at empty ride vehicles since other trackless rides usually having you mingle with other groups. But when I watched them go back in I was like ohh, that's how they get there for guests very clever.

I mean, it's a good idea but nowhere near "brilliant". I mean maybe to a kid it's brilliant. It's moreso just confusing that you're mingling with a few empty carts that don't have riders in them. They could have just cut that part out completely. Not sure why the imagineers thought it was a good move.

Best part of the ride is when you first step into that Star Destroyer with the two lines of troopers. The size of that room alone took my breath away! Felt like you were really there!
My jaw is hitting the floor *so hard* like Supreme Leader Snoke's head. That's it, this is going down in Disney history as the most immersive and technologically innovative attraction ever created. *I can't wait until it opens at Disneyland!!!*

I can't figure out how they had you board the transport in the resistance base and wind up exiting on a star destroyer. Unless the transport actually DOES move, and the star destroyer is another set adjacent to the resistance base?
@@WhiteTiger950 the transport is on a moving turntable attached as a simulator. It rotates as you’re inside and leads you into the show building. Look at the lines below the door

Went on this last week, the most incredible ride I have ever been on. Just so cool when they open the doors and the clone army is right there, you really feel like you're in trouble lol.
Stormtroopers. Not clones. Though I do wish the regular imperial army was featured more, stormtroopers are supposed to be like, shock troopers I think. You rarely see the regular imperial army.

No, you will be amazed yourself. You'll be so taken by the surroundings and the action that you will not care about anything else.
As someone who has experienced this first hand, it’s the most incredible part of the ride stepping off of that bus and seeing all of those troopers standing there. I wouldn’t blame anyone for acting that way, especially since they were some of the first ones to ride it and probably were going in blind.
@@kierrahope4600 it really took the ride to the next level, and the fact that they hide a lot of this rides size from the front of the attraction also adds to the immersion that you are in space on a destroyer. That tie fighter on the right side when you walk in, made my nips so hard. Sorry TMI

I was fortunately able to get on this before the parks closed but I come back from time to time just to watch those preshows again

Wowzers, this is way better than the falcon attraction and likely one of the most immersive Disney rides yet. I hope it doesn't deteriorate and lose effects over time

It already broke down on the first day, the Imagineers complained that they needed more time to work out the kinks.

I got to ride this before it opened, it was amazing and extremely fun! I was wearing a crush the resistance shirt so one of the actors looked at me like I didn't belong on the ship and then continued walking.
Truly, I'm always skeptical when a ride gets so hyped up. Went to Disney last month and was able to ride. It exceeded all my expectations and then some. This ride is incredible. It's more than a ride. It's an experience. It actually makes you feel like you're in a Star Wars movie. Bravo Disney. You really knocked this one out of the ballpark.

It blows me away that you enter the shuttle in one door, take off, get taken over by ISD, and leave the same door into a different scene. Awesome immersion. I would have thought you would go out the other door. I wonder how they did that. Thanks for showing this.
@ Ah, yes, Ren and Hux wouldn't be on an ISD. Of course, there are a ton of them in the new movie.

Escape From Gringotts and Rise Of The Resistance
Just rode this yesterday.. unforgettable experience! We got ther at 7 AM and it sounded like a scaled down version of new york on new years eve when boarding groups opened!
Ill be there on Monday. What's the wait time like??
Gene Connelly we got there at 6:30, got into the park 7:10ish (the park allowed people in at 7 so the line was pretty quick), and they opened boarding groups around 8, you really only got 5ish minutes MAX to get in the boarding group to get a pretty secure spot. We got 52 and was able to get in like around 11 but we were on tower of terror. Luckily, they normally let u get in within a 2 hour period.
this is the coolest thing i've ever seen i can't wait to ride it for myself

This ride was truly amazing. We got in the park at 8:15 a.m. Our boarding group wasn’t called until around 7:00 p.m. I waited in line for 4 hours for it while it broke down twice. I kept telling myself it would be worth the wait. I was right. The attention to detail was truly amazing and the holograms and lightsaber through the roof looked real! I felt as if I was really trying to escape from the First Order. I’ve watched this POV like 10 times since riding it yesterday 😂 An amazing experience that I recommend to Anyone and everyone. AMAZING JOB DISNEY!

I went on this ride a week ago!!! My first order officer said you will follow my instructions, he looked so serious, so I replied “whatever you say” he then turned to look at me and answer “indeed you will do what I say” hahahah everyone was like oooohh. Then the girl across from me wouldn’t stop giggling!!! And the officer said “Since you think this is so funny you wouldn’t mind Hearing a joke” she said “okay” the officer with a dead serious face said “The Resistance” 😂😂😂 The ride was seriously mind blowing!! I feel so lucky to have went on it!!!!

Having ridden the one at Disneyland, I was in awe watching this video and seeing how identical the two versions really are!
Can I just say I cried when seeing this it was so well done that I just cried!
Wanted to ride this ride for years. Went to Disney world for the first time in 16 years last week. Waited 2 hours in line for this ride. It was SO worth it. No other ride can compare to the immersion, the thrill, and the role play really puts you there. When you first get pulled in by the tractor beam and take your first steps on the starship, it really feels like you're there. Can't wait to go back!!!!
Just everyone on their phones filming it... Just experience the ride... then again... I wouldn’t be able to watch it 😂
I rode this yesterday! Whenever we were going to the interrogation room, I smiled at one of the First Order officers. He looked at me strangely and said “You seem suspicious.” A moment, and a ride, I will truly never forget!!
I certainly hope that the Imagineers can get this ride in working order on a consistent basis. It looks extremely fun.
I rode the ride yesterday for the first time and my family totally enjoyed it, but still don’t know how when you first go outside to the ship then somehow enter the base, such a great experience
I was stumped at first, but I’m pretty sure the ship slowly drops underground into the hangar. You can see a rectangle shape above the ship.

I’m am not a Star Wars fan in the slightest and this ride was incredible
From a technical and set design aspect, this is the greatest ride I've ever been on(Spider-Man a close second). The storytelling, however, was a little wonky. We essentially failed the mission by getting captured and almost gave away the coordinates to the secret base. Technically the Resistance deserves all the credit for rescuing us and we should be lucky we're alive. So the congrats for us completing the mission, was a little strange.
However, story aside, absolutely brilliant.
