I’m about to have one installed on my Schecter. When I first looked into it I was like that’s a lot of shit to remember lol. The more videos I watch on it, it makes more sense. Can’t wait to try it out!
Got my Solar in Nov 20 played daily (almost). Evertune still in tune with only the slightest tweak on the low E once. It’s set to bend on all strings. Very happy.
I've realized I've watched so many of olas videos and learned so much. I've realized I've never dropped a thank you ola.. Thank you!!!! Your a big help in navigating my lack of knowledge in guitar electronics and accessories and such.
Evertunes seem like a lot more trouble than necessary, cool concept just a lot of moving parts that make it really complex. Maybe that’s just me as a punk guitarist who plays stripped back guitars and having to change tunings a lot.
No ur right , for me its totally unnecesassary .... It seems , it making more problems , than without it . And now they r putting evertune bridges on very cool guitars . I dont like . I like normal bridges ....
I love mine. It's easy if you check their instructions. Nothing difficult and it holds the tuning perfectly! It's hard to look back at "normal" bridges now.
Does the evertune prevent the strings from going out of tune in zone three? I mean, I know that the guitar will stay in tune no matter how hard you play, or how cold/hot it is. But is that still valid in the bending/vibrato position?
It's a great innovation and an informative video, i was curious about this. Personally i wouldn't put one on my guitars. I don't mind adjusting my keys once a while. However this must be a great thing for those that tune down heavy. Questions for those that play with an evertune, does it affect sustain in any way?
Not that i have noticed. Also, once you actually tune the bridge, it stays there. You can change strings and if it is the same gauge, it will automagically be in tune once you are in zone 2. The exception is when there is a change in temp or humidity and the neck itself tightens or relaxes. Then, you have to re-tune.
@@jasonryan4994 thanks, so string gauge wise it's sort of like a floyd rose. How does it work when you change strings or your tuning? Is it a nightmare and do you have to go string by string to make it easier?
Once you're in Zone 2, how much do we have to keep turning? That isn't explained here. Is it as soon as you hit Zone 2 you just stop or do you turn a few times or do you turn right before Zone 3?
If you sit in the middle of zone 2, you won't be able to bend strings (the bridge will just compensate), so you want to be just below zone 3, allowing bends to work
Oh I get it now, it's like a Floyd Rose floating spring system, but without pivot points and a bar. Zone 3 is like a "decked" trem, and you want it floating just on the edge of decked so your bends work.
So I am looking at buying a new Solar Guitar but I am on a budget. Do you make a 7 string with the Evertune Bridge, not picky about body style, that would would be under 800$. Love the vids Ola.
Sounds like your tension might be in “Zone 3”, as Ola describes in the video. Try loosening the tension in those strings using the headstock tuners and see if the saddles eventually move back (to “Zone 2”).
I'll stay with a Gibson TP6 tailpiece, nut sauce in the string nut slots, and the mandolin string post winding method. Once stretched, my Gibsons hardly ever go out of tune. Save your money kids. Maybe get a Kahler.
So you still have to tune the guitar. It's just that when it goes flat, instead of falling out of pitch it'll stop you from bending. But what if it goes sharp? then it would move into zone 3 and you'd be out of tune. Am I understanding this correctly?
I have a customers Solar 1.6 on my bench right now and I feel like I have to go to school to learn how to tune these guitars. Honestly it seems very much like a gimmick or a solution to a non-existent problem to me. Simple is better.
Evertune would be so much better if it didn't suck all the tone out of the strings. My guitar sounds so dark and bassy it only sounds good through my Marshall Valvestate making my 5150, Dual Rectifier, JCM 2000 all unusable.
Of course it's for lead playing, you just didn't have yours set up properly, its as easy to solo with an evertune as it is on any other bridge.... Ola did this series { this is the first video in the series}, to explain exactly how to set these bridges up so they play as any other bridge does. Go to 2.42 on this link from Ola and watch him play lead with an evertune, and again at 3.41, same as any other guitar. ruclips.net/video/KFv6F0R8rUE/видео.html The next video in this series explains how to set up for bending...ruclips.net/video/wrGYvJW35c8/видео.html
Wow. Ola being professional
An Ola video with no chug? Bad sign, must mean he went vegan and joined a Carpenters cover band. 😁
I am pretty sure there was minor series of flatulence somewhere in there, barely audible.
This was waaayy easier to understand than i thought it would be
I love all stages of Ola but this is his most adored form. We know he is fun and goofy but let’s not forget he is the king of bedroom metal musicians.
This bridge is awesome, and is a lot easier than it looks

I don't have an Evertune currently but find this very exciting
If the saddle moves wouldn’t that change intonation?
Thanks for this series! Clear, concise, well presented. Nicely done, sirs!
Very helpful video series on the Evertune! Thanks for making it easy to understand!!
He should have burped at the end to emphasize the seriousness of the video.
I don't own an Evertune guitar (yet) but this will be helpful series when I eventually do.
Perfect timing I’m getting my new solar 7 string soon !
I could see this tech being extremely practical on the lowest strings on an 8 string
Evertunes seem like a lot more trouble than necessary, cool concept just a lot of moving parts that make it really complex. Maybe that’s just me as a punk guitarist who plays stripped back guitars and having to change tunings a lot.

It barely takes any more effort honestly. It's a huge convenience at the end of the day
I love mine. It's easy if you check their instructions. Nothing difficult and it holds the tuning perfectly! It's hard to look back at "normal" bridges now.
What's your problem, still changing tunings on your guitars? Haven't you got the memo?
We're all using pitch shifter now. Get with the times. 😉
These ar awesome and really work perfectly. I had one on a Teye guitar loved it.
Very informative. Thanks a lot! 😎
This was awesome info, thanks Ola!

THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!🤘🤘🤘🤪
This is gonna help big time once I get ahold of one 🤘
Great introduction!
Great video series!!!!!
Can it be played in zone 3 if you want it to behave like a conventional bridge? Or will that put excessive wear on the components?

How does the intonation work ?
There's a separate allen key spot for adjusting intonation.
I just got a solar explorer style 7 string with the evertune. Its not hard once you understand how it works. I really like it
Great video, much easier than I thought it would be!
Could anybody tell me if for downtuning you need a thicker string gauge?
I need me one of these
How long does the spring last in the evertune? And is it easily replaceable? Just like a trem spring it’s gotta get weak at some point
Would it be okay if I had it D standard tuned in 2nd zone and tuned it to E standard in 3rd zone using the pegs?
Once you're in Zone 2, how much do we have to keep turning? That isn't explained here. Is it as soon as you hit Zone 2 you just stop or do you turn a few times or do you turn right before Zone 3?

What about Intonation when the saddle move forwards?
Hey, you mentioned a string compatibility app. Where is that available for download? I can't find it anywhere.
Bridge string suspension

Whoa... Still easier than tuning a Floyd rose but this is fun knowledge

And if i forget or misplace the tuning "key?"
Very nice but can it tune a les paul?
Do you still need to stretch the strings
This is great
The guitarstore setup my guitar, now the 3 highest strings tune at the headstock.. How can i fix this?
Sounds like your tension might be in “Zone 3”, as Ola describes in the video. Try loosening the tension in those strings using the headstock tuners and see if the saddles eventually move back (to “Zone 2”).
Just a a 1.7lb wish I couod have gotten the purple burl in a 7 string.
When I get in zone two I can’t tune my string up high enough to get into tune. What do I do?
Sell your guitar and start wearing womens clothing
@@GeorgeZimmermen good idea, do you have any I can borrow?
@@FALpwn already shipped
@@GeorgeZimmermen many thanks! Can’t wait to wear that sundress and start a grunge band with my mistuned guitar😂
So its a huge hassle to install and makes tuning the guitar twice as hard? What is the purpose of this?
My evertune had screws falling out the back, when I emailed them they and showed screenshots of what happened they just blocked me
😳 WTF
I want an evertune guitar bad but I’m nervous about understanding the bridge will see how this video goes
It's very easy and rock solid. They are an amazing feature. You'll love it!
Who tf is the one person that disliked this. How could you dislike this?
The one dislike is the guy who can't afford a Solar
Wait ...... SO OLA MAKES EXTRA VIDEOS ON THIS CHANNEL.....SUBED
Lol it just makes sense being as popular as he is and owning the company!
I dream of A Solar guitar without the 12th fret inlay.
If I would get a Solar, I would get one with an evertune bridge.
Hell yeah Ola
this bridge seems to be a lot of work.....
I've watched this 20 times my guitar still messed up 😥 I did stuff without strings on now it's all jumbled
Thanks In Advance...!!! ;)
Tuning was omitted in the video.
makes a floyd rose look like easy
Son 1 and Son 2 ... ?
Ola englund the professional
I'll stay with a Gibson TP6 tailpiece, nut sauce in the string nut slots, and the mandolin string post winding method. Once stretched, my Gibsons hardly ever go out of tune.

Willlllll it bend?
Yes.
Interesting but, so confusing

🍺🤘🍺
If this thing breaks ohhh god have mercy 😭
Doesn't this make the intonation bad?
I have a customers Solar 1.6 on my bench right now and I feel like I have to go to school to learn how to tune these guitars. Honestly it seems very much like a gimmick or a solution to a non-existent problem to me. Simple is better.
If I hate Floyd Rose will I hate this?
Volkswagen poeguoet bwm yeah slayer aaaa
You've not started at the start, how does it Know what key it should be. This's crap
Needs a bar.
Evertune would be so much better if it didn't suck all the tone out of the strings. My guitar sounds so dark and bassy it only sounds good through my Marshall Valvestate making my 5150, Dual Rectifier, JCM 2000 all unusable.
Quelle est cette diablerie ? !!!!
Hey Ola, ya got something hanging from your chin??? Gross!? 🎸🎶👁😜
I was surprised how many people dont understand evertune and also need to put hatefull comments about it 🤦🤦🤦.
That looks like a whole lotta nope.
A fully functional EVERTUNE is not for lead playing. I once owned an EC1000 Evertune and I hated it

Ummmm, I don’t know what’s going on, I just over my fear of Floyd Rose
I can see how Evertune can work ok for rythm guitarists, but for soloists it’s nothing you would want.
This still makes zero sense hahahaha
Dear Brion James , i understand nothing at all . explain it better
Too much bullshit just to tune a guitar
